CSS Trick 🤙 You can use scroll-driven animations on the inline axis to create list animations like in these cards 🫶 article { animation: vibe; animation-timeline: view(inline); animation-range: cover 40% cover 60%; } @keyframes vibe { 50% { scale: 1; filter: grayscale(0); }} Here you use a view() timeline with the inline axis set inside the function. This means you can hook into the horizontal scroll position of an element inside its scroller 🙌 In this demo, you set a default smaller scale and make each card grayscale 🤏 article { scale: 0.8; filter: grayscale(1); } Then the animation happens as each card enters from the right at 0% and leaves to the left at 100% 🎞️ 50% is the halfway point and in your keyframes you make each card grow and saturate at that point before returning to its original state ✨ scroll-snap provides a nice look-and-feel here and on mobile 🫰 It's really as straightforward as that but made so much easier with a few lines of CSS 💙 For the parallax effect, you can animate a background-position on the card or the object-position on an img depending on what you go with 🤙 Lastly, you can use this today with progressive enhancement by wrapping your scroll-driven animation code in @supports and @media ⚡️ Users without support still get a decent experience! send/receive update There are over 1000 tokens configured with a sprite and set to send and over 500 set to receive on the send/receive network. 8968 editions were minted for free over the claim window and I set the final edition size to a clean 10k. The remaining mints will be used as an onboarding mechanism to introduce on chain interactive and participatory art to new people as I continue on my mission to make what we do around here interesting and compelling to new audiences. Seeing this many people interact with the work has been super meaningful, and I'm excited to keep expanding on the project over time. I particularly enjoyed having my kids log into @Artblocks with an email which generates a Privy embedded wallet and guiding them through the process of purchasing a mint off secondary and configuring it (after I funded the wallet with a bit of ETH). Once they set it up they ran to the living room where we have a receiving token set up and watched and waited until their's appeared. We sit around and watch the live view often pointing out all the fun sprites but when they saw theirs they got REALLY excited and continue to do so as they walk past it and see their contribution every day. I think there's something really interesting about all this. Seeing yourself in a networked artwork like this seems to be compelling to folks, and I am excited to watch the network of sprites grow over time. I'm especially excited about the perpetual nature of the work, and the fact that all of the information and logic is on chain in a way where it should continue to operate as long as the Ethereum blockchain continues to produce blocks. Am also shocked at how cheap the customization of it is. You're storing a lot of info on chain for less than $1. Was always worried about this being on L1 and I know we can't count on this forever but really really pleased with the low cost to participate. If you have a token and haven't set it up yet just know it's super easy and smooth thanks to the Art Blocks UI that the team built. But if you're still intimidated maybe consider commissioning your favorite pixel artist to create a sprite for you. Anyways make sure and check into a live view every now and then to see all the sprites that have been created by the community. Change up your send/receive state or swap out your sprite when you're feeling it. I hope you're enjoying the experience of on chain participatory networked art as much as I am.

Hyperspace: The Agentic OS Apple Should Have Built On December 19th, 2024, we announced the world’s first Agentic Browser. What followed was a movement — a new category was born which led to many early products in this space and recently the hundreds of people lining up outside the The Agentic Browser Summit in San Francisco underscored that. Silicon Valley instinctively gets it, from students to tech executives, people can feel a revolutionary new change in computing is in the air. Past year taught us why such a product was inevitable, a hard engineering effort, and also the last mover in the entire software world this decade if and when done right. All paths are headed in the same direction: one tool which orchestrates them all. At Hyperspace we showed that path with essays and products we launched in earlier months: from a spatial UI of orchestrating agents, to showcasing transparent activity in how the AI system operates which leads to user trust, to presenting the software end-game, which massively improves human productivity. We also built the world’s largest AI network, drawing participation from people in almost 6000 cities around the world contributing their machines as nodes in the network. Think Uber, but for AI. That is, planetary-scale. And now we are stretching this industry ambition further with our end-to-end vision of the Agentic Supercomputer, the first breakthrough new AI OS, and an effort which spans from AI research to distributed systems to inventing a new UI to inventing a new business model to complement it. Thinking about $ETH and the current state of crypto... there's two interesting facts that keep popping into my head... 1) Defi on Bitcoin never took off This really surprises me honestly because I always thought it would (I assumed via EVM or SVM L2's), but it hasn't, not even a little bit. 2) No other L1 has really staged a significant challenge to it either Like seriously... its pretty much just Ethereum now... is it not? Solana has had tremendous success obviously (and I like $SOL and own some), but its all sort of Solana-specific, if that makes sense... And beyond that, no other chain has even come close to matching Ethereum... At one point in 2021 there were other chains that got really popular for a time- first BSC, then Fantom, then Avalanche, etc- but really none of those were able to sustain the momentum. And today, if you want to do anything serious in crypto, you are going to build it on Ethereum (or on something else that is itself built on top of Ethereum). Steve Pack aka Steven Pack | RockSolid- from RockSolid Network- talks about this in the below clip. Its an older video but I was re-watching it and the segment struck me, as it really sums up what I think is the biggest bull case in Ethereum's favor... Which is that for all intents and purposes, Ethereum IS crypto at this point. Bitcoin has fully moved into its "store of value" era, which is awesome and which I support, but the fact is that there is nothing built on top of Bitcoin. And indeed only a tiny minority of $BTC holders actually hold it on chain. And I'm not even saying this is bad- it just is what it is. I actually disagree with those who lament the Bitcoin ETF's and the Saylor accumulation and institutional adoption and etc - I think these developments are a net positive and were always bound to happen. But Bitcoin is definitely not "crypto" at this point (the BTC maxi's were right about that in the end, interestingly). And then yeah, in terms of on-chain stuff, Solana has had a lot of success with memecoins and the sort of degen trencher world (and for a time I thought they were going to see breakout success via livestreaming on PumpFun, but then it pretty much died out)... But for any serious "crypto" stuff its going to be Ethereum. So yeah... if, like me, you are still bullish $ETH for the above reasons (or just a masochist, depending on how you want to look at it), and if you want to earn yield on it and support its decentralization, then I highly recommend RockSolid Network. I've been an advisor to them for awhile now- hence will use this partnership tag thing, although these are just my thoughts and me trying to support them in general, not a specific advertisement or something- and I really view them as the best of the best as far as Ethereum and its roll in crypto goes. They are hardcore idealists in every sense, and have tried to do everything right in building the project, abiding by the original OG Etherean ethos and the spirit of decentralization and permissionlessness and etc at every turn (they've also built their vaults without token incentives or points programs or hints of an airdrop or anything else, interestingly)... In this regard, right now there are three RockSolid vaults... a) the Rocksolid $rETH Vault b) the RockSolid AutoPlus Looped $ETH Vault, and c) the new RockSolid MegaETH USDm Vault (will link to this one below!) Highly recommend checking them out! And also highly recommend following the RockSolid Network account, as well as co-founders Ben Ward and Steven Pack | RockSolid 💪 And yeah... I really do believe that crypto will get its time in the sun... and that eventually all these assets will get the valuations they deserve... And at that point there's honestly nothing in crypto that I think should be valued as high as $ETH 🫡
