𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗗𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗘: 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗪𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗢 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗢𝗦𝗨𝗡 I am pleased to share our administration’s journey to ensuring every household in Osun State have access to potable water in fulfillment of the sustainable development goal (SDGS) 6 of providing clean water and... sanitation. Immediately after our inauguration in November 2022, we set out to address the acute shortage of clean water to residents of Osun State, most notably the rural dwellers. With the successful completion of construction of 332 boreholes across all political wards in the state within our first 100 days in office, we have followed it up with strategic upgrade and renovation of several water works in the state for effective and efficient supply of clean water to the people. The completion of the ongoing renovation of Ora Igbomina waterworks, expected to serve about 5 or more local governments in Osun Central, and the renovation of Iwo Water Works, expected to serve the people of Iwo Federal Constituency , is another milestone in our quest to ensuring every household in Osun enjoys clean water. Today, in an historic event marking our administration’s second anniversary, we welcomed our father and elder statesman, the Former President of Nigeria, General Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, to the capital city of Osogbo, to commission one of our administration’s landmark projects in Osun State. The newly completed dualisation of Old Garage-Oke Fia-Lameco road, which has now been named the “Abdulfatai Adekilekun Ajadi Badmus road” in honor of an illustrious son of Osogbo land, is in fulfillment of our unwavering commitment to transform the Osun State Capital, into a modern Capital City for all Osun indigenes and non indigenes alike. The late Asiwaju of Osogbo was a true patriot, with whom we conceived the ongoing transformation of Osogbo City, and we remain committed to positively transforming the capital and the state for present and future generations. Today, I had the privilege of leading a team of state officials on an extensive tour of the Adiyan Water Works I & II. This visit reaffirmed our commitment to delivering 100 million gallons of clean, pipe-borne water daily to Lagos residents. The tour became necessary in order to asses the level of the work done since the contractor have been mobilized. This water project is pivotal. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is determined to solve our water challenges, and we are making significant progress. The ongoing laying of 8.1km of 1600mm Diameter Ductile Iron (DI) pipes for raw water pumping mains are being laid along the stretch of the expansive Adiyan premises. The Project Manager, representing Salini Nigeria Limited, Mr Cifola Daniele has assured the Ministry that the ongoing construction of 320,000³/day water treatment plant that will be of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Standard. The Water Treatment Plant project which will be closely monitored by the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources is expected to run for a period of 36months and it will definitely put an end to scarcity of pipe-borne water to various communities in Lagos State. The goal is clear: to ensure every home in Lagos has access to safe, clean water. APC Did Everything Humanly Possible to Win Osun — Aliyu We did our best. We did everything we thought was enough to win the 2026 Osun governorship election. The people of Osun decided they wanted the Accord Party, and that is the beauty of democracy. I congratulate them. There was a lot of internal wrangling in the APC in Osun State in the buildup to the election. Some people were not happy with our candidate. Yesterday, as part of the activities marking the second anniversary of our administration in Osun State, we held a friendly novelty football match between members of the State Executive Council and the Osun State House of Assembly, led by Rt. A government that invests in education invests in its people, and a government that invests in its people invests in the future of the entire state. In the last 4 years, Gov. Ademola Adeleke has treated the future of the good people of Osun state with priority by investing in Education. Osun state people cannot afford to go back to the days of dilapidated classrooms, Unpaid Classroom teachers, Inadequate classroom teachers, these are some of the reasons the good people of Osun state wants the continuation of good governance. Enough of sending a bulk percentage of Osun’s money to a generalissimo in Lagos.
