Seedance 2.0 on FlovaAI FlovaAI_Japan POV: The best football day of my life. Spain made history. Prompt: A cinematic first person lifestyle travel vlog following a cheerful young Japanese woman (@ image) on the exciting day of the FIFA World Cup Final between Spain and Argentina. The vlog begins early in the morning in her cozy apartment. She wakes up naturally as sunlight shines through the curtains, stretches, walks to the window, and smiles at the beautiful city outside. She starts her morning routine, washing her face, brushing her hair, and getting dressed in a stylish casual outfit. In the kitchen, she prepares breakfast by cracking eggs into a pan and cooking a fluffy omelet, then makes a simple sandwich with slices of bread, takes a few bites while smiling at the camera, drinks juice, grabs her small shoulder bag, phone, and match ticket, and excitedly leaves home. She boards a city bus heading toward the stadium. During the ride, she notices a famous American landmark outside the window (such as the Statue of Liberty if in New York or the Hollywood Sign if in Los Angeles, depending on the host city). She quickly takes a beautiful photo of it with her mobile phone, then turns to the young woman sitting beside her and happily shows the photo on the phone screen. The passenger smiles warmly, nods, and says it looks like a great shot, and they laugh together. The bus arrives near the massive FIFA World Cup Final stadium, where thousands of excited fans in colorful jerseys are walking toward the entrance. She joins the crowd, enters the stadium, finds her seat wearing a Spain scarf, waving a Spanish flag, cheering enthusiastically, singing with fellow supporters, and recording short selfie clips. The match reaches its thrilling climax as Spain scores a spectacular goal, sending the stadium into a deafening celebration. Moments later, the final whistle blows and Spain wins the FIFA World Cup Final. Fireworks explode above the stadium, golden confetti rains down, players celebrate with the trophy, and the crowd erupts with joy. She jumps up, laughing and cheering with tears of happiness, hugs nearby fans, waves her Spain flag proudly, records the unforgettable celebration on her phone, then turns the camera toward herself with a huge smile, waves goodbye, and says, "What an unforgettable day! Bye, see you in my next vlog!" before ending the video with joyful, cinematic travel-vlog energy. #flovacpp #Flovaai

//The Wire//2300Z April 10, 2026// //ROUTINE// //BLUF: PROTESTS IN IRELAND CONTINUE TO GROW. AMERICAN LOGISTICAL FLIGHTS CONTINUE INTO MIDDLE EAST DURING CEASEFIRE. MARITIME TRAFFIC IN PERSIAN GULF REMAINS STAGNANT.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Middle East: The ceasefire remains tenuous. Last night Kuwait reported attacks being conducted by several drones. Statements of condemnation were issued by government officials attributing the attacks to Iran, however the Iranians claim that they haven't conducted any attack. Separately, American logistical resupply efforts continue, with a notable increase in military flights moving cargo into the Middle East. Merchant traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remains severely restricted, with a total of 12x vessels (including local traffic) transiting the waterway since the ceasefire came into effect two days ago. This afternoon Kevin Hassett, the Director of the National Economic Council, indicated that the timeline for expecting the Strait of Hormuz to be fully opened is roughly two months. -HomeFront- Washington D.C. - Last night First Lady Melania Trump hosted a surprise press conference, in which she read a statement pertaining to the Jeffrey Epstein network. She confirmed that she had once emailed Ghislaine Maxwell, but denied that a relationship existed. She also called on Congress to act regarding the Epstein investigation, specifically via the testimony of victims against Epstein's network. California: Early this morning the residence of Sam Altman (the CEO of OpenAI) was targeted by an arsonist who threw a Molotov device at the front gate of his residence. The suspect initially fled on foot but was arrested soon after the incident. The suspect has not yet been identified. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: In Ireland, protests continue as before nationwide with most major roadways remaining shut down sporadically for a few hours each day due to protests. Whitegate Refinery remains a main focal point for protests which have become substantial in size. However, under the surface of the protests, tensions are bubbling and in Ireland no political issue is ever as simple as it seems at face value. One complicating factor which has contributed to the growing civil unrest has been statements made by Ireland's Deputy Police Commissioner Shawna Coxon, who has been the face of the police response to the demonstrations. Her statements themselves have been fairly standard by European standards, threatening all number of consequences for the protesters if they don't open up roadways. However, one delicate contention that isn't being conveyed by the media is not necessarily what is being said, but who is saying it. Coxon herself is not Irish...she's Canadian. Having built up a policing career in Toronto under Trudeau's government, she was instrumental in the now infamous crackdown on Canadian truckers years ago, who protested for different reasons but formed similar networks as the Irish are now forming. Now, she's the Deputy Police Commissioner for Operations in Ireland. Considering that a huge part of these protests is now becoming more of an Irish nationalism effort, what seems like a very small detail is actually becoming more important. A Canadian (who does not have an Irish accent) with a degree in mass surveillance wielding power over ethnic Irishmen is not being taken very well. As a result, what started as a small protest about taxes on agricultural diesel is becoming a much more widespread series of issues. Considering that as of this afternoon no progress has been made to address the concerns of demonstrators, this could lead to a much more substantial state of unrest over the next few days. I WENT TO THE GAME ALONE. ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟโšฝ๏ธ Hereโ€™s my experience: Because of my job, Iโ€™m lucky enough to be used to travelling by myself, so buying a single ticket and flying down to Miami didnโ€™t feel that daunting. But I was still cautious. The 02:45 alarm call on Saturday wasnโ€™t much fun and then I managed to miss the exit off the highway to the airport as I was singing โ€˜Itโ€™s Coming Homeโ€™ at the top of my voice in the car and had to rush to get through security to the gate! โ˜บ๏ธ I was surprised to have found a direct flight to Miami from Tulsa that got me in at 09:00, so it was an Uber to the Hyatt Place hotel at the airport who kindly let me have breakfast and get in a room at 11:00 to shower and get ready. Flawless. Thatโ€™s the word Iโ€™d use for the organisation of transportation and logistics in Miami. Just flawless. A $15 Uber ride took me to the Martin Luther King train station (one of 4 pick-up points) where lines and lines of yellow school buses stood, each taking 50 or so ticketed fans the 11 miles to the game. Of course England and Norway shirts dominated, but it really felt like a carnival of football with tops from various countries and clubs to be seen here and there. And, man, was it hot!! As we jumped off the bus, in front of us hydration stations had been set up. Complete with electrolyte powder to mix with the iced water from huge tanks. And did I sweat a lot in the next 8 hours! So having downed a few litres of water it was a half mile walk to the stadium. Police everywhere, roads closed, huge energy, fantastic atmosphere. (Lots of locals stood at the end of the driveway with huge signs trying to sell their drive as a parking space for the night. What entrepreneurs!) I didnโ€™t touch alcohol due to the heat - but the bars and food outlets were packed outside the stadium as a carnival atmosphere prevailed. Before heading to my seat I was able to meet a few Albion fans (Sam Harte, Ian Harte, Nick Blanco, Derek Chapman et al) which was brilliant. There we all were, 3500 miles from the AMEX! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿค Iโ€™d only bought a seat on Thursday and had a huge stoke of luck when I found it was bang in the middle of the England end. And what a fantastic group. Everyone introducing themselves to each other and sharing stories of the footballing summer so far. Passionate. Knowledgable. And just salt of the earth characters. As for the game? Well, the chanting was incessant, orchestrated by the England drummer and trumpeter how stood just a few rows behind me. We were together. We were united. And, call me old-fashioned, but it felt very healthy; it felt special. And I felt so lucky to be part of it. The game happened, youโ€™ve seen it, no need for me to linger on that. But at the end there was a lad who was just in tears of joy. Mustโ€™ve been in his early 20s and it was clear how much England meant to him. He just couldnโ€™t stop! It was pretty moving to witness. I manage to grab a couple of England jerseys on the way out (only XXXL left, but thatโ€™s what Mrs Bard asked for anyway as seems the fashion) and then it was a walk back to the buses in the oppressive heat and under the blinding floodlights of the walkways as random England chants erupted from various pockets of the 1000s of us walking from the stadium. The atmosphere was electric. It was a 90 min wait for a bus but the stewards did a great job and I was back in my hotel to watch the last few minutes of Argentina beating the Swiss in extra time. You know, Iโ€™m not a fan of FIFA, and despite football playing a huge part in my life, I was a little cynical about the World Cup in the build up. But as I left the stadium last night, the world felt a better place. Itโ€™s been an amazing tournament, but not because of the FIFA suits, but because of the fans. It occurred to me that, just for a while, because of football, division and politics has been replaced with humanity and wholesomeness. And thatโ€™s just what the world needs right now. โšฝ๏ธโค๏ธ

