Ever heard the expression โ€œshit rolls downhillโ€? Well we hit the bottom of the hill this week. Jobs were stacked way too tight on the schedule. Our operators were running 7 days a week, not finishing a job, and moving on to the next one with plans to return. Their hours were getting out of control too. Hitting 75 hours per week each. A surefire way to reach burnout. Theyโ€™d be rushed to get to the next job, set a task to return to the last one, and move all the equipment over to the new one. This meant cash flow came to a screeching halt while expenses shot to the moon. Returning to a job to finish means a minimum of $500 in costs just to bring the equipment there and back. An unnecessary expense had we just took the time to finish properly in the first place. Iโ€™ve been nose deep in marketing and sales while this was happening and trusted that the production process was working. It wasnโ€™t. They finally reached out and asked for help... at 8pm. We had 4 jobs set to start the next day and one of the trailers broke an axle. Rescheduling over 50 jobs is no easy task, and one they were all avoiding that created the problem in the first place. Itโ€™s difficult to tuck your tail between your legs and let a customer know their job needs to be pushed back up to 30 days. So I set into triage mode. Called each customer personally that was set to start the next day and let them know what was going on and what we needed to do. I then laid out every job on the schedule and set about not only fixing the current problem, but making sure it didnโ€™t happen in the future. I wiped the jobs off the rest of the week so the team could go finish the jobs we left open ended and finish them properly. I then cleared every job off Fridays and weekends. This prevents burnout, overtime, and gives us 3 days a week to absorb rainouts, equipment issues, and job delays. This pushed the schedule 2 months further out, so I had to do the part everyone dreaded. Alerting the customers of their new start date. I reached out individually to each one to let them know. Fortunately, our customers are incredible and were very understanding. Nobody cancelled their job. Our operators have room to breathe, our quality can stay top notch, our cash flow returns, and the bandaid is ripped off. Now letโ€™s get to work damnit!

I finally got some rest and had some time to think about everything, process it all and recover from this crazy experience. Two girls, two different events, almost at the same time, it was chaotic ngl ๐Ÿ˜ญ I saw them a few times and made so many new memories that whenever I think about them, I start shaking all over again. I got the chance to give Becky a gift for the first time, and she actually took it and touched it kmzzzz I will never forget the moment Becky came to us just to give us little photos of her. I was crying, a looot, and another friend started crying, then Becky saw us crying and she started crying too, she had to turn to the other side and leave oh my god it was so emotional. Like I started crying even more seeing Becky like that and then everyone was crying too ๐Ÿ˜ญ and it makes me so happy to see Becky feeling safe and comfortable with us. We didnโ€™t ask for autographs, instead we gave her our autographs shsjs ๐ŸŒš Seeing Freen after a year was very emotional. First we were there at like 5:30am. We had to prepare everything, place the banners, check the place and everything. Not to mention, it was cold and dark, and we were all very tired and sleepy. Then we had to run to Beckyโ€™s event location and wait for hours. After we saw Becky, we had to run to see Freen and omg that was chaotic and supeeeer stressful. Everyone was pushing me, I couldnโ€™t move, and the sun was literally killing my head. Then Freen showed up and guys she is sooo beautiful, even more beautiful in person. She looked happy and kept smiling. After the event, she walked in front of everyone. I remember I was shaking the whole time, aaand I got pregnant right there I sweaaar ๐Ÿ˜ญ Besides meeting Freen and Becky, my favorite moments were the ones I spent with my friends. It was hard and stressful, but we still had so much fun together, laughing, crying, eating, singing, drinkingโ€ฆ Everyone was so so sweet and I already miss you aaaall ๐Ÿฅน Now idk if I wanna do it again, I keep saying itโ€™s my last fashion week cuz itโ€™s too much for me and my body, but we will seeeee. Just please no more two events on the same day Iโ€™m begginggg 55555 A big thanks to everyone who helped us and made it possible for us to see and support both our girls! Until next time โค๏ธ #srchafreenโ€Œ #beckysangels

