If that were even remotely true, people would be lining up to migrate to Somalia, Afghanistan, Yemen, Sudan, or Iran—countries that actually practice Shariah law. Instead, those nations are known for extreme corruption and widespread poverty. So if Shariah is the magic solution, why isn’t it fixing their countries, and why are Muslim trying to impose it on the Western countries instead of improving their own? And which part of Shariah law gives “basic morality” to women who are treated like second-class citizens, not to mention the harsh penalties it imposes on people who are gay?