โ€ก The Pacific Classic Result It was unfortunate that Nysos was scratched, but the result was interesting, with Fierceness, the 1.6/1 second-favorite, comfortably handling Journalism, the (overbet) 2/5 choice. That the odds of the remaining five runners ranged between 22/1 and 72/1, underscored the yawning gap in quality between the top pair and the rest. So it was clearly no surprise that the "also-rans" toiled in their wake. What was surprising, at least at first glance, was how well Fierceness appeared to handle less than ideal conditions. But on closer inspection, his trip was actually far less challenging than the vast majority of post-race takes have suggested. His having ducked in soon after the start, almost making contact with the temporary extension rail, could have been a disaster, but it wasn't, and its importance has arguably been overblown. I say that because it was not similar to the trouble that he had encountered early in some of his previous races, in that he was in his own space, and was neither bumped, constricted, nor otherwise intimidated by other runners. This is an important distinction, because the mental weakness that he had previously displayed was related to close encounters with other horses, and his ducking-in after the break did not fall into that category. Inexperienced horses may suffer from that type of self-inflicted event, but given a mature, experienced runner, they are almost always forgotten quickly, which was clearly the case here. The fact that it was a long race also helped to mitigate the event, as there was no need for the rider to panic, or feel pressure to make up ground immediately. It is even possible that the early ground loss actually helped Fierceness, as had he been drawn closer to the pace early, it could have rendered him vulnerable in the late stages of the race. At the same time, due to the inside post, and how the race unfolded, Johnny Velasquez, who has done such a brilliant job keeping Fierceness outside and clear of his rivals in his previous wins, was forced to make the best of racing inside of horses. I understand why some are tempted to argue that Fierceness displayed a new dimension, as there were no obvious signs of him having been intimidated, despite the inside trip. But while I am willing to consider the possibility that he has gained confidence, I remain skeptical of any significant change, in part because it would be highly unusual for a horse to overcome that type of mental weakness midway through its four-year-old season, and/or in its 13th start. I also remain unconvinced for more subtle reasons. First, Fierceness was never bounced around, and with the possible exception of the first turn, he was never forced to race in especially tight quarters. Secondly, the rhythm of the race, after the initial duck-in, was actually smooth, and therefore beneficial to him. To understand why the above points are important, consider that Fierceness was never, so to speak, allergic to racing inside, but was more likely to face contact, be squeezed into a tight space, or have his rhythm thrown off when breaking from an inside post. In contrast, when breaking from an outside post, JV has invariably been able to place him clear of the pack, and in a comfortable, stalking rhythm. Fierceness is also essentially a free-runner, with a "light" mouth, and as such performs best when his rider allows him to dictate his own rhythm and pace. That is why, for example, Johnny V was not at all responsible for his loss in the Breeders' Cup Classic, as he is not the type of horse that a rider can take a strong hold of in order to restrain him further off of the pace, as that would discourage him. And to the great credit of both JV and Todd Pletcher, they picked up on this early on, and have done a superb job mitigating the colt's limitations, and maximizing his potential. In the Pacific Classic, despite racing on the inside, Johnny V remained cool and calm, and gave Fierceness another masterful ride. He and the colt's connections did benefit though, as none of his rivals, either intentionally or not, tightened things up significantly, or otherwise disrupted his rhythm. In fact, quite the opposite. Having tracked comfortably through much of the race, and with space around him, Fierceness displayed his trademark spurt on the final turn. And while the pan shot may suggest that he slipped though a tight opening, it was more like the red sea parting, as the embedded head-on view illustrates. If you are able to view the full head-on replay, you will find that despite racing inside, Fierceness actually enjoyed quite a comfortable trip, after the eventful few strides. A more subtle indication that we were watching the same horse as in his previous races comes :12-14 seconds into the embedded clip. When he was about to take the lead, he cocked his head to the right, as if he may have been worried about the horse outside of him. He was able to draw away from that one so quickly that it was ultimately of no practical consequence, but I would say that it implies that he hasn't suddenly developed the heart of a lion. *** Two qualities that have been crucial to Fierceness' success are his tactical speed, coupled with the separation that he produces on the final turn of his (two-turn) races. His ability to take command at that crucial stage has served him very well, particularly in his narrow win over Thorpedo Anna, and it was again on display in the Pacific Classic. A big part of the reason why that move has been such an important part of his arsenal is that it typically allows his him to take a "breather", before digging deep in an effort to fend off any late dangers. I encourage you to watch the (pan) replay of the Pacific Classic, and focus on Johnny V from around the 3/8th pole to the head of the stretch, as he was sitting like the proverbial statue. So for at least a furlong and a half, Fierceness was on cruise control, while Journalism, his only danger, was under pressure to make up ground, in an attempt to simply reach striking distance. But with all due credit to Fierceness and his rider for having produced fine efforts in the Pacific Classic, was this really an exceptionally outstanding performance, or was it at least partly a reflection of his only serious rival failing to run his best? I'm inclined to argue the latter. Despite Journalism having produced an unusually good 3yo campaign, capped by three Gr. I wins, including a Classic success in the Preakness, and never finishing worse than second, there have been some lingering questions. One of them is whether he is actually as well-suited to 10f. as he is to 8-9f. races. Yes, he was beaten in his two previous tries over 10f. by Sovereignty, a better horse. But in each race he was able to gain first-run on that one, an advantage that is typically difficult to overcome, yet lost ground late to the winner both times, and to Baeza as well, in the KY Derby. Some have suggested that he may have a tendency to loaf when in front, but I haven't seen any compelling evidence of that. And such horses typically dig in when passed, in efforts to re-engage, which we haven't seen, at least overtly, from Journalism. He also drew away from his rivals late in his first three wins. Alex Evers made this interesting comment about the kickback in the Pacific Classic: "I've photographed racing for 20 years, I've never seen kick back knock a jockeys goggles off like this." Here is a link to his supporting photos, which are typically excellent: Could that have discouraged Journalism? I suppose that it could have been an impediment, but he is such a tough and honest horse, that I would be surprised to learn that it was a meaningful factor. By contemporary standards, Journalism has also had a busy campaign, having raced a touch over once per month since March, all but one of which in Grade I events, and four times well away from his home base. So it is possible that he is beginning to feel the effects of those races, and travels. I have also noted that from a Beyer figure standpoint, he hasn't really moved forward, and it's worth noting that in contrast to Sovereignty and Baeza, both of which were late (May) foals, Journalism was a February foal, and may not have had quite as much room to improve. I don't know why he lagged so far behind in the early stages of the Pacific Classic, or if there was any tactical intention behind it. I had previously suggested that it might make sense to ride him more patiently, a tactic that is sometimes adopted when there are questions about a horse staying a trip. But I didn't notice any improved late kick, so it's difficult to interpret the performance. Fierceness earned a 107 Beyer figure for his victory, slower than his best three races last year, and merely equivalent to his comeback victory in the Gr. II Alysheba at Churchill Downs, in May. That doesn't suggest that it was a particularly outstanding performance. Journalism was given a 102, which implies that the return to his home court did not catalyze any notable forward move. *** I would say that there is one relevant pattern that has emerged, namely that Fierceness has an apparent affinity for the faster, high energy return track surfaces in California. He has now contested three races in CA (Beyer): 1st Breeders' Cup Juvenile (105) 2nd Breeders' Cup Classic (111) 1st Pacific Classic (107) It's also interesting to compare the colt's first and last half-mile fractions in his effort in last year's BCC, and the PC, both contested at Del Mar over 10f.: BCC โ€“ :45 1/5 โ€ข :51 3/5 PC โ€“ :46 1/5 โ€ข :50 2/5 Predictably, he finished better in the PC, thanks to more manageable early fractions. But would a repeat of that effort be nearly sufficient to win this year's Classic? Given the various points noted above, coupled with Sovereignty's continued improvement, and seemingly bottomless stamina, I would be inclined to say no. And that's before even factoring Sierra Leone, Mindframe, Forever Young, et al, into the conversation. But setting aside all of the fine parsing, I'm happy to congratulate Repole Stable, and Fierceness' other connections, for having shipped to California, and for being rewarded with an exciting, winning effort. Assuming that the colt makes it to the Breeders' Cup Classic in good order, he should minimally add spice to the race, and who knows, perhaps even provide a serious challenge to knock Sovereignty off of his current throne.

