On this first day in office as Romanian foreign minister, I find it poignant to celebrate the UN International Day of Women in Diplomacy. I am looking forward to work with all my colleagues in the ministry at headquarters and abroad as well as with our international partners. I am thrilled many among them are women. Being a woman and a diplomat is not a special privilege, it is a reflection of the world. It is also an achievement for many women that bring their contribution and vision in a field that is both difficult and demanding. I am pleased to say that Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania 🇷🇴 is a champion in the field. At our embassies and consulates as well as at our headquarters hundreds of women diplomats are part of the team and this is also reflected at leadership level. Moved by their achievements and much looking forward to encourage women in diplomacy!

In my interview with LBC, I explained that this is a full scale revolution that is growing organically through the leadership of numerous leaders, which is why the regime has a much harder time to crack down on the protests as it cannot pinpoint a source. Now is the time for us to unite around what we all want, which is freedom, the overthrowing of the regime and establishment of the secular democratic system in Iran. The people of Iran continue to embrace the support of President Trump, as it gives them hope to continue towards the overthrow of this evil regime. I am sure that President Trump also appreciates the sacrifices being made by the people of Iran, not only for their own freedom, but the safety and security of the entire world. We are required to exert maximum effort and work with sincerity and precision. 📌 People have the right to complain and raise their voices, but that should not change our plans. 📌 I can work in emergency mode or with a firefighting approach, but that does not truly serve the people. 📌 Today people may demand electricity, so we spend all available money fixing electricity and say we have calmed them. 📌 But after two months they will ask: you solved this problem—what about the second, the fourth, the tenth? 📌 A firefighting policy only exhausts us; it does not provide a comprehensive solution to our accumulated economic problems. Frankly, this is not a policy for a state.

I wanted to show respect, because true Saudi folklore is unique, deep, and not something you casually copy.