"On Thursday he called me to sit with his friends, something he usually wouldn't do. He told me how proud he was of me, that I was a fighter and that I was his pride. I didn't understand why he was telling me all this.โ€ Bar Asraf's sister Lihi shared a memory of her brother. This weekend, Bar took his own life at the grave of his girlfriend, Liron Barda z"l. Liron was murdered by Hamas at the Nova massacre on October 7th. Last Wednesday, Bar danced at his brother Maor's wedding. Family members say he was happy, sang, hugged everyone, and was moved by the celebration. On Saturday, the family had gathered at their home. "At noon, he wanted to go to the pool," recalled Lihi. "We said we didn't have a membership, so he said, 'Okay.' When we couldn't find him, we started searching on foot. We thought about where he might be, and we said we'd go to Liron's grave. At first, I didn't see him. Then I saw him lying there. I shouted, 'Bar, get up!'" "Only then did I understand what had happened. At first, I was even afraid that they had killed him. I didn't understand what I was seeing." Bar's family said he and Liron were soulmates. "Liron would come to us all the time, especially on Tuesdays when Mom would make couscous. When he was on a trip to Colombia, she even flew in to surprise him. They were soulmates." Lihi shared that after Liron's murder, "At first he didn't sleep for a week, didn't talk, didn't eat, and didn't laugh. Then slowly he began to recover." "He went back to laughing, talking to people, and spreading Liron's love. He would organize meals for soldiers in her memory, and on Passover he organized the distribution of packages to the needy. He was a person who was always helping others." Bar's mother shared: "Liron was everything to him. She was his best friend and his psychologist. It was important to him to tell her about everything he did. After she was murdered, he would come to the cemetery almost every day. I told him not to go all the time, but only when he really felt the need to go and talk to her, and he listened." "Two months ago he was sitting in the living room and crying. I asked him, 'What happened?' and he told me: 'Mom, it's hard for me without Liron. There's no one to replace her. I miss her.' He hugged me and cried a cry I'll never forget, loudly." "Bar was a boy who loved life. He had a huge heart. He cared so much for his siblings and supported them," Bar's mother said. "On Shabbat, a few hours before leaving the house, he sat with me, ate some of the cakes I made and said to me: 'Mom, only you can organize something like [the wedding celebration], and make sure that nothing is missing.' Then I told him I was going to rest. He told me, 'You deserve it' - and when I went to bed, he just left." Bar's mother said to everyone mourning him: "Remember Bar not because of his tragic end, but because of his huge heart.โ€

oh this will sting so much im not ready ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ #เน€เธชเธ™เนˆเธซเธฒเธงเธฒเน‚เธข *SPOILERS* :') . . . "wayo" "blew" "karel told me you wanted to see me" "yes. i wanted to see you once more. not as princess catherine... just as blew. i'm leaving for thailand" "i know. karel told me about the change in your plans. don't worryโ€”he'll handle everything" "so... this is really how our story ends, like a fairytale with no happy ending?" catherine looked into the eyes of the woman who spoke to her in such quiet, broken voiceโ€”full of so much unspoken emotion. and in those eyes, she saw the reflection of her own shaken soul. "i'm sorry, wayo" her voice, heavy with guilt and sorrow, fell softly. she lowered her gazeโ€”unable to look at the pain, the disappointment, the heartbreak in wayo's eyes. and part of her was afraidโ€”afraid that her own sorrow, equally deep, would be seen. that the one who loved her most might refuse to let their story end. but they couldn't go on. there was never a path for the two of them to walk together. even if it was brief, catherine would never forget the memories, the feelings that she had never experienced with anyone else before. even if the love couldn't be. even if they couldn't be. she would carry her love for wayo quietly, within the depths of her own heart... "from now on, i want you to live your life wellโ€”even without me. and i'll do the same. i'll live and fulfill my duties the best i can" "so you can really forget everything we had?" "no matter how long, i promise i'll never forget the story and memories of phatpha and wind" "is there any way... we can go back to being wind and phatpha?" "i can't be selfish and pursue my own happinessโ€”not when so many lives have been sacrificed. in madelin, i have so many duties i can't turn my back on. at the very least... think of it this wayโ€”when helena, the fake princess, left this world... i died in your heart, too. because phatpha is gone from wind's world... and will never return" at last, the truth wayo had dreaded came to pass. all the time she spent waiting, trying to delay the inevitable, had been in vain. she couldn't hold on to the heart she loved or the hand she once held. "you know... it feels like you just broke up with me, blew" "wayo..." "and this love... it hurts more than anything i've ever known. because i got my heart broken... without even being yours" catherine watched tears spill from wayo's reddened eyes, the pain too much to contain. her heart felt crushedโ€”shattered into fragments just as wayo's heart. if the pieces of their hearts were scattered by the wind across this garden, no one would ever know whose heartbreak hurt more. "i love you. this will be the last time i ever say itโ€”even if you never loved me back. goodbye forever, princess catherine" wayo bowed her head in respect to the noble princess catherine, her farewell words cutting deeper into the wounds of her heartโ€”so deep - it was almost unbearable. but life had to go on. just like now, as she forced her weakened legs to move forward, while the princess walked away, back to her rightful place. the distance between them stretched farther with each step until it was far beyond reach. just like their heartsโ€”never meant to walk side by side...