Ten Takeaways From 10/21/25 ONE) NBA on NBC Hello, friends. Welcome to the 2025-26 NBA season. Itโ€™s been a minute, hasnโ€™t it? A whole lot has changed since we last spoke. We were reintroduced to the NBA on NBC. Canโ€™t believe itโ€™s been almost 25 years, but here we are again. They absolutely crushed it after having some early audio difficulties. I get how clichรฉ it is, but I seriously got chills once โ€œRoundball Rockโ€ started playing. Thought Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter, and Tracy McGrady had contagious energy in the pre-game coverage. The graphics are clean and straightforward. Really like the team fouls tracking in the score bugโ€”just a very pleasant experience. Looking forward to the โ€œPrimeโ€ experience. God, canโ€™t believe it costs $650 to watch basketball now. We need to talk about the MJ segment, though. If youโ€™ve been living under a rock, NBC shocked the world and somehow convinced Michael Jordan to sign on as a โ€œspecial contributorโ€. โ€œInsights to Excellenceโ€ is sadly everything I thought it would beโ€ฆ nothing. He wasnโ€™t in the studio or anything. Looked like some pre-recorded interview with Mike Tirico from who knows when at his house, talking about why heโ€™s come out of hiding. The thing lasted about three and a half minutes. โ€œTo pay it forward. I had the obligation to basketball.โ€ - MJ on the decision to join NBC Okay Mike. Hoping for some actual insight in future recordings. TWO) Champs Are Here OKC received their rings and raised their banner before the game. Vibes were immaculate. Dillon Jones was even in attendance. Good thing the Wizards waived him just in time for him to make his flight. Rockets werenโ€™t having it, though. Ime Udoka said that they didnโ€™t watch the ceremony and were instead focused on trying to ruin their night. Kevin Durant came out for warmups to loud boos, and so he booed them back. Everyone laughed. Meanwhile, Steven Adams still gets loud cheers because, well, who doesnโ€™t love Steven Adams? It was a rough go-around for all Thunder not named Chet Holmgren (28 points, 11-17 FG) to start, especially SGA. He had just five points at the half on 40.0% shooting (2-5 FG), but you can only contain the league and Finals MVP for so long. He scored 24 of his 35 points in the 4th quarter and overtimes. Whatโ€™s up with the four missed free throws (10-14 FT)? "I'm glad the guys enjoyed the ceremony. That's a great, great life event they had." - Mark Daigneault "It was surreal. I don't know how to describe it besides that. Seeing the banner raised was cool too... I'll remember it for the rest of my life." - SGA on the pregame ceremony THREE) Thunder Starters One of the more critical questions going into Opening Night was, โ€œWhoโ€™s the 5th Thunder starter?โ€ as we wait for JDubโ€™s wrist to get right. SGA, Dort, Chet, and IHart felt obvious. Between Alex Caruso, Aaron Wiggins, and Cason Wallace, I leaned Cason mainly because of the bigger picture. Didnโ€™t make sense to start Alex after managing him all last year, but then he started in every preseason game he played. Had to give that some sort of credit (and we did). Well, they ended up doing what they did a lot last year: change it up midway. Wallace started, and then Caruso started the second halfโ€ฆ for Hartenstein. Here we go again. Casonโ€™s playmaking looks improved. Daigneault went 11 deep (!!!) in the first quarter. Rookie, Brooks Barnhizer was the fourth sub off the bench, played about two minutes, and was never seen again. Part of that reason is Ajay Mitchell, who checked in after him (for Shai). Thereโ€™s been some buzz, going back to his standout Summer League (19.8 ppg, 5.3 apg, 4.8 rpg, 1.5 spg). He scored 12 of his 16 points in the second quarter. โ€œNot surprised. He was playing like this before he got hurt last year.โ€ - Mark Daigneault on Ajay Mitchell FOUR) Jumbo Lineup Itโ€™s not much of a surprise to see Udoka start with the Steven Adams/Alperen Sengun pairing after how dominant they looked at the end of last season (+29.9 net rating, 162 minutes)โ€”especially given the matchup, with Holmgren and Hartenstein on the other side. The real shocker is how much they leaned into it. Alpi and Adams shared the court for over 30 minutes (+8). LIKE WTF?!!! This was Adams' first time touching 37 minutes since November 9, 2022. They did just sign him to a three-year extension. Youโ€™d think they might wanna be careful with their investment. The average height of this Rockets' starting lineup is 6'10 (Thompson, Durant, Smith, Sengun, Adams), LMAO FIVE) Alpi Dominance Continues Maybe what Sengun was doing at EuroBasket 2025 (21.6 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 6.6 apg, 1.0 spg, and 1.1 bpg) translates over? Not gonna lie, I certainly had my doubts, but noโ€ฆ heโ€™s looking just as dominant (I know, one game). Alperen Sengun vs Thunder: 39 PTS 11 REB 7 AST 2 STL 5-8 3P (career-high) 10-11 FT 27.7% USG Yeah, I see it too. Second time in his career, heโ€™s attempted eight threes. Dude averaged 1.2 attempts per game last year. The hitch in his shot appears to be gone, so hey, this could be real (doubt it). All I know is that if it is, itโ€™ll do wonders for his ceiling on sites that reward threes (DK). Also, going 10 of 11 from the line is something worth paying attention to. He was a 69.2% free-throw shooter last season. On the flip side, Amen Thompson (18 pts, 4 reb, 5 ast) had seven attempts from behind the arc and missed them all. Sucks, but his shot still looks flat. Thereโ€™s no lift. While weโ€™re here on Thompson, he had to leave the game late because of cramps. SIX) The Reed Conundrum Iโ€™ll give Reed Sheppard (9 pts, 4 ast, 37.9% TS, 28 min) this; heโ€™s a confident motherfucker, and I love that about him (in a cute way). Itโ€™s hilarious how many times he looked off KD in this game. Heโ€™s gonna have stretches where heโ€™s feeling it and looks automatic, but is it really gonna be worth it if his defense looks this dreadful? He canโ€™t stay in front of anyone. The Thunder hunted and won that matchup with ease all night. Amen getting cramped up in OT1 really salvaged his minutes, cause I didnโ€™t think he was gonna see the court again. Again, I know itโ€™s only one game, but a couple more performances like this and things could get ugly. SEVEN) KD Gets Away With One Or should that say gets away with none? Kevin Durant (23 points, 9 rebounds) made his Rockets debut, and thereโ€™re gonna be two things you take away from it. Whyโ€™d you trade for him again? He was pretty much non-existent when they needed him most down the stretch, with a 12.5 USG% in both OTโ€™s. There shouldnโ€™t have been a second overtime. KD was clearly seen calling for a timeout after a rebound with about a second left on the clock. The problem is, they didnโ€™t have anyโ€“He Webberโ€™d it. He should have been Tโ€™d up, giving the Thunder a free throw to potentially end the game. Zarba and his buddies even got together to talk it over once the buzzer sounded, but did nothing. Strange, but luckily, it didnโ€™t end up mattering much since OKC won in the second overtime. โ€œKevin definitely called timeout 3 timesโ€ฆ They just missed it.โ€ - SGA The Thunder beat the Rockets 125-124. EIGHT) Kuminga Starts Gallagher and I both felt pretty confident (sounds so stupid saying that with Kerr) that had Mosey Moody been available for this one, he would have been named the fifth starter, but his calfโ€™s still bothering him. Steve Kerr decided to start Jonathan Kuminga (17 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 33 minutes) instead, rewarding him for a strong preseason. There might be some more rewards coming because, whew, this is exactly what theyโ€™ve been wanting to see from him for the last couple of years, especially the boards. You wouldnโ€™t know it from looking at Lukaโ€™s box score, but JK did about as well as you could defending him; he made his threes (4-6 3PT) and consistently found the open man. Iโ€™m gonna go ahead and guess that he starts again against Denver on Thursday Let the showcasing begin. โ€œWhen you ask for opportunity, you must deliver. Heโ€™s been very vocal about his opportunity and he delivered.โ€ - Draymond Green on Jonathan Kuminga โ€œI just wanna help JK be greatโ€ฆ Weโ€™ve been kickin' it. Hanging out. Watching film and just working on our game together. I know how great he wants to be and how great he can be.โ€ - Jimmy Butler on mentoring Jonathan Kuminga NINE) Jimmy Being Jimmy One of the funnier moments of the night came post-game, when Jimmy Butler talked about a bet he made with Draymond Green. The wager is that heโ€™ll have a better free-throw percentage than Steph Curry this season. Deadass, hahaha. He admitted that itโ€™s probably a bad bet but I still love that he does this type of shit. Two years ago, he said he was playfully aiming to shoot 50.0% from three. He obviously didnโ€™t hit that mark, but he did shoot a career-best 41.4% that season. If youโ€™re wondering how the bet is looking to start after Game 1: Jimmy Butler: 16-16 FT (100.0%) Steph Curry: 8-8 FT (100.0%) Will keep you updated as the season goes. Jesus, 16 free throw attempts. โ€œNo chance.โ€ - Steph Curry when asked if Jimmy Butler has any shot at winning the bet Before weโ€™re done with GS, a shoutout to Will Richard (5 points, 14 minutes). We tease Kerr all the time about playing these randos, but this kid looks like he can actually play. TEN) All Luka and Austin The Lakers are gonna struggle hard while LeBronโ€™s out. They just donโ€™t have any other guys on the team that can create. Luka Doncic (43 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, 34.7% USG) and Austin Reaves (26 points, 9 assists, 30.1% USG) scored or assisted on 97 of the Lakers' 109 points. So wild. Marcus Smart (9 points) was the first sub off the bench. As for DeAndre Aytonโ€™s debut (10 points, 6 rebounds, 4 turnovers), letโ€™s just say it didnโ€™t take long for the Lakersโ€™ fan base to turn on him. Poor guy looked lost out there. "We just started. This is probably the second game we've played together." - Rui Hachimura on what the difference was for the Lakers "The trend I see is that we continue to be a terrible third-quarter team." - JJ Redick The Warriors beat the Lakers 119-109.

