Sometimes one of the best paths to begin the healing journey is through our smiles, laughter and joy. I was blessed this past week to have the APALACHEE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM come visit me at the production soundstages I’ve been filming at here in Atlanta, Georgia. As the world knows, Apalachee High School in Winder, GA, has endured the unimaginable tragedy of a mass shooting. I didn’t know what to expect when I walked in to meet them - I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by their spirit and energy. I looked these kids in their eyes and hugged ‘em - I know they’re in great pain, but man are they resilient and staying strong. It was as if they just needed a reason, an opportunity to just “let it all go” in this moment. As we said goodbyes, the last kid I hugged said, “we needed this Rock” (so did I) I can’t begin to imagine what these players and all the students, teachers & staff of Apalachee High are going through right now, but I’m here in any and every way I can be - to give my support and love to them and their families as they begin their healing journey. God bless you all. We Are One Apalachee. ps, I’m in touch with Coach Hancock and as promised, I’ll be there for your first home game.

How can players make a big jump next year?!?! For High School and College players… they all put in work with their coaches. Most of them have a trainer they see to put in work. So what is the separator? 1. Are you working on the right things with your coaches that are going to help you be a better player working your team and overall 2. HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU PUT IN THE GYM ON YOUR OWN. This is a HUGE SEPARATOR because this time isn’t dependent on anyone and is unlimited in how much you do. Almost every player I’ve worked with that has made a BIG JUMP has put in extra time on their own. It’s not only because of the work, but it also helps players understand their game better and gives them a bigger investment in their development. As a player you should assess that part of your development today!

🏈 🔥 WATCH all the way through the end of this video to see spirited high school football players at South County High School exercise their civic duty to speak up for celebrated football coach Gerry Pannoni, who just lost his coaching job in a case of alleged retaliation in Fairfax County Public Schools. What’s more: FCPS allegedly shut down the South County football program and let go ALL of the coaches until a new coach is named and removed access to coach access to Hudl, a video platform, hurting students who are being recruited by colleges. In June 2024, I began reporting a local high school story for the Fairfax County Times Pearl Project with sports reporter G, and it became Virginia’s biggest youth sports scandal: controversial recruiting practices at Hayfield Secondary School in Fairfax County Virginia that led to a wider community reckoning on the issue of integrity in sports and calls for the resignation of fcpssupt Michelle Reid for her mishandling of the case. Today, at South County High School in Lorton, Va., about 300 football players, athletes and students streamed out of Door No. 1 at 2 PM to march on Laurel Crest Drive, shouting, “Reinstate Coach P.” Last year, Pannoni and other coaches raised red flags about alleged recruitment problems at Hayfield, and the school district official told coach Pannoni on Friday that he had lost his job. Parents and coaches say they are hearing that Reid is allegedly planning to retaliate against all the coaches for embarrassing her. FCPS denies the charge. FCPS sent a media relations officer to follow the march. He sat in the back of an FCPS security cruiser. FCPS Superintendent Reid investigated Pannoni for an audio tape with parents, indelicately describing the Hayfield recruiting as akin to “grooming.” We have learned that the principal had allegedly told Pannoni that students didn’t feel “safe”around the coach. The students I interviewed reveal a different story: speaking about Pannoni’s positive impact on their lives. “We love Coach Pannoni,” said many a student. This story speaks to wider issues about transparency, accountability, and integrity in both governance and school districts. Today, high school students spoke out when the issue touched their lives very personally, speaking up with clarity for a coach they respect. Just look at the 2nd kids swing and lack of balance and tell me he’s going to be successful with that. Remember Aaron Judge was a 3 sport star in High School and a 1st round draft pick before he met lil richie. The HeLP graveyard is filled with MLB & Minor League Baseball players who tried to swing like this and failed but if you look at lil dicks social media accounts all you see are videos of Aaron Judge and Kerry Carpenter. During the PSL 2 draft, teams were required to select emerging players from their own region. As seen in the clip, Rehan Ul Haq bhai was informed (watch the VIDEO) by Misbah and others that Shadab Khan was not from their region. However, Rehan convinced Faisal Mirza, who managed PSL player categories, to announce Shadab Khan as an Islamabad United player. It is clear that Shadab Khan is a Rawalpindi region player. He was born in Mianwali and debuted for the Rawalpindi region before the PSL, having played all his cricket for that region. Therefore, with IU fans logic Islamabad United’s entire PSL record over the past 10 years should be declared null and void, and their trophies should be revoked. (Just to add here. Rehan ul Haq bhai has already clarified he has no issues with Naeem and he's happy for the LQ. This for the IU & other franchises fans only.)