A text I received from someone staying in the house after returning home: "I can without doubt say that there are a few unicorns coming out of that house. What youโ€™ve done is unprecedented for our community, I always felt we were the underdogs, I can almost certainly say after this that we are now in the lead. I donโ€™t think there is any other community who is so supportive of each other, while being ambitious to try to build great things alhamdulilah." We all left with huge determination to build impactful solutions for humanity, to encourage ihsaan (perfection) and and to bring some of our learnings from the Bay Area to our respective countries to help build Muslim tech ecosystems across the world. I pray this trip helped plant some seeds ๐ŸŒฑ We'll be measuring the success of it by the progress we see in the years to come inshaAllah!

"Went To The Shelter Looking For One Senior Dog... But Two Empty Leashes Hanging Outside A Kennel Changed Everything. That was the first thing I noticed. Not the barking. Not the volunteers moving from kennel to kennel. Not the bulletin board covered with adoption photos and happy endings. It was the leashes. Two old leashes hanging side by side outside a kennel door. Both worn. Both faded. Both clearly used for years. Inside the kennel were two elderly dogs lying shoulder to shoulder on a single blanket. One was a large black Labrador with a graying muzzle and cloudy brown eyes. The other was a smaller Beagle mix whose head rested against the Lab's chest as if that was the safest place in the world. Neither dog came forward when I approached. Neither barked. Neither wagged. They simply watched. Quietly. Patiently. Almost as if they had learned not to expect much anymore. I hadn't planned on meeting them. In fact, I had come to the shelter with a very specific goal. Six years earlier, my wife had passed away after a long battle with cancer. Since then, life had become smaller. Quieter. My daughter lived across the country. My son called often, but he had his own family. Most days it was just me, an empty house, and too much silence. I didn't want a puppy. I didn't have the energy for chewed furniture or midnight potty breaks. I wanted an older dog. One that understood slow mornings and afternoon naps. A dog who, like me, had already lived through a few things. A volunteer named Jenna walked me through the shelter. We stopped at several kennels. A Shepherd mix. A senior Golden Retriever. An older Terrier. Then we reached the last row. Jenna's smile faded slightly. She looked toward the pair of dogs. "These two are Max and Charlie," she said softly. The Labrador lifted his head. The Beagle didn't. Instead, he pushed himself a little closer against Max. I noticed that immediately. Jenna noticed me noticing. Then she sighed. "They came here together." Something in her voice made me ask what happened. She glanced toward the dogs. Then told me their story. Their owner had been an elderly widower who lived alone on a small farm outside town. For nearly twelve years, Max and Charlie had been his constant companions. Neighbors said the three of them were inseparable. Every morning they walked the property together. Every evening they sat on the porch watching the sunset. Then one winter evening, the man suffered a fatal heart attack. Everything changed overnight. For nearly a week, the dogs remained on the property waiting for him. Neighbors brought food. They filled water bowls. But the dogs refused to leave the front porch. They slept beside the front door every night. Waiting. Watching. Hoping. When relatives finally arrived to settle the estate, they found both dogs exactly where they'd been left. Still waiting. Still looking toward the driveway. Still expecting their person to come home. The story hit me harder than I expected. Maybe because I understood waiting for someone who wasn't coming back. Maybe because grief looks similar no matter how many legs you walk on. Jenna continued. "The family couldn't keep them." I nodded. Unfortunately, I'd heard that part before. Then she added something else. "We tried separating them." The words came quietly. "Just once." I looked at the dogs. "What happened?" Jenna shook her head. "Charlie wouldn't eat." The Beagle remained motionless beside Max. "Max spent