Full victory speech of The Green Party's Hannah Spencer who wins the Gorton and Denton by Election: 14,980 - Greens 10,578 - Reform UK 9,364 - Labour "Okay. with me because this is a lot" "I didn't grow up wanting to be a politician. I'm a plumber" "And two weeks ago, during all this, I also qualified as a plasterer" "Because even in chaos, even under pressure, I get things done" "I am no different to every single person here in this constituency. I work hard. That is what we do" "Except things have changed a lot over the last few decades. Because working hard used to get you something" "It got you a house, a nice life, holidays. It got you somewhere" "But now? Working hard? What does that get you?" "Because talk to anyone here and they will tell you, the people who work hard but can't put food on the table, can't get their kids school uniforms, can't put their heating on, can't live off the pension they worked hard to save for, can't even begin to dream about ever having a holiday, ever "Because life has changed" "Instead of working for a nice life, we're working to line the pockets of billionaires" "We are being bled dry" "And I don't think it's extreme or radical to think working hard should get you a nice life" "And I don't think that if you're not able to work that you should still have a nice life" "I think that absolutely everybody should get a nice life" "And clearly, I'm not the only person who thinks that" "Because I've made clear my position and my commitment to working class communities, the community that I am from" "People in their thousands told me on the doorsteps and at the ballot box, that what we are sick of is being let down and looked down on, that we are sick of our hard work making other people rich" "I lived in this constituency at one of the most difficult and challenging periods of my life" "I saw how strong the community was at holding things together" "But I saw how much harder life is when the things around you are broken, the litter, the fly-tipping, the dirty air" "And when I moved, it became even clearer. And this is why I am fighting for the community that I lived in and that I still work in" "Because I absolutely refuse to accept that we should ever have to move and leave our our communities for good schools, a thriving high street, and clean air. And I will not accept a society where having more money gets you a longer life expectancy" "And so when it came to fighting for people here, to stand in this election, well, how could I not fight? Because here, this is what we do" "We fight for each other in this very diverse constituency, where our struggles might not always be the same, but where we know how hard life can be and we stick together" "Whatever our beliefs, our backgrounds, our color, or our level of education, we stick up for each other" "And to those who voted for me, I know that earning your trust starts now" "One vote on one night is not something I will take for granted or assume will happen again" "I will earn your trust" "And to those who didn't vote for me, I will always work hard for you, and I will always be honest, and I will always be decent" "To our Muslim communities, who this week suffered an attempted attack during Ramadan, whilst I was being welcomed by women at a mosque in Longsight, someone just down the road walked into a mosque carrying an axe" "And whilst we were gathered and eating together, an act of terror could easily have taken place" "And I can't and won't accept this victory tonight without calling out the politicians and divisive figures who constantly scapegoat and blame our communities for all the problems in society" "My Muslim friends and neighbors are just like me, human" "And of course, to our White working class communities, the background that I have become so proud to be from" "We know how it feels to be looked down on, maybe because we didn't do well at school, maybe because we do dirty manual jobs, because we are shut out of places we should be in" "To people here in Gorton and Denton, who feel left behind and isolated, I see you and I will fight for you" "Because whilst our communities may sometimes be labeled in different ways, the thing everyone seems to have underestimated here, especially over the last few weeks, is how similar we all actually are. How we have common ground, how we get along, how we stand up for each other" "The cracks that were starting to show can be healed, and I believe that it is through offering people hope and a chance to do things differently and do things better" "Now to my customers, I'm sorry, but I think I might have to cancel the work that you have booked in, because I'm heading to Parliament" "And when I get there, I will make space for everyone doing jobs like mine. We will finally get a seat at the table" "And to Layla, the little girl who had the pleasure of meeting and holding this week, I promised you I would try and improve the world that you are growing up in. I told you that I am not perfect, but that I always try my best" "I always try and do the right thing" "Now something exciting is definitely happening and I invite you all to be part of it" "Come and join the Green Party so that we can spread hope and win everywhere across the country" "Our strength will grow as more and more of us come together. We have shown that we don't have to accept being turned against each other" "We can demand better without hating each other. We can do that together" "We ran a hopeful campaign backed by thousands of volunteers and activists" "We defeated the parties of billionaire donors" "We have shown that we don't have to accept being turned against each other at all, and we did this with the people who live here side by side, shoulder to shoulder, just as we have always done in this constituency and in the whole of Greater Manchester. Because this is is Manchester and we do things differently here" "Thank you so, so much to everybody" "Thank you"

"Anyone who leaked a [UFO] report...could be prosecuted under the Espionage Act...life in prison, or death." "Maybe we can reverse engineer this so we will have this incredible edge over the rest of the world." ๐Ÿ”ฅ Dr. Phil Had Me at The Bolender Memo ๐Ÿ”ฅ (Dr. Phil continued to kill it yesterday and this was better than the last one! Link to full video (21:52) is in the replies.) "Our government has been lying to us for more than 80 years. Ask yourself why? Why do they not want you to know this is going on?" (He starts out by showing that Google searches for "UFO" have allegedly nearly tripled since last Friday night, along with searches for UAP being up 400%. And "Dr. Phil UFO" is one of the fastest rising searches in the country. If all of that is true, it's a very good thing. Especially since he's been putting out some really good videos. He mentions the latest release (#4) of UFO/UAP files from the Pentagon last Friday.) "My team and I were granted early access, exclusive access to those documents before they went public." "Our government has been lying to us, by omission AND by intentional misdirection, for 79 years." "Look at these documents. You go back as far as 1947 where they have had clear information that there are objects not of this Earth, both technologically, metallurgically, performance-wise. But yet, that has been hidden from us. They've denied that, they've actually threatened people from talking about this. Threatened with careers, imprisonment, and some, with death, because they would consider it treason." (He backs it up with documents. See below.) Dr. Phil: "For 80 years, every time there was a legitimate UAP sighting and the U.S. government had a chance to get in there, they essentially told us, 'Nothing to see here. Move along.' To be clear, a UAP sighting is not proof of little green men or alien life. It means something happened, something was observed, something occurred for which we have no explanation. That's it. "Now, let's talk about that for a second. Things happen, and we don't have any explanation for it. We don't have technology that explains that. There's something that is observed in the sky, going at a speed, stopping, making a sharp turn, reversing direction, accelerating, changing altitudes, and we don't have anything on this Earth that can do that. That's what's called unexplained. "Now, do we know where it's from? How it does that? Well, if we did, it would be explained. But we don't. We go look at all of our secret weapons. We go look at what we know through intelligence, other countries have. And let me tell you, a lot of these (laughs) - they're not close calls. They are not close calls. And some of the things that have been observed, we damn sure didn't have anything like that in the 40s or the 50s or the 60s, and we still don't, now in 2020s. "But at the very same time, our government was telling us, 'Nothing to see here: weather balloon, reflection off of an airplane, just a weather anomaly.' And, the government was simultaneously threatening its own people with criminal penalties if they ever disclosed UAP information. "If somebody that was credible, that had seen this, spoke about it, they were threatened with all kinds of penalties. We were gaslighted. 'No big deal here. Probably weather balloons, misidentified aircraft.' And a jumpy public that watched, 'Close Encounters' one too many times, thinking, 'Look, what's really going on here?' "Behind the curtain, the government was spending generations of time and resources protecting this information. Was it happening? Yes, it was happening! Do we have proof of it happening? Yes, we have proof of it happening. And what I mean by that is we have this on radar. We have credible, military pilots reporting it. "We have aircraft that have guns, and when you open a gun and go live on a fighter, there's a camera that activates, so you have video of what the gun is shooting at. You have gun cameras. If they see one of these things in front of them, they open their weapons, in case they need them, and so it shoots video of what they're seeing. "Now let's talk about some of the proof. JANAP 146 - Joint Army, Navy, Air Force publication 146 - made it a criminal offense for military personnel and commercial airline pilots to discuss UFO sightings outside official channels. The penalty, 'up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.' "So, you might see some guy down on a lake, drinking beer, that talks about something he saw over the lake. Yeah, they don't mind that guy talking. But credible people? Trained observers with instrumentation? No. They say something, they're going to prison. "Well, that took effect upon receipt. No hearings, no debate. The regulation says, 'All persons aware of the contents or existence...are governed by...espionage laws.' So not just the pilot who filed a report under JANAP 146, anyone who leaked a report. Radio operators, airline staff, anyone in the chain could be prosecuted under the Espionage Act. "You can see this yourself. Declassified copies are online today, including on the NSA's website. Now what is the Espionage Act? That's the same law used to prosecute spies. Section 793: Up to 10 years in federal prison for every violation. Section 794: If the information reaches a foreign power, life in prison, or death. "Imagine you're a TWA captain in 1955. You see something over the Pacific you just simply can't explain. You file your report like the regulation requires. And from that moment, talk to a newspaper, tell your own wife, puts you in the same legal category as a spy. "Ask yourself why. Why are they so interested in muzzling all this conversation? Why do they not want you to know this is going on? Why are you not entitled to know what's happening in the air around you? "Now, let's fast forward 20 years, 1971. Oliver Harry Turner was an Australian nuclear scientist and intelligence officer, head of the nuclear branch of Australia's Joint Intelligence Organization. He was asked to assess the American response to the growing UAP issue. "If you're thinking, what does an Australian know about U.S. military secrets? Well, the possibility of life beyond this planet is bigger than any one country. Australia and the rest of the world has a legitimate interest in what the U.S. knows. And Australia is one of our closest intelligence allies. What we now call Five Eyes. "The Five Eyes countries are the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. These countries have shared their most sensitive intelligence with each other since World War II. When a senior, Five Eyes nuclear intelligence officer writes a report about what the United States knows, well, that's serious. "He was outside the American classification system. He had no career to lose. He pieced this together from official CIA, Air Force, Congressional, and Project Blue Book records. Now this report was written May 27, 1971. Original classification: Secret. Title: Scientific and Intelligence Aspects of the UFO Problem. Report declassified by the National Archives of Australia in 2023. "On June 9th of 2026, whistleblower David Crusch (Yes, he said Crusch) stood on Capitol Hill and told the public to read pages seven through sixteen." ~ David Grusch: "There is a declassified 1971 Australian, formally-classified, Secret assessment that a couple years ago was put in the Australian National Archives. I encourage people to read page seven through sixteen, and that was the nuclear branch chief of the Australian government discussing the U.S. cover-up and the involvement of the CIA back in the 70s. And that's actually a little-known document that is publicly available." ~ Dr. Phil: "Now here's the kicker: foreign intelligence describing an American cover-up is now referenced in the files that our government is just now releasing. And here are six key findings in the Turner report. "Number one, what Turner called the facade of ridicule. Turner documents that early Air Force intelligence concluded, 'Some of