Again, I think a bit of a group think there obviously by definition it can’t be successful for all the teams that were engaging in that strategy. But on the other hand the analytics which all the sports are using today suggest that it’s a potentially a winning strategy and that is to race to the bottom in order to get higher draft picks. Make sense. Now fast-forward. Here we are watching Sanders in Cleveland, smiling, more settled, seemingly at peace. New environment. New coaching. New chapter. And then comes the moment most people missed because they weren’t listening closely enough. A new coach in the Cleveland Browns, Todd Monken says something quietly, but powerfully: “I was going to draft you… but it all worked out.” Read that again. A few stick around and become a staple. Such as the rondo, or the 4v4+4 Guardiola rondo variation. One that did not stick around in the coaching collective consciousness that possible should have was Thomas Tuchel’s use of hexagonal and octagonal playing areas in training sessions. Tuchel explained that cutting off the corners and angling the pitch forced “sharp diagonal” passes that would help break the press. The positioning of players outside the hexagon/octagon or players close to the edges will be manipulated into an open body shape by the angles of the pitch. Players are impacted by environmental constraints and embodied cognition, where the geography of the playing area influences their actions. This influence spreads to the creation of triangles and diamonds within the playing area due to the “funnel” like nature of the playing area. We can use the cut outside angles by placing bounce or target players on the exterior, influencing the movement and organisation internally. The inside players will not have to move wide as those areas are occupied. The internal players will seek to create passing angles using the positioning of the outside players and their internal team mates. The diamonds and triangles will appear. If we leave the spaces on the outside empty players can move to fill the spaces. Standing at 6’9 with a 7’3 wingspan and a 44 inch vertical Kyle has the tools and frame you want from an elite defensive big in the NBA. Defensive 3 in the key and removal of physical hand checking has made driving easier than ever. 2. Analytics: Eliminating midrange shots and forcing far more 3-pointers has spiked scoring. 3. There was a young kid on the internet who told me that I use Ohio State Football for clout. I responded to him that “you have a firm grip on the obvious”. The young guy thought that he was clowning me and I had to help educate him that I was leveraging myself and my experiences there. When you’re former player on any team that you contributed to, it’s your responsibility to socialize, network, make yourself visible and create relationships for yourself after the game is done. The university isn’t looking to edify and connect with former players unless their connection helps the current state of football and its program. The university will typically allow you to come to practice, go to a golf outing to help them raise money or some other philanthropic event that they see benefits them and most athletes show up in the spirit of just wanting to be around. I see most looking for “someone to hook them up” or “do some favor” in exchange for little value. I’ve seen it for years. Most dudes just like to come around, get drunk and relive glory years. When I come around and associate myself with Ohio State Football I’m coming to do business. I’m going to phish for opportunities or I’m leveraging those old glory years stories for personal advancement. Every time the school references the 2002 National Championship they’re living off of contributions I made so I feel it’s only right to “Get Mine Regardless”. I don’t want any scraps. I don’t want to be some old has been. I don’t want to be an extra at someone’s golf course and I don’t want to be someone’s personal mascot. I show up to own, participate in equity groups and get all I can from my affiliation. I understand the social equity I’ve created over the years. I just had to educate myself enough and discipline myself enough to take advantage of it accordingly…. So to the young guy. I won’t say the jokes on you. I’ll say that you’re watching someone take advantage of something that very few former players know how to take advantage of. Shedeur Sanders may have fallen in the NFL Draft to the 5th round, but he is winning the hearts and minds of Cleveland Browns fans on and off the field. On the field at their mandatory mini camp in June, Shedeur went 41-for-53 with nine touchdowns and one interception during team drills. Shedeur had the highest completion percentage and the most TD passes of the Browns QBs competition over Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco, former 1st round pick Kenny Pickett and the talented Dillon Gabriel who was drafted before him in the same draft. All Shedeur has done is put in the work and be a good teammate. No complaining about reps. No complaining about where he is on the depth chart. Just work. Off the field, he has made it a point to connect and support his new community in Cleveland. He just went to the Garden Valley Fun Fest to talk and have fun with the community impacted by an explosion at the Rainbow Terrance Apartments that killed 1 and displaced over 100 people including 40 families. Before that, he went to speak to the youth at a Cleveland public school John Marshall High School about respecting themselves, respecting others and being a leader. And after an 8-game starting season in 2023, he emerged as a bonafide NFL QB prospect during the 2024 season. Years ago, the Detroit Pistons absolutely OWNED Michael Jordan for multiple seasons. Their game plan was simple: Mike is soft. If he drives to the basket hit him HARD. He hates hard fouls. They utilized this plan to perfection, beating the crap out of Mike over and over again. Eventually, a few things happened that changed this: 1. MJ went to David Stern, who was the commissioner of the NBA, crying about these hard fouls. 2. David Stern changed the rules to enable MJ to get his points off without the hard fouls. 3. (My opinion) MJ started using PED’s and lifting weights. He packed on 20lbs of muscle. _________________________________ I often hear people making stupid comments about how Lebron James would not have been as dominant in the 80’s and 90’s due to these hard fouls. 😂 Lebron James is 6’10/280lbs. He eats weights like most NBA players eat weed. THAT CRAP WOULDN’T WORK with LBJ!!!! Years ago, the Detroit Pistons absolutely OWNED Michael Jordan for multiple seasons. Their game plan was simple: Mike is soft. If he drives to the basket hit him HARD. He hates hard fouls. They utilized this plan to perfection, beating the crap out of Mike over and over again. Eventually, a few things happened that changed this: 1. MJ went to David Stern, who was the commissioner of the NBA, crying about these hard fouls. 2. David Stern changed the rules to enable MJ to get his points off without the hard fouls. 3. (My opinion) MJ started using PED’s and lifting weights. He packed on 20lbs of muscle. _________________________________ I often hear people making stupid comments about how Lebron James would not have been as dominant in the 80’s and 90’s due to these hard fouls. 😂 Lebron James is 6’10/280lbs. He eats weights like most NBA players eat weed. THAT CRAP WOULDN’T WORK with LBJ!!!! Even AFTER using PED’s and lifting weights for years to go from 195 to 215, Michael Jordan was still smaller than LBJ was in HIGH SCHOOL!!!! (Them) “But Lebron is soft! He would not have been tough enough for the 80’s and 90’s!!” Soft????