the entire day pacing and crying." The Labrador looked toward Charlie as if hearing his name. "After that, we promised we'd never separate them again." My chest tightened. Because I already knew the problem. Adopting one senior dog is hard enough for most people. Adopting two? Even harder. Especially older dogs with medical needs. Everyone had reasons. Reasonable reasons. Two dogs cost more. Two dogs required more space. Two dogs meant double the vet bills. Potential adopters would meet them, hear the story, feel sad... Then leave. Days became weeks. Weeks became months. The dogs remained together. Waiting once again. I stood there staring at them. Trying to be practical. Trying to remember my original plan. One dog. One bed. One food bowl. One companion. That had been the plan. Then something happened. Max slowly climbed to his feet. His hips were stiff with age. His movements were slow. But instead of walking toward me, he positioned himself directly in front of Charlie. Not aggressively. Protectively. The way an older brother might stand in front of someone smaller. The way family stands for family. A few moments later, Charlie finally lifted his head. His eyes looked tired. Not physically tired. Heart-tired. The kind of tired that comes from losing everything familiar. Jenna opened the kennel door. "You can sit with them if you'd like." So I did. I sat cross-legged on the floor. For a while, neither dog moved. The silence felt strangely important. Like nobody wanted to rush anything. Max approached first. He sniffed my shoe. Then my hand. Then settled a few feet away. Charlie stayed behind him. Watching. Waiting. Several long minutes passed. Then Charlie slowly stood. His legs trembled slightly. He took one step. Then another. Finally, he rested his head on my knee. That was all. No excitement. No dramatic moment. Just trust. A tiny, fragile offering of trust. And somehow that felt bigger than anything. I swallowed hard. Because suddenly I wasn't thinking about dog beds. Or food bowls. Or veterinary bills. I was thinking about my quiet house. The untouched guest room. The empty recliner by the fireplace. The mornings spent drinking coffee alone. For years I had convinced myself that my house was complete. Sitting there with those two old dogs, I realized the truth. It wasn't complete. It was lonely. I looked up at Jenna. "I guess I'm going to need two dog beds." She smiled immediately. Then started crying. Which made me laugh and cry at the same time. The drive home was quiet. Both dogs shared the back seat. Halfway home, I glanced in the mirror. Charlie was asleep. His head rested on Max's shoulder. Max remained awake. Watching the road. Watching me. Watching their future. When we arrived home, Max entered first. Of course he did. He inspected every room carefully. The kitchen. The hallway. The living room. The backyard. Charlie followed so closely behind that they almost looked connected. That evening, I filled two bowls. For the first time in a long while, both dogs ate every bite. Side by side. That night, I woke around 3 a.m. and walked into the living room. The moonlight streamed through the window. Max and Charlie were asleep together on their new beds. Except neither dog was actually using his own bed. They had pushed them together. Charlie was sleeping with his head draped over Max's paws. Max rested his chin on Charlie's back. For the first time since arriving at the shelter, they looked peaceful. Not worried. Not waiting. Not grieving. Just resting. I know I'll never replace the man they lost. Nobody could. Some bonds are too special for that. But maybe healing doesn't mean replacing what came before. Maybe it means carrying those memories into a new chapter. Max and Charlie didn't need a perfect home. They just needed to stay together. And somewhere along the way, two old dogs rescued something in me too. I thought I was bringing them home. The truth is, they brought life back into mine. Now the house isn't silent anymore. It's filled with the sound of paws on hardwood floors. Gentle snores during afternoon naps. And two old dogs who remind me every day that love doesn't end when someone leaves. Sometimes it simply finds a new place to live. And sometimes, if you're lucky, it comes with two leashes instead of one.