these objects, 'had flight characteristics' that could best be explained as having 'extraterrestrial origin.' (The actual language says: "The early analysis of UFO reports by USAF intelligence indicated that real phenomena were being reported which had flight characteristics so far in advance of U.S. aircraft that only as extra-terrestrial origin could be envisaged." ) Dr. Phil: "Instead of telling the public, the CIA and Air Force adopted a deliberate debunking policy. "Now let that sit with you for a minute. Instead of telling the public, the CIA and Air Force adopted a deliberate debunking policy. We've got to get these people believing this isn't real. We've got to debunk this. "January 1953, Turner's own words: 'By erecting a facade of ridicule, the U.S. hoped to allay public alarm, reduce the possibility of the Soviet taking advantage of UFO mass sightings...and act as a cover-up so the U.S. can develop vehicles that emulate UFO performances.' "What's the point? Well, the point is, they were thinking, 'All right, let's keep this secret,' like we're the only ones seeing this, 'and maybe we can reverse engineer this so we will have this incredible edge over the rest of the world.' "That's a great goal, I guess, if you can go from flying-prop planes or early jets to this incredible speed. If these are extraterrestrial, and the nearest galaxy is Andromeda, which it takes two and a half million years to get to, flying at the speed of light, we're pretty far from being able to do that. "Today, in 2026, can we move at the speed of light? No. If we could, it would take two and a half million years to get to the next galaxy. We can't move at the speed of light, even now in 2026. But that was the goal. They'll find one of these and reverse engineer it." (I don't know whether or not any black program has tech that can move at the speed of light and I doubt Dr. Phil knows, either. Someone should show him what Lacatski said about being able to reverse engineer some of this acquired (alleged non-human) tech but "not to its full extent.") Dr. Phil: "Finding number two. He then talks about Project Sign. This was the U.S. Air Force's first official UFO investigation set up in late 1947. Its analysts reportedly concluded that extraterrestrial origin was the best explanation. Air Force Chief of Staff General Hoyt Vandenberg rejected that conclusion, and copies of the report were ordered destroyed. Destroyed! "And per Turner, in February 1949, members of Project Sign, 'either volunteered to leave or were compelled to leave,' and they were replaced by people, 'willing to ridicule the concept of UFOs.' "Think about this! We have sightings by legitimate observers with scientific instrumentation, and the people who are doing the observing are voluntarily leaving or compelled to leave, and replaced by people willing to ridicule the concept of UFOs. "Finding number three, what I spoke about earlier: JANAP 146. Up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine for discussing sightings outside official channels. And per the regulation's own text, Chapter One, Section 102, it covered not just military personnel, but U.S. and Canadian civilian and commercial pilots. "That's legal force over airline pilots, arguably the most credible witnesses in the sky! What jurisdiction they had over Canadian pilots, I have no idea, but they listed 'em. "Turner documents a meeting between military intelligence and airline pilots at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. At that meeting, pilots were, 'coerced' to keep their sightings out of public view and inside official channels. Am I overstating it to say that there's been a cover-up, that we're being lied to? "Finding number four. But they missed the retirees. JANAP 146 only covered active service. Once you retired, you could talk. And three very senior men did so between 1953 and 1960. Admiral Roscoe Hillenkoetter, the first director of the CIA, Captain Edward Ruppelt, the man the Air Force put in charge of investigating UFOs, Major Dewey Fournet, the Pentagon's project officer on UFOs. Per Turner, all three publicly stated the U.S. government knew UFOs were extraterrestrial and was withholding the fact from the public! So when those three retired, they told the truth! "Finding five. The government then silenced retirees. Per Turner, the revised regulation JANAP 146e made UAP disclosure by retirees an offense under the Espionage Act. Then finding number six. 1969, 17 years, the Air Force ran a public-facing UFO investigation called Project Blue Book. If you wrote your congressman about a sighting, it went into the Blue Book. And in 1969, the Air Force shut down the Blue Book and told the country, 'We looked at more than 12,000 sightings. No problems. No national security threat. No need for the Blue Book.' "But a memo from General Carroll Bolender, the Air Force general, said the reason Blue Book showed no national security threats was because any national security threats were gag ordered under JANAP 146 and were quote, 'not part of the Blue Book system.' The serious reports never stopped; they just moved out of public view. "Now, I know that was a lot of information. You may need to listen back to that, but those are facts. Those are in the government's documents that have now been declassified! "If the government has known for decades that unidentified objects are flying through our skies, and therefore, we may not be alone in the Universe, then the greatest revelation in American history has also been the target of a huge cover-up. "One of the challenges of social media and TV news is taking something this complex and reducing it to sound bites. And you're getting bits and pieces from the media. That's why I invest so much time and energy giving you the real story. I don't want to tell you what you believe or don't believe, but I want to give you the information so you can make up your own mind. "This information is in the files, we just haven't had access to the files. And then when we get the files, we're given the files without any context. You see a radar screen and you see a blip, and then it moves. Well, what do you have to compare it to? Is it moving fast? Too fast? Unexplainably fast? Without any context, how are we supposed to interpret that? "Well, I'm digging in, I'm talking to experts, I'm finding out what the scale is. And what we're learning, is we don't have anything that'll move that fast. We don't have anything that'll turn that sharp. We don't have anything that will withstand those kind of G-forces."

Vayne takes you on a hunt. you don't know why. she doesn't take anyone. she says stay behind me. don't speak unless i speak first. don't make a sound when we move. you say yes. she looks at you for a second longer than usual. "if i tell you to run, you run. you don't look back for me. are we clear" you say yes. she doesn't answer. she just turns and walks out the door. you follow her through the city streets. she moves different when she's working. shoulders lower. steps shorter. her head doesn't turn but her eyes do. you can feel her cataloguing everything. the man smoking outside the tavern. the cat under the cart. the second floor window with the curtain half drawn. she leads you through an alley you didn't know existed. stops at a brick wall. then she climbs. there are handholds carved into the mortar that you wouldn't have noticed if she hadn't used them first. she's halfway up before she realizes you're still at the bottom. she looks down at you. "up" you climb. your hands are shaking by the time you reach the top. the roof is flat. old clay tiles along the edges. a low wall you can crouch behind. the city stretches out below you in every direction. a thousand windows glowing gold in the dusk. she's already at the far side. crouched. crossbow unslung. watching a building across the square. she doesn't look at you when you come up beside her. "stay low" you crouch. "that building. third floor. second window from the left" you look. "i see it" he'll come to that window sometime tonight. i've watched him do it for three nights. i want to know who he meets you ask who he is. her jaw tightens. "a demon pretending to be a man" you don't ask what that means. you settle in beside her. the wind is up here. it pulls at her hair and she doesn't bother fixing it. the sun is going down behind her. her profile in the gold light looks like something carved. her hands on the crossbow are steady. completely still. you've never seen anyone be this still. an hour passes. she doesn't move. you try not to move. your leg falls asleep. you shift an inch. she looks at you. you go completely still again. she looks back at the window. another hour. the sun is gone. the city is blue and black. lamps are lighting up one by one. the air is getting cold. you're shivering before you realize you're shivering. she notices. she doesn't say anything. then she takes off her cloak. doesn't look at you. holds it out to the side. "take it" you say "you'll be cold" "i don't get cold. take it" you take it. it's warm from her. it smells like leather and steel and something underneath. pine. smoke. something you can't name. you put it around your shoulders. the hem pools on the tile. it's huge on you. it's not huge on her. you hadn't realized how tall she is until you were wearing her cloak. she doesn't look at you for the next ten minutes. the stars come out. she shifts closer to you. just a little. so her shoulder is almost touching yours. you don't say anything about it. she doesn't either. you can feel the heat coming off her even through the cloak. another hour. still nothing at the window. she says "tell me something" you blink. "what" "anything. i need to stay sharp. talking keeps me sharp. not about the target. something else" you didn't expect that. you tell her about a book you've been reading. she listens. actually listens. her eyes never leave the window but you can tell she's hearing every word. she asks one question. you answer. she goes quiet again. you keep talking. quieter now. she interrupts you. "shh" she's not looking at the window anymore. she's looking at the roof two buildings over. you don't see anything. you don't see anything for a long time. then you do. a shadow that moves the wrong way. her hand finds yours. she doesn't look at you when she does it. her eyes don't leave the shadow. her fingers lace through yours and LOCK. tight. too tight. knuckles going white around your hand. "don't move" she breathes. you don't move. you can feel every ounce of her focus through her grip. it's not a lover's hold. it's a predator's. every muscle in her hand coiled. ready to drop yours the instant she needs the crossbow. she's not holding you for you. she's holding you to keep track of where you are without having to look. it should scare you. it doesn't. there is something about being held that tight by someone that dangerous that makes the rest of the world go quiet. your heartbeat slows. your breathing slows. the cold stops mattering. you are not the one hunting but you are with the one who is. and nothing is going to get through her to reach you. the shadow crosses the roof and disappears into a stairwell. she watches the spot it left for another full minute. her hand is still locked around yours. she doesn't loosen it. you don't want her to. finally she lets out a breath you didn't know she was holding. "not him. but someone who works for him" her grip eases. slowly. finger by finger. like she's having to consciously tell each one to let go. the last one is her thumb. it stays against your palm for half a second longer than the rest. then she takes her hand back. the cold rushes in where she was. she glances at you. just for a second. then she looks back at the window. the rest of the night she's quieter than before. the target never shows. when the sky starts turning grey she stands up. stretches. rolls her shoulders. looks out over the city one last time. "we're done" you stand too. your legs don't work right. she catches your elbow without looking. "careful" she keeps her hand there until you're steady. then she takes it away. you start to hand her cloak back. she says "keep it for the climb down" she goes first. you follow. the handholds are easier going down once you know where they are. when you're both on the ground she turns to take the cloak. you hand it to her. her fingers brush yours. she doesn't pull back as fast as she usually does. she puts the cloak back on. it's warm now. from you. she has to notice. she doesn't say anything about it. she walks you home. at your door she stops. "don't tell anyone what you saw tonight" you say "i didn't see much" she looks at you. her eyes in the lamplight. the edge of her mouth. almost softer than it should be. "you saw enough" then she turns and walks back into the dark. you close the door. your hand still feels cold where hers was. you can still smell pine on your shirt. you don't sleep. You can see hundreds of photos of Torres del Paine before you go and still be surprised by how much of the park has nothing to do with the famous towers. There are turquoise lakes, glaciers, waterfalls, open grasslands and lenga forests. Guanacos graze near the road. Condors ride the wind above the mountains. Depending on the hour, the Paine Massif can fill the horizon or disappear almost completely behind clouds. The three granite towers are the image everyone knows, but theyโ€™re only one part of the place. Torres del Paine National Park sits in southern Chile, where the Andes meet the Patagonian steppe. The park covers more than 227,000 hectares and has been part of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 1978. Glaciers carved much of what you see today, and ice still runs through the story of the landscape. People were moving through this part of Patagonia long before hikers started arriving with trekking poles and backpacks. The Aรณnikenk, often called