You know what made Kobe Bryant so SPECIAL? In a meaningless preseason game, he was going ALL OUT as if it were the NBA Finals. He even got mad at one of his rookie teammates who didn’t foul at the end; Kob wasn’t ready to surrender even with a 5-point deficit. Bryant NEVER half-assed ANY game; he never cheated the fans! I see A LOT of talk about why the NBA ratings are down based on the on-court Xs and Os, but nobody is discussing the players' mentality and will to win. One reason many fans have stopped watching the NBA is that the players themselves don’t care about the regular season. Mike and Kobe were maniacally competitive; their teammates shared about that mentality, saying even in practice, they would play as hard as ever. This mindset is GREATLY missed in today’s game Make the NBA competitive again! 👊🏼

This latest mini-doc on Bublik’s last season is a great reminder of how much the general audience often doesn’t know about what’s really going on with players’ health / daily life. In this case, Bublik admitted that he was hurt after winning Hangzhou and arriving in Beijing. It also looks like he had an MRI, but still tried to play. Looking back at the pricing on his match against Mannarino (which he lost quickly in straights), the betting markets were unaware of the situation too. Another strong reminder of why responsible gambling and proper staking plans are a must. Also, even if one player’s fitness concerns are publicly known, that doesn’t mean the other player is 100% healthy — just because there is no information online doesn’t mean everything is fine and the other way around. That’s why I’ve started taking pre-match fitness narratives and retirements with a grain of salt in recent months.

You honestly cant just dismiss Thomas Frank as a candidate for our managers position because "hes Managing Brentford" He started as an Assistant Manager at a mid table Brentford in 2016 Got promoted to Head Coach in 2018 Took Brentford to 3rd in his first full season Then got them 3rd and won the playoff in his second season Got them to mid table in the Prem in his first season beating Arsenal on the opening day, and got some big results ever since like winning at Chelsea, beating Peps Man City, Klopps Liverpool, and got them to the quarter finals of the Carabao Cup this season This is Brentford we are talking about. A side who had never tasted Premier League football before Frank, and a side who we all know are punching above their weight. The work hes done there is impressive and he has every chance of becoming one of the Worlds best coaches Im fully supportive and excited at the thought of bringing him to N17, and I think everyone else should be too if we can manage to get it done 🇩🇰

As we wrap up our games for the year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the journey we've had since March. Our season has been filled with excitement, running right through to this bank holiday weekend, culminating in a total of 1,002 games played. We were fortunate with the weather, allowing our games to proceed smoothly. A huge thank you to all the coaches from U8 to minor who trained each week, preparing their players and coaching them on match days. Your commitment is truly appreciated. We also extend our gratitude to all clubs for hosting games, as well as our officials and coaching and games staff who assisted during the latter stages of the programme. This initiative could not function without the invaluable support of our volunteers, coaches, club officials, and parents who travel to support their children. Congratulations to all winning teams, especially our U8 boys who completed their first year representing their clubs. Every year I zoom a few of these people on Xmas day But there’s sadly too many. Luckily @samaritanscharity have been there for years, 365 days of the year answering the call for those in need Now our new video drops on our official YouTube channel at 10am tomorrow. It’s a joy. A musical love letter to my wife But the whole point of it is to raise awareness cos not everybody has someone to go home to. She came armed with emotions. FT Bodø Glimt 2 -2 Spurs Well that was easily our worst performance of the season so far. Was it a combination of Frank’s team selection the players individual performances and the pitch ? probably. Whatever happened tonight it could have been so much worse with them missing a penalty and blasting over right in front of goal. Bodø were superb tonight Hauge scored 2 terrific goals their second was so badly defended by us especially Vicario Spence & Porro. There was nobody out there on the pitch tonight than can get away without severe criticism ok maybe Archie Gray. Bodø will continue to cause havoc to teams at home. I guess the only positive we showed resilience to fight our way back into the game. They’ve only lost 1 of their last 17 games. When all said and done somehow we got an extremely valuable and undeserved draw and a UCL point. We are 4th in the EPL and the UCL just now 🤷🏻‍♂️ We move on #COYS 🤍

Every season I try to challenge myself and ask “what can I get better at and how can I reach that next level?” and this season has been a dream come true with being trusted with new opportunities that I hope is only the start. I got a phone call back in December two hours before our pregame production meeting that said “if the Wild win tonight, you’re going to do the live player interview on FanDuel so be ready.” The Wild ended up taking a 5-2 victory over the Dallas Stars and I was able to talk to Marcus Johansson. I was able to do that four times this season. Later this season I then got a phone call from the Frost to fill in and cover rinkside duties for their tv broadcast. My biggest pinch me moments from this season that I only dreamed about growing up here in Minnesota, to being a wide eyed kid working the St. Cloud State hockey broadcasts rinkside reporting, and now working for the hometown team. Grateful, blessed and more determined than ever to keep chasing down dreams. Now for some playoff hockey! 🤍🏒