Beware of Collins: How a "Friend" Scammed Me and 9 Others I am writing this to warn everyone in the Web3, Monad, Solana, and Nigerianad communities. There is a person among us named Collins (known on X as Collins) who acts like a kind, active community member, but he is actually a professional scammer. He has stolen over $1,500 from me and has done the same to at least 9 other people. Collins used a very clever strategy to steal our money. He started by being very active in our local Nigerian Telegram groups. He called himself a "Solana Maxi" and always posted screenshots of big wins making people think he was making $5,000 or $7,000 from trading. We didn't know it was all a "format" just to get our attention. I did not trust him at first. However, we started organizing Lagos State meetups. When I met him in person, he was always smiling and happy. He acted like a brother. Seeing his face in real life made me lower my guard. If we had stayed just "online friends," I would never have sent him even $1, but because of those physical meetings, I thought he was real. His scam started when he told me about a "special developer" launching a token. He claimed he had an insider connection and that we could make 5x or 10x our money. He asked me to contribute $2,000. I told him I didn't have it. A few days later, he came back and begged me not to miss the "update." I decided to try with $1,000. To make me trust him completely, he played a long game. When I asked for a refund a week later because I had an emergency, he sent the $1,000 back immediately. This was his biggest trick. It made me believe he was 100% honest. Soon after, he showed me more fake wins on X and told me another project was going live on December 22nd. Because he returned my money the first time, I trusted him and sent the $1,000 back to him. When the date came, he claimed the "dev postponed the listing." While I was waiting for that money, he came with another "emergency" project, asking for another $1,000. I told him I only had $500 left my last card. He took that too. Then the excuses started. He claimed he went to the village to see his parents and that the network was bad. He said he couldn't access his Bybit account because he left his SIM card behind. He even begged me for another $100 in SOL just to help him out while he was "stuck." Because I thought my friend was in trouble, I sent it, bringing the total to $1,600. Every time I asked for my money, he told me "don't worry" and promised to pay once he left the village. But two days ago, the truth came out. I checked X and found out he has been doing this to everyone. He uses his friendly face and community status to prey on people. He is not a trader; he is a thief whose goal is to see the end of his friends' hard-earned money. Please, do not deal with Collins or his sister Trader Nenyenwa ๐Ÿ“Š๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ’Ž. He is a wolf in sheepโ€™s clothing. He will smile with you today and empty your wallet tomorrow. Don't let his "kindness" fool you like it fooled me. You Can't Vibe-Code Trust Avishai Abrahami, Co-Founder & CEO of Wix , interviewed by Harry Stebbings (kevin andres) Summary: Wix trades at a $2.8B market cap on $2.1B of revenue while the market ascribes roughly zero value to a business throwing off $400M a year in free cash flow. Wix CEO Avishai Abrahami's argument is that the market can't yet price what AI actually threatens: the moat is trust and business logic, and neither gets vibe-coded away. His response is to own the disruptor (Base44), train his own narrow models, and stay committed through a storm he insists always arrives on a random Wednesday. 1. Trust is the moat. The real value of Salesforce is trust: JP Morgan and huge banks let it hold all their customer data, and the CRM itself is a small part of that. "What other platform will JP Morgan trust for their customers' data? None." That trust took years to build and can't be reconstructed by an agent scraping a database, so the companies whose value lives in trust survive the SaaS apocalypse while the ones reduced to piping get commoditized. 2. The business-logic wall. "You're not going to vibe-code Shopify no matter how good you are. The business logic is too hard." Wix tested this directly: they asked a team of professional developers to build the operating logic for a single hairdresser in Base44, gave up after a week, brought in a stronger team, and still failed two weeks later. Complex operational software is far harder than a demo suggests, which is why the pizza shop and the hairdresser stay Wix customers rather than build their own stack. 3. Own the disruptor. Wix bought Base44, a one-person company, for $80M, and it now does over $150M in ARR, roughly double what they paid. Abrahami frames the future as three buckets: owners who never want to build, owners who vibe-code everything themselves, and a mix in the middle over the next five or six years. Rather than bet on which wins, Wix owns the tool customers would defect to, so a customer who switches platforms still switches to Wix. 4. Trading on someone else's news. "Today we are trading on other companies' news. We're not trading on Wix news. We're trading on what OpenAI or Anthropic or Google are saying." Base44 alone, valued on vibe-coding peer multiples, should be worth around $8B, which means the market assigns less than zero to Wix's core. Abrahami's response is to detach: he doesn't wake up checking whether the stock moved 20%, because the only thing he can influence is the business. 