Tehuelche, traveled through the region for thousands of years. Ranching came much later, and large estancias eventually spread across land that now belongs to the park. Sheep, horses and ranch workers were here before refugios and marked trails. The national park was created in 1959 and expanded in the decades that followed. You can still see bits of the ranching past in old buildings, fences and horses along the road. Most trips begin in Puerto Natales. Iโ€™d stay there the night before heading into the park rather than treating it as somewhere to sleep between a flight and a bus. The town sits on the water with mountains in the distance, and itโ€™s a good place to have dinner, buy anything you forgot and check your gear one last time. Patagonian lamb shows up on plenty of menus, along with seafood from southern Chile. The drive north is where the trip really starts. Buildings become less frequent. The road cuts through broad stretches of grassland. Guanacos begin appearing in the fields, sometimes close enough to the road that traffic slows down for them. Then, eventually, the mountains show up in the distance. That first view is worth paying attention to. Wildlife is easier to see here than I expected. Guanacos are common. Rheas move through the open country. Foxes live in the park, and condors can sometimes be spotted circling high above the valleys. Pumas are here too, though seeing one usually takes luck, patience or a guide who knows where to look. A lot of people come specifically for the W Trek. The route connects several of the parkโ€™s best-known areas, including Base Torres, French Valley and Grey Glacier, and most hikers take about four or five days to complete it. If you like multi-day hiking, itโ€™s an obvious way to see a large part of the park without spending your days getting in and out of a vehicle. The Base Torres hike can also be done on its own. Itโ€™s a long day. The trail climbs through the Ascencio Valley, passes through forest and ends with a steep section over rocks before you reach the glacial lake beneath the towers. On a clear day, the view at the top is exactly the one that probably made you want to come here. Of course, Patagonia may have other plans. You can leave under blue skies and arrive with the towers hidden behind cloud. An hour later they might be visible again. Weather changes quickly enough that thereโ€™s not much point obsessing over a forecast days in advance. Layers matter. So does a waterproof jacket. The wind is harder to appreciate until you experience it. Patagonia is famous for it, but โ€œwindyโ€ doesnโ€™t really describe those moments when a gust hits hard enough to make you adjust your footing on the trail. Youโ€™ll also notice trees that have spent their lives growing in one direction. The good news is that you donโ€™t need to hike the W, or even spend every day on a long trail, to see Torres del Paine well. A lot of the park is accessible by road and shorter walks. Salto Grande is an easy stop. Water rushes through a narrow channel between Lake Nordenskjรถld and Lake Pehoรฉ, and from there you can continue toward viewpoints of the Cuernos del Paine. The Cuernos look very different from the towers. Their dark upper sections sit above lighter granite walls, and from some angles theyโ€™re the mountains Iโ€™d rather photograph. Lake Pehoรฉ is close by and deserves time of its own. On the right day, the water turns an almost unreasonable shade of blue-green. The mountains rise behind it, and there are places along the road where youโ€™ll probably pull over even though you hadnโ€™t planned to stop. Grey Glacier is on the western side of the park. It flows down from the Southern Patagonian Ice Field into Grey Lake. Once you see it, the broad valleys and glacial lakes youโ€™ve been passing start to make more sense. Ice shaped much of this place, and here you can still watch part of that story unfolding. There are hiking routes toward viewpoints of the glacier, and boat trips cross Grey Lake for a closer look. Depending on conditions, pieces of ice float in the water between the boat and the glacier. That part of the park feels different from the open country farther east. This is something Iโ€™d pay attention to throughout the trip. Torres del Paine changes surprisingly quickly as you move around it. The eastern side opens into Patagonian steppe. Forest becomes more common near the mountains. One lake can be deep blue, another turquoise, another gray beneath the clouds. Rivers run through valleys that seem almost empty. An hour in the car can take you through several versions of Patagonia. Thatโ€™s why three full days would be my minimum even if you arenโ€™t doing the W Trek. Four is better if the schedule allows. You could spend a day on the Base Torres hike, another around Grey Lake and the western side of the park, and another around Lake Pehoรฉ, Salto Grande and shorter walks. The extra time gives you room to change plans when the weather turns. Where you stay makes a noticeable difference. Puerto Natales has more restaurants, hotels and services, and staying there can keep costs down. The downside is spending more time each day getting to and from the park. Staying inside or near Torres del Paine costs more, but you wake up much closer to the trails and viewpoints. If I could split the trip, Iโ€™d spend the first or last night in Puerto Natales and the rest closer to the park. Anyone hiking overnight should sort out refugios or campsites well in advance during the busy season. Itโ€™s also worth checking current trail conditions and park rules shortly before arriving, because Patagonia has a way of making plans made six months earlier feel provisional. For most first-time visitors, the warmer months are the easiest time to come. Late spring through early fall in the Southern Hemisphere brings longer daylight and better odds for hiking, although it also brings more people. โ€œSummerโ€ is still a relative term down here. Pack the rain jacket. By the end of a few days, the famous towers may not even be the thing you remember most clearly. It might be a line of guanacos moving across a hillside. The sound of the wind against the car. A glacier appearing across a lake. An empty stretch of road with the Paine Massif slowly getting larger in front of you. Those moments are harder to plan, which is probably why they stick. Come for Base Torres if thatโ€™s what first caught your attention. See Grey Glacier. Stop at Lake Pehoรฉ. Hike as much as your legs and the weather allow. But donโ€™t spend the whole trip racing from one famous view to the next. Some of my favorite stretches would probably be the drives between them: old ranch country, open steppe, guanacos scattered across the hills and mountains that keep appearing and disappearing as the clouds move through. Youโ€™ll take plenty of pictures in Torres del Paine. Every once in a while, leave the camera in the bag. If you like traveling this way....understanding the history, landscape and people that shaped a place....thatโ€™s what I write about in the Timeless Traveler. Travel with a little more soul.

Dear LA, The industry is not coming back. In the entertainment capital of the world - โ€œHollywoodโ€ - there are fewer television shows and movies being produced today than when Governor Newsom was arresting people for going to the beach. The downstream carnage is piling up across our city, and we arenโ€™t going to shame or strike or tax our way out of it. Drive down Sunset Blvd and youโ€™ll see countless โ€œJay Luchs - For Leaseโ€ signs draped like flowers at a funeral. Ask your friends working in retail, restaurants, or real estate just how bad things are, and youโ€™ll be reminded that every business in our city flows downstream of the entertainment industry, the sword that LA lives by, and dies by. Rick Caruso, native Angeleno, creator of the Grove, & former mayoral candidate, has recently begun pleading to โ€œbring Hollywood back,โ€ ironically via TikTok, in order to protect all of the adjacent โ€œbelow the lineโ€ businesses. It is the right end goal but the wrong strategy. But what can Mr Caruso do to bring Hollywood back? Ask the unions to ease up? They run this town, even when they cut off their nose to spite their face. Ask Sacramento to give up their fruitless addiction to over-taxation & regulation? It would be easier to convince Count Dracula to give up blood. Ask consumers to change their tastes and abandon TikTok? Heโ€™d certainly have my blessing, but that ship has sailed. We can build our way out of LAโ€™s cost-of-housing problem, as Caruso has rightfully pointed out, but more housing alone wonโ€™t be enough to save Los Angeles, any more than it would have been able to save Detroit after their own respective monopoly [automobiles] crumbled. Beyond rebrands & gimmicks & political rhetoric, the time has come for a complete product refresh, starting with a reimagining of how LA entertains the world. My idea is simple: pivot Los Angeles from the capital of production to the global capital of LIVE entertainment, events, & hospitality. Almost everyone needed in production, and every business downstream of production, has a year-round parallel role to offer in the AI-proof world of LIVE events. Actors can continue to delight audiences, but with a greater emphasis on in-person performances. Production services can become event logistics providers. And for everyone else it will be an all-hands-on-deck effort to ideate & create the new California dream. Outside of the highly protected walls of Disneyland, a few gated communities in Brentwood, and the smoothie bar at Erewhon weโ€™ve earned a bad reputation. The tourist consensus is that LA is dirty, dangerous, & disappointing. New travelers come to LA as a bucket list item, most vowing to never return, which never seemed to bother anyone, perhaps because previously we just didnโ€™t need their business. We need to become the city that people want to date, not take out for a one-night-stand. And that starts by no longer acting like the prom-queen who peaked in high school. We need to collectively clean up & reorganize our entire city from LAX-itโ€™s uber-lot-from-hell all the way to the open air drug markets surrounding our hotels. And Iโ€™m sorry if this hurts Mayor Bassโ€™ feelings, but our inability to manage our addiction & mental health crisis should not be the burden of our guests. The easiest place to start is Hollywood, my home of 18 years. 10,000,000 people travel annually to the Hollywood Walk of Fame despite its dubious honor as โ€œthe worst tourist trap in the world.โ€ Imagine a walk-of-fame permanently closed to car traffic, protected by security, with an open-carry-beverage farmerโ€™s market, minus the pushy hustlers, that takes over the asphalt, leaving the stars for guided experiences. Why-oh-why do we expect travelers to care about stars from 50 years ago when we refuse to make any effort to give them minimal context? I see an LA that can take the same movie magic that made it the best marketed city on earth, and use it to deliver a travel experience that warrants a 2nd, 3rd & 4th helping. The Olympics & World Cup both present once-in-a-generation opportunities for Los Angeles to reintroduce itself on a global stage. But these tentpole events should be considered the grand re-opening of LA, not the grand finale. Every celebrity on earth should already be living here, assuming they havenโ€™t fled for their familyโ€™s own well being after we seemingly abandoned law & order sometime around 2020, so it is easy to imagine around the clock creator driven events led by Gen-Z stars from Mr Beast to Alix Earle, galvanizing their fan bases alongside our own versions of Graceland for names like Cruise, Hepburn, & Kobe. This plan offers a little bit of something for everyone, even our wealth-gap obsessed activist class, as hospitality outcomes are flatter and more egalitarian, something our Hollywood elite at least claim they want. The biggest challenge to making Los Angeles the LIVE entertainment capital of the world will be getting our political leaders to stop sabotaging us with endless red tape, excuses, and kleptocracy. Rampant political corruption has been enabled by LAโ€™s toothless media who, aside from Elex Michaelson & Bill Melugin - both formerly of FoxLA, have been unable to hold our politicians accountable. Reality TV star turned Influencer turned mayoral candidate (as of yesterday) Spencer Pratt has been effective in keeping the media from completely ignoring the victims of the Palisades fire, but LA still considers my former employers - KTLA & the LA TIMES- to be the watchdogs of record. Without mainstream media support I fear our new media warriors wonโ€™t be enough to prevent leaders like Gavin Newsom & Karen Bass from continuing to pillage California with a trail of failed programs, despite bottomless budgets, that make Minnesotaโ€™s recently unearthed $18 billion fraud scheme seem like, forgive my pun, kiddie stakes. Can someone please light the Bat-Signal for Nick Shirley? Gotham *cough cough* I mean LA needs him. Some might remember in the last mayor's race when Karen Bass said that if we elected Rick Caruso โ€œheโ€™d just turn LA into The Grove!โ€ I believe the Groveโ€™ification of LA is exactly what we need to successfully pivot as a city, and it would ultimately mean cheaper housing, better jobs for everyone, and happier repeat travelers. So to echo Elex Michaelson, who aptly quipped back at Bass, โ€œwhatโ€™s wrong with that?โ€ But why hasnโ€™t Caruso declared himself in the next mayorโ€™s race? Maybe itโ€™s because he has his sights set on a California gubernatorial run or maybe he just doesnโ€™t want to risk another disheartening defeat. Not even his inner circle knows what heโ€™ll do next. But I do know one thingโ€ฆ Many of the most successful people in the world call California home and we are going to need them if Los Angeles is ever going to make its comeback.

