The Bridge Screamers call 911 screaming “HE’S GOT A GUN.” 🚚 ⏱ Within about 15 MINUTES I’m CUFFED AND STUFFED. 🚔 Every officer knows me by first and last name from years of activism across Maine. I ask multiple officers multiple times what I’m charged with and even offer to leave. NO ONE TELLS ME WHAT I’M BEING CHARGED WITH. I’m put in the back of the police car, and it isn’t until I’m already in the car that Sgt. Nutter tells me I’ll learn what I’m being charged with when we get to the station. When we arrive at the station, he walks inside, UNCUFFS ME, AND TELLS ME I’M FREE TO GO. At that point, I ask him for an apology. HE REFUSES. So I leave the station and RETURN TO THE BRIDGE. 🇺🇞 Their own officers confirmed I made ZERO THREATS.