5. The narrow model. Wix fine-tuned and combined its own models and now matches top-tier frontier quality on Base44 tasks at far lower cost. The logic: they sit on a huge stream of training data from watching what users try and where they fail, so a model built for Base44 can skip what frontier models carry, like knowledge of Chinese poetry, and go deep on what someone means when they say "build me a task manager to tell my boyfriend where he's wrong." A narrow target is easier to hit than a frontier model, and Wix already runs a trained model on website generation that's faster, cheaper, and makes fewer errors, retrained weekly on a live feedback loop. 6. Quality before cost. When Harry cites Chamath's claim that open source runs 14-16x cheaper, Abrahami pushes back: that holds for small tasks, but for something as complex as Base44 the savings land at 5-10%, and his own model runs 1-30% cheaper than frontier, not the order of magnitude people assume. More to the point, this is the wrong time to chase cost: "20% more quality, 20% less cost, I'll go for the quality." It's a brand-new market that's just starting, and the job now is to make the product better. 7. The but is very big. "We all give too much credit for AI. It's amazing, it's incredible, it's super powerful, but the but is pretty big." He asked Claude to write a safety protocol and got six mandatory gates, then pushed back on each one and watched the model cave until only one survived, downgrading the rest from "must test" to "might want to look at later." We over-trust these systems, and that reflex, treating a Reddit post as equivalent to research published in Nature, is where the danger lives. 8. Customer support still breaks. Wix has 3,500 people and its single biggest department is customer support, serving 192 countries. They tried hard not to build their own AI support agent, tested many off-the-shelf products, and concluded flatly: "It doesn't work. We tried, we tried again, it didn't work." The gap between hyped AI support startups and what actually ships in production is the tell that the technology is earlier than the marketing, maybe five years from being different. 9. Buybacks as dividends. Wix had $1.5B sitting in the bank it couldn't put into a major acquisition because it was focused on the new product and Base44, so it bought back stock at a low price, with admittedly terrible short-term timing. Abrahami is unbothered: "The big question is where it's going to be in three years, not what happened in the last three months." He argues buybacks are a fantastic, underused tool, essentially a dividend to every shareholder, and companies should lean on them to balance stock-based compensation instead of endlessly diluting. 10. Execution, not finance. A low stock price makes M&A currency less valuable, but Abrahami says that's not his real constraint. Base44 was a one-person company; Wix had to build an entire company around it, staffing it with people pulled from the core. "I don't know how to do another one of those at the same time and have the same quality." The bottleneck on the next acquisition is execution capacity, not the balance sheet. 11. Chosen to be here. The one thing money buys beyond food security is freedom, and the deepest form of that freedom is knowing you're here by choice. "I'm here because I've chosen to be here. Nobody made me." He could move to Costa Rica or dance carnival in Brazil, and choosing to stay and run a public company through a crashing stock is where he finds his power. Money also made him more impatient and a bit lazier, and more rational because he's no longer deciding from fear. 12. The random Wednesday. Resilience starts with accepting the storm will come, because we assume that if yesterday was easy tomorrow will be too, and reality doesn't move in gentle slopes. "The worst thing that happens is probably some random thing on some random Wednesday. It's not something you get a lot of warning for." His anchor, borrowed from Babylon 5, is that you get there when you get there and the weapons you have are the weapons you have, so the only real question is whether you're doing the best you can with what you control.

The 49ers just finished their first 2-block practice with pads... ๐ŸˆPass game looked sharp โ€” until today. Perhaps some of the WR tumult hurt the operation. Ricky Pearsall is obviously done and the 49ers held De'Zhaun Stribling out Saturday for precautionary purposes ๐ŸˆCMC appears to be aging in reverse, possibly a testament to the distance he's getting from the 2024 Achilles tendinitis. He's had a ton of juice and ripped another long cutback run today ๐ŸˆLG will be a concern until it's not. So far in 1-on-1s, Brett Toth has seen more pass-protecting success than Connor Colby and Robert Jones, both of whom will need to improve there to allow the 49ers to breathe easier. But the 49ers prefer for Toth to be a backup center who isn't exposed to injury at the same time as Jake Brendel. Maybe he'll be a "break glass in case of emergency" option ๐ŸˆThe much-hyped new looks of Raheem Morris' defense are a real thing โ€” the 49ers have indeed expanded their repertoire both in terms of fronts and coverages. Their DBs made a lot of plays Saturday โ€” PBUs for Lenoir, Green, and Stout ๐ŸˆOn that note, Ji'Ayir Brown does seem to be winning favor as a Morris "guy". The DC specifically mentioned Brown today as he was rattling off names of supposed defensive pillars. Would be surprising if Brown isn't a Week 1 starter, IMO ๐ŸˆThe DE injury concern is real, if only for the 49ers to conduct a proper training camp that includes two joint practices with the Titans and Chargers. They need more bodies there now and they were interested in adding one more vet even before the latest hardships. Jadeveon Clowney and Kyle Van Noy are both still available. Joey Bosa also technically is, but it seems that (if he isn't retiring) he wants to take the Eric Kendricks route of chilling now and signing later. Keep an eye on 49ers' workouts and signings at DE to get through the current storm. Maybe they sign a placeholder or two now and a more recognizable name later? We will see ๐ŸˆDeebo Day was fun. Of note that the 49ers wanted him even before Pearsall went down. So they've added โ€” at the very, very least โ€” a return man like they did with Skyy Moore last year, but with way more offensive upside