The โ€œI never wanted any of this to be public or contentโ€ Lie, A Timeline I never wanted any of this to come out. Except I actually mean that. Itโ€™s embarrassing, itโ€™s trashy, and itโ€™s the opposite of how I want to present myself publicly. I stayed silent for months while lie after lie was spun about me behind the scenes because I didnโ€™t want to air private, messy moments from a relationship I genuinely cared about. I stayed silent out of fear, because I was told no one would believe me because he would be blindly believed on his large platform. In one of our very last conversations before I blocked him everywhere mid-October, he threatened to do a show on me, contact my employer, and โ€œturn me into the next Lindseyโ€. Why? Because I didnโ€™t want to continue apologizing to him for the 300th time about venting to someone I thought was a friend. I stayed silent because of these threats. But after Wednesday, after Chelsea posted the private video Aidan gave her, (the same one he threatened me with directly back on 10/2), and after the gaslighting, I donโ€™t have a choice anymore. So here is the timeline. Here are the receipts. Here is what actually happened. September-October 2025- I Stayed Silent Through Months of Smear Campaigns For months, several creators repeated the same false narrative that โ€œAidan never said a bad word about Meredith.โ€ Jess. Glarer. Auntie Deb. Kim. Ray from Dallas. Others. Meanwhile, Aidan was: โ€ข Badmouthing me privately and encouraging others to do so publicly, โ€ข Texting Joe โ€œFlipperheadโ€ entire paragraphs trashing me, โ€ข Aidan knew Joe would leak them (and even bragged on a stream that he did exactly that so heโ€™d leak them), โ€ข Sending Jess Machado after me for months on her large platform, โ€ข Directing people behind the scenes to paint me as a villain. โ€ข Sending random people who supported me DMs to change their mind (yes Aidan, not everyone is fooled by your bullshit and they came right to me). I ignored all of it. I said nothing. I stayed silent through daily lies because I didnโ€™t want to call more attention to it or face Aidanโ€™s wrath. November 2025 -The Rumors About โ€œMarch 4โ€ and Joe Flipperhead Flips to Team Aidan Aidan texted Joe his entire made-up version weeks ago. Joe circulated those texts on purpose. Joe threatened me with posting a video montage of mine and Aidanโ€™s private texts. Joe is a pussy so he eventually had Kristy post it for him. Creators discussed it publicly without me ever responding. I STILL didnโ€™t defend myself. November 26-27, 2025- Ratchet Chelsea: The Full 48 Hour Meltdown 11/26/25โ€” The Unprovoked Attack & The March 4 Video On Tuesday night, Chelsea came out of nowhere and launched herself straight at me, accusing me of all kinds of conspiracies from harassment to the horrific crime of sending a friend request, which is explained in vivid detail in the below post (sheโ€™s since gone somewhat viral, love this for her!) She spent the next 24 hours thoroughly embarrassing herself and the moment anyone challenged her story even slightly, she did what she always does: she imploded. Her accusations spiraled into her posting the March 4 video. On 11/26/25 at 11:08 PM, Chelsea posted the first clipโ€“a blanket, context-less snippet of me drunk saying something I immediately apologized for the next morning. At 11:50 PM, I responded because at that point, I had no choice. 11/27/25โ€” The 9-Minute Backpedal Then on Thanksgiving, Aidan tried to save face by posting that he โ€œdidnโ€™t want the video to be public.โ€ And like clockwork, nine minutes later, Chelsea came charging into the comments like a Temu-sponsored bat out of hell, scrambling to apologize, trying to rewrite reality so it looked like he didnโ€™t send her to do it. It was panicked, sloppy damage control. An amateur quality cover-up attempt that only made it more obvious how coordinated this all was. She wasnโ€™t apologizing because she grew a conscience. She was apologizing because she got caught doing exactly what sheโ€™d been primed to do. I wonder if Aidan called her โ€œyou shouldโ€™ve waited at least 20 minutes, dumbass!!!โ€. Not too bright that Chelsea. I can only imagine the regrets he must have for utilizing someone with the IQ of a pencil to do his dirty work. The Coordination Between Aidan & Chelsea Is Obvious Chelsea had virtually NO followers Wednesday morning. Aidan was one of the first. Weโ€™re supposed to believe someone with 150k followers just stumbled on an account that starts posting HIS private messages and HIS private videos? Kk. Aidan commented on her posts that same day, clearly encouraging it, continuing to this day, all while pretending he's not directing it. Kk. She confirmed in my DMs back on 11/6 that she and Aidan were aligned. And she literally wrote at 4:04 AM that she had โ€œproof,โ€ videos & screenshots she would release if I didnโ€™t โ€œstop callingโ€ her, calls she still hasnโ€™t produced a single shred of proof of. Then yesterday within 9 minutes of his post, she writes: โ€œSorry for going rogue, Aidan, I hope you donโ€™t hate my guts.โ€ Going rogue? From WHAT? Who gave you the material in the first place? The coordination is obvious to anyone with functioning brain cells. The โ€œI never wanted this publicโ€ lie Aidanโ€™s post yesterday claimed he โ€œnever wanted this to be public.โ€ Heโ€™s been threatening me for months behind the scenes to post the infamous video. To do a show on me. To send things to others to weaponize against me. If this were true, why did he instruct Chelsea to post it? Why did he share it with Jess Machado to threaten me with for the last month? Why did he share it with Joe Flipperhead, and God knows who else? If he didnโ€™t want it public, he wouldnโ€™t have shared it with anyone, let alone the girl I caught him cheating with. The timeline is clearโ€“ Chelsea posted a video at 11:08 pm on Thanksgiving Eve, I responded at 11:50 out of self defense. He leaked first. He escalated first. He weaponized it first. Trying to rewrite that now is gaslighting, pure and simple. The โ€œMeredith accused him of abuseโ€ narrative is FALSE My actions tell the truth: โ€ข I never went to police. โ€ข I never filed anything. โ€ข I never told anyone he hit me. โ€ข I never repeated it. โ€ข I apologized the next day. โ€ข We stayed together for FOUR more months after that night. โ€ข He called me 100+ times some days, even indicating heโ€™d end his life if we broke up. If he believed I was โ€œdangerous,โ€ his actions would have said that. They didnโ€™t. The only reason this is public now is because HE leaked it. Actions > drunk slurred words said because a camera was shoved in my face when I asked him repeatedly to stop filming and to leave. The Wilbur Theatre Rumorsโ€”Letโ€™s get petty for a second. This is another topic Iโ€™m cringing at discussing but we can thank Aidan for since he shared our sexual messages with Joe Flipperhead. And since some people (Auntie Deb, sweetie, this means you) insist on pushing their Dollar Store fan-fiction about the Wilbur Theatre night, letโ€™s actually walk through what happened, using facts instead of whatever drug-induced hallucinations youโ€™ve been spinning this week. The rumor goes like this- I was โ€œmad at Aidan because we didnโ€™t hook up,โ€ and to โ€œproveโ€ it, they trot out a cherry-picked text where I said I wanted to hook up, he didnโ€™t answer, and the next morning I said I was drunk and sorry. And somehow this has been spun into me being desperate, obsessed, or pining like a background character in a teenage soap opera. Adorable. Wrong, but adorable. Hereโ€™s the real plot twist-Aidan and I had already been together literally two days earlier, and shocker-that was initiated by him, not me. I didnโ€™t just โ€œshow up at the Wilburโ€. He invited me to come to the after party at Encore knowing I had a wedding earlier in the night. I wanted to see my friends there who I actually met to go with. This wasnโ€™t a surprise, it was planned ahead of time. The โ€œI was drunk, sorryโ€ message wasnโ€™t heartbreak. It wasnโ€™t longing. It was me politely tapping the brakes because I didnโ€™t even want to entertain whatever bad path it could lead us back down. And then? He texted me asking about my brotherโ€™s wedding, how I am, etc. I ignored him for a full week. Until I had no choice but to speak to him about MereNeill. That silence, from me, is what triggered his latest meltdown. Not mine. His. So no, Auntie Deb, your version isnโ€™t โ€œa different perspective.โ€ Itโ€™s just wrong. Like wildly, hilariously, not-even-in-the-ballpark wrong. But sure, keep spinning fanfic if it makes your livestreams feel more exciting. I realize itโ€™s probably been awhile since youโ€™ve had any action since youโ€™ve let yourself go so badly, so you live vicariously through others. Recap For MONTHS I ignored: โ€ข the texts he sent Joe to leak โ€ข the smear campaign โ€ข the creators parroting lies โ€ข the behind-the-scenes messages โ€ข the insinuations I hacked him and even shared revenge porn โ€ข the constant coordinated attacks โ€ข the threats of โ€œturning me into the next Lindseyโ€ โ€ข his warning that everyone would believe him because of his platform โ€ข the threats to contact my employer I didnโ€™t clap back, didnโ€™t retaliate, didnโ€™t respond. But Wednesday, when Chelsea dumped the video he gave her, the same video she threatened weeks ago to drop, AND he posted pretending he didnโ€™t want this all out? That was the line. They chose the nuclear option. And last night's gaslighting grift was just the icing on the cake. Now Iโ€™m responding with facts in pure self-defense. Conclusion/Message for Temu Storm This entire mess could have stayed private. I wanted it to stay private. But when someone leaks your private moments, lies about your intentions, weaponizes your past, and coordinates an online attack, you either let the false narrative stand or you defend yourself. Iโ€™m choosing to defend myself with receipts, not gossip. With timelines, not โ€œhe said.