She makes a very compelling case.

These multinationals cannot exploit Africa without the explicit cooperation of corrupt African governments. As the AES shows that exploitation is a choice. Africans have a choice and agency to fix their problems, if they want. ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฟโ€โ™‚๏ธ

After like 500 years, Africa should be the first to ban the European Corporate model as a fascist weapon of war.

Multinational corporations (MNCs) exploit the diversity in tax regulations and rates across different countries to minimize their tax liabilities. They achieve this by shifting profits to jurisdictions with lower tax rates, utilizing tax havens, engaging in transfer pricing practices, and taking advantage of loopholes in tax laws. This behavior often results in reduced tax revenue for countries where the economic activities actually take place and can lead to unfair competition with domestic businesses. Additionally, it can strain public finances and undermine efforts to achieve tax justice and economic equality. As a result, there have been increasing calls for international cooperation and reforms to address the issue of MNCs' excessive tax avoidance.

@ProfPLOLumumba @MbekiSchool True, the DR Congo is exploited by neo-colonialists, but who is responsible for congo children not in school? The DRC Government is the one responsible, but no one is telling them to take care of their children! @Julius_S_Malema

#Africans are interesting They know who & what cause their problems Instead of speaking to each other, they expect those who exploit them to change their ways Not going to happen If #Africa was united & regulated, would flights land in forests to exchange guns for valuables?

DR. ARIKANA: WE MUST SUPPORT BURKINA FASO, MALI & NIGER Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger arenโ€™t just reshaping West Africa but threatening the very foundations of Western dominance. Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao (H.E. Dr. Arikana Chihombori on IG / Ambassador Arikana Chihombori-Quao, MD on X), a former African Union Permanent Representative to the United States, made fiery remarks on 31 October 2024 at the University of Cape Town about the African revolution underway. Chihombori-Quao celebrated the growing movement against imperialism, starting with a 2020 people-backed coup dโ€™รฉtat in Mali, the first African country to expel French military forces in recent years. This revolution spread like wildfire to Burkina Faso and Niger, where people-backed coups in 2022 and 2023 also severed military ties with France. On 6 July 2024, the three states formed a confederation, the Alliance of Sahel States (AES). It shares a foreign policy, military force, plans for economic integration and the goal of forming a unified Pan-African federal state free from Western manipulation. The AES is also developing a currency to end reliance on Franceโ€™s CFA franc. The 14 French-speaking countries in Africa that use the CFA franc were required to place 50 per cent of their reserves in the French treasury in Paris, a neocolonial arrangement only partially loosened in 2019. However, France has de facto veto power at the two central banks that manage the respective CFA franc currencies for West Africa and Central Africa, and the currency is tied to the Euro at a rate historically determined by France. These factors grant France cheap access to raw materials from Africa while maintaining an overseas market for finished French goods. The AES can be described as a โ€˜liberated zone,โ€™ a term coined by Ghanaโ€™s first leader, Kwame Nkrumah (1909-72), to mean where โ€˜genuine independence was secured through [...] a positive action movement representing the majority of the population under the leadership of an anti-imperialist and well-organised mass party [and] a puppet regime was overthrown by a peopleโ€™s movement...' and a social revolution is underway. USAID IN AFRICA: 'WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING' Dr Arikana Chihombori-Quao, former African Union ambassador to the United States, lauded the dismantling of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), arguing it had attempted to interfere in Africaโ€™s progress. In a recent interview with journalist Steve Clemson (Steve Clemons on X) of the Al Jazeera TV network, the former ambassador (H.E. Dr. Arikana Chihombori on X) said that USAID's exit from Africa is a wake-up call for the continent. She argued that African leaders must look within to create self-reliance, reminding us of the impact of the Global North hoarding medical supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns, forcing Africa to fend for itself. The People's Vaccine Alliance reported that nearly 70 lower-income countries could only vaccinate 1 in 10, while rich countries comprising just 14 per cent of the world's population hoarded 53 per cent of available doses. Furthermore, Chihombori-Quao emphasised that USAID has little to show for its extensive investments in education and healthcare across Africa. She reiterated that the agency often contributed to instability while masquerading its actions under the pretexts of environmental protection, human rights or social justice. For example, USAID has been accused of indirectly funding Boko Haram, an extremist group in Nigeria. Boko Haram's long-running insurgency in northeastern Nigeria has destabilised that region, causing nearly 40,000 fatalities in Borno state between 2011 and 2023. Video credit: Al Jazeera PR
