Standing there were Freddie Ljungberg and Emmanuel Petit - two Arsenal legends who won the lot and helped shape one of the club's greatest eras ๐Ÿ‘ And almost nobody acknowledges them. Not after a win, not on their own patch, nothing. But Declan Rice was the one exception, and honestly, it was great to see. The way he took a moment to acknowledge two men who helped build that club says a lot about his character!!! Football has a short memory, and I get that. Courage - The capacity to endure, struggle, and act despite facing extreme danger, pain, or death. 8:46pm: Outside of the Home 2 Suites on University Ave in Minneapolis the first video is posted by and protesters have already blocked the road with trash bins, garbage, and are making a loud racket. Roughly a hundred people are outside of the hotel they believe federal agents are staying at. 9:09pm: Rioters are lighting off fireworks and the crowd is growing. They are blocking traffic and controlling the road. The outside of the building is vandalized, and the crowd is writing, โ€œF*ck ICE" on the windows. 9:19pm: Agitators are attempting to storm the entrance and are met by hotel security. โ€œYou got to get out right now.โ€ says a staff member as he tries to lock and bar the doors. Strobe lights, noise makers are constant while the hotel staff pleads with agitators to leave. โ€œAll the staff is local, man.โ€ 9:51pm: One lone MPD officer is attempting to assist hotel staff and is barricading the door. Rioters push, shove, and attack the staff to keep the door open. Objects go flying and reporters are hit with glass bottles/ice bottles. โ€œF*ck you!โ€ Rioters scream. Itโ€™s at this moment the rioters attack the outside of the building. Ripping signs off, defacing property, hacking at the structure with shovels. Hotel staff continues to be assaulted. Debris is starting to fill the lobby. Shortly after, the first windows are shattered. There is still only one police officer present. Reporter on the ground states, โ€œDoesnโ€™t seem like more police is expected to come.โ€ As the battle for the lobby rages, multiple clashes and confrontations continue.; Roughly 10:52pm. 3 officers from the Bureau of Prisons arrive. Running down the sidewalk tossing tear gas canisters as they charge into the fray. Explosions go off and all BOP officers head for the front doors. โ€œGet out of our city your pieces of sh*t!โ€ screams one rioter. One person approaches the front and yells, โ€œI am not scared of your pu**y ass!โ€ and heโ€™s immediately hit by a bean bag round. โ€œGET BACK!โ€ Shouts the BOP officer. Clouds of gas envelope the scene. The lone officer is bloodied off camera as he guards the entrance while hotel guests are evacuated. Surrounded by 10+ reporters he shouts, โ€œWhere is the local PD?! Thatโ€™s my question to the press. Where is the local PD?โ€ โ€œPlease, give me some room. Itโ€™s me and 30 people. Please, get back.โ€ One press member offers assistance due to his bleeding. He turns and spits blood onto the ground and maintains his post. โ€œGET BACK!โ€ He bellows to the crowd and provides instructions to his team inside to not bring any guests out the front. Another officer arrives from inside and maintains the post. It is now almost 11:00pm, and there is no sign of back-up. With bloodied hands, he uses his cell phone to make a call. โ€œWe need you here.โ€ Roughly 11:04pm the main officer exits the hotel to confront a rioter and an object come in off screen and strikes him in the head. 11:05. 40 Years Ago Today 26th of March 1958 - 15th of May 1986 ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Elio de Angelis - 28 years of age โš ๏ธ Information about the fatal accident Elio de Angelis was a prominent Italian Formula One driver known for his elegance, musical talent, and technical skill. Often called the "last gentleman player" of F1, he was highly respected by his peers for his polite demeanor and fair racing style. Racing Career (1979โ€“1986) De Angelis competed in 108 Grands Prix, primarily for Lotus, where he achieved his greatest successes. Death and Circumstances De Angelis died following a testing accident on May 14, 1986, at the Paul Ricard Circuit in France. The Accident During a test session, the rear wing of his Brabham BT55 detached at approximately 270 km/h. The loss of downforce caused the car to cartwheel over a barrier and land upside down, where it caught fire. This being a test day, nobody witnessed the whole incident, although two Benetton mechanics manning a speed trap caught the final stages. The car became airborne and then flipped into a series of rolls that pitched it over the guardrail, before it eventually came to rest inverted. The survival cell was intact, but the rollhoop and the fuel tank had been damaged as the car bounced over the barrier, and fuel was leaking out. De Angelis himself had suffered only a broken collarbone. Initially there was only some smoke. With little official help โ€“ Alan Jones who was the first driver on the scene said later that he was joined by two marshals wearing shorts "who just didn't have a clue" โ€“ attempts to turn the car over proved fruitless. Gradually a fire took hold. Meanwhile drivers, crew members from Brabham and other teams began to arrive from the pits. It was all too apparent that, this being a test day, there was insufficient safety cover โ€“ there was no Prof Sid Watkins, no fire vehicle and, it soon emerged, no helicopter. The main problem was not being able to turn it over. Because he was not badly injured he could have been pulled out pretty quickly, had the fire been kept down a bit. Eventually de Angelis was removed from the car. He'd been starved of oxygen by the flames, and it was discovered that he had no heartbeat. "We took his helmet off, and we really weren't sure of his condition," said Alexander. The streets walked upon, and the air has a smell that you can sense (Or maybe it is the smell of the theatre). ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜†: Fiction interspersed with Real events of Kandahar hijack, Parliament att@ck and 26/11 keeps you grounded, and you never lose the sight of why this is not just a regular gangster drama and actually a Spy thriller with Gangster backdrop. ๐— ๐˜‚๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฐ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—•๐—š๐— : Highlight of the movie. It could have easily spoiled the movie, but Shashwat Sachdev is brilliant in mixing the right amount of retro songs, hip hops, raps beats and at times only bagpipes to keep you hooked to the screen. ๐—˜๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด: Superlative. The film is 3 hours 34 min long, but the editing is so sharp that you never feel bored or have time to check your phone... every scene is important for the story, and nothing feels overdone or extra cooked. ๐—–๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€: This is the strength of the writing to create character with rich backstory, ample amount of time to develop on screen and each character comes with a motive. Each character is either grey or black except the female lead who is shown as naive and kiddish due to her age which is also important for the story. ๐—–๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด: The casting of even minor character is top class and that says a lot about the whole cast that has some big names. ๐—–๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ต๐˜†: The settings are so real, but it is the camera work that brings the alive on screen. The first shot of the movie where a plane is parked in the midst of mountains in Kandahar and Madhvan is standing alone outside smoking... waiting for the minister to arrive to rescue hostages... That scene is breathtaking and surreal. ๐—”๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป: Raw, real and brutal and necessary for the world that Dhar has created. The choreography is impeccable... you feel every kick, every punch from the screen. The stunt team is brilliant. ๐——๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป: Now you have all the ingredients and money, but you can still make a mess of it if the director is clueless (eg War2), but Dhar shows why he is one of the best when it comes to an action thriller like this. ๐—ก๐—ผ๐˜„ ๐—œ ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ ๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ... if Dhar can make a movie that looks this and that it is shot in real settings in just 280 Crore then why War 2 with a budget of 400 crore looks so artificial and lifeless. Same for Tiger 3 that had a budget of 300 Crore.
