They have these fear mongers writing reams of warning on information sites - covering almost 80% of human beings who use or take some medicine daily (30+ in the West take some or the other meds if not for body it’s for the mind. If you or someone you know suffers from allergies like I do, sinus rinsing can drastically improve the lives of those affected, I’ve tried just about every OTC allergy medication made Claritin, Allegra and the like, some of them make a drowsy and others don’t show me personally any positive results. Some sinus rinsing techniques are a little awkward and messy I use the Navàge sinus pump and it works wonders for me and I’m certain you will get similar results during allergy and cold seasons, if you’ve never heard of it I put a link in the comments.