โ€ With evidence, not weaponized drunk clips. And then thereโ€™s Aidanโ€™s favorite delusion. The claim that I was โ€˜working with Karen behind the scenesโ€™ or โ€˜conspiring with her to get him in trouble for the recording.โ€™ That could not be further from the truth. I didnโ€™t even know he had recorded her until after she already knew about it herself. I wasnโ€™t working with her, plotting with her, or communicating with her about it. She and I have always been friendly, but we didnโ€™t even discuss the recording until it started leaking and Joe Flipperhead went feral on Twitter. Meanwhile, Aidan spent weeks screaming at me, accusing me of being some kind of secret double agent, like he was trying to create the betrayal he was terrified of. Almost a self-fulfilling prophecy. And hereโ€™s the reality: in the last few weeks, after heโ€™s gone fully scorched earth on me, I have talked to her, and I support her 100%. The things heโ€™s done to her over the past couple years, and the way he twisted it all for his followers, is the exact same manipulation I lived through. Iโ€™m not going into her details because thatโ€™s her story to tellโ€ฆ but letโ€™s just say I have a feeling youโ€™ll be hearing it sooner rather than later. The lie that Aidan never wanted this to be public is just laughable at this point. Who are we kidding? He's been foaming at the mouth for months to make this content where he can play the victim, as usual. And since this week has apparently become โ€œLetโ€™s All Fixate on Meredith Week,โ€ let me address the content-creator sideshow, too. Some of you are strangers, while some I actually considered my friends. Itโ€™s shocking but not shocking how quickly you all flip a switch and follow your captainโ€™s orders. Ray from Dallas spent his Sunday foaming at the mouth in a hostile little video about me, all bark, no substance. I saw it. Iโ€™m not intimidated. Mostly, Iโ€™m embarrassed for you. Then thereโ€™s Will, whoโ€™s gone on multiple streams calling me โ€œcrazyโ€ and pretending heโ€™s scared of me, despite me being nothing but nice to him. Why? Because he thinks I was the first one to tell Karen he heard the recording, which he absolutely did (unless Aidan is lying about who he played it for, but we know heโ€™s actually telling the truth on this for once). She was informed of it the very next day, which is why she called you and you know this. This was two full days before I was even aware of a call at all. Will, for someone with your track record, maybe sit the โ€œwomen are dangerousโ€ narrative out. Youโ€™re not fooling anyone. Iโ€™m staring at 15 pages of police reports and no, itโ€™s not all โ€œthings youโ€™ve owned up for in the pastโ€. You know this. Again, Iโ€™d take a very large seat here. And my personal favorite-Auntie Deb, who decided to spice up his Spaces on Thanksgiving by accusing me of distributing revenge p*rn with zero evidence, zero screenshots, zero anything. Accusing me of killing a turtle yesterday. A completely fabricated felony tossed around like itโ€™s gossip hour at the bingo hall. Considering your own professional history, James, Iโ€™d hope you of all people would understand how catastrophic false accusations can be, but apparently not. I wonder if youโ€™ll have that same enthusiasm when the topic is you. TBD. Iโ€™ll wait for that retraction about revenge p*rn, animal abuse, etc. Ballโ€™s in your court hun. And of course, thereโ€™s Jessica Machado, whoโ€™s been grinding this axe for months like itโ€™s her full-time personality. Hos long did you cry when Chelsea beat you to the punch with that video? Donโ€™t worry hun, thereโ€™s more but she didnโ€™t post it because itโ€™s not great for your fairytale. Since you reported my last post, I'll leave the rest up for your imagination. Youโ€™ve been so obsessed with me for so long that you canโ€™t even keep your own narratives straight anymore. I love this so much for you. Let me be crystal clearโ€“I am done being all of your punching bag. You love to spin this narrative that Iโ€™m this dangerous person. Youโ€™d think youโ€™d lay off from constantly f*cking with me if you truly believed that. I would genuinely love for this nonsense to stop. But that requires ALL of you to stop manufacturing drama, stop lying, and stop weaponizing made-up crimes for clicks. And if they want to keep going? Iโ€™ve got plenty of content for many seasons to come.

After seeing a scone recipe posted for Memorial Day, Iโ€™ve got a few things to say. And frankly, they wonโ€™t be particularly polite. Iโ€™m immensely proud to call both the United Kingdom and the United States home. I grew up with traditions from both countries, still split my time between them to this day, and my own children are being raised with that same dual identity. I understand the humour, customs, etiquette, history and cultural differences on both sides of the Atlantic probably better than most people. Which is exactly why this sort of performative nonsense winds up me so much. Because one thing that absolutely doesnโ€™t translate is turning Memorial Day into some twee Instagram aesthetic involving scones, jam and curated โ€œholiday weekendโ€ content. To my fellow Britons, and to others outside the United States who may not fully understand the distinction, Memorial Day isnโ€™t the American equivalent of a bank holiday garden party. Nor is it interchangeable with Veterans Day. Veterans Day in November honours all who have served in the United States military. Memorial Day is entirely different. Memorial Day is for the dead. It exists to honour the men and women who never came home. Just like Rememberance Day. Itโ€™s a day rooted in grief, remembrance and sacrifice. That distinction matters. Because of that, my company does not operate on Memorial Day or on Remembrance Day in Britain. Thatโ€™s always been a hard rule for me and it always will be. The day before, we make one simple memorial post expressing gratitude, remembrance and respect for those who gave their lives. We also explain that weโ€™ll be turning off sales on our website and stepping away from social media entirely for 24 hours. No promotional posts. No sales pitches. No โ€œholiday weekend specialsโ€. The socials go silent because some things deserve dignity rather than being turned into marketing opportunities. Freedom is not free. And reducing remembrance to a sales opportunity has always struck me as profoundly tacky. Which brings me to the scones. Seeing an American woman posting a scone recipe for Memorial Day genuinely made my skin crawl a bit. Not because scones themselves are offensive, obviously, but because the whole thing felt painfully artificial and culturally manufactured. Scones are not associated with Memorial Day in the United States. At all. The average American family gathering for Memorial Day is far more likely to involve a barbecue, burgers, hot dogs or a cookout than cream tea. The eternal British debate over whether the jam or cream goes first isnโ€™t exactly dominating conversation in American cities. And letโ€™s be honest here. Scones arenโ€™t inherently American in the first place. Theyโ€™re deeply associated with British culture. Tea culture. Country houses. Cream teas. The sort of thing people in Cornwall and Devon still somehow manage to argue about with complete sincerity. Like pineapple on pizza. So when a certain someone, who spent less than two years in the United Kingdom before fleeing back to California at warp speed, suddenly starts presenting herself as the patron saint of jam and scones for an American Memorial Day audience, it comes across as painfully contrived. And somehow even more absurd when the recipe itself was shared in grams and Celsius. I use both systems myself because I live between both countries, so I understood it perfectly well. But the overwhelming majority of Americans bake in teaspoons, tablespoons, cups and Fahrenheit. Marketing a very British-coded scone recipe in European measurements for an exclusively American audience on an American military holiday is such a bizarrely specific level of inauthentic branding that it almost feels like parody. What made it even stranger was the timing of the whole thing. The day before, the Prince of Wales was on a national radio programme being asked, as Duke of Cornwall, how he takes his scones. He said he takes them the same way Queen Elizabeth II did. Then the very next day, up pops an entire promotional post centred around scones, complete with a recipe for Memorial Day. What a coincidence. You could almost admire the opportunism if it werenโ€™t so embarrassingly obvious. Because thatโ€™s what this increasingly feels like. Not authenticity. Not cultural appreciation. Branding. Very calculated branding. And very confused branding at that. This is a woman who publicly distanced herself from Britain, criticised the Royal Family, the institution, the press, the culture and the people. She then almost immediately pivoted into selling tea, spreads, biscuits and aggressively British coded lifestyle products. All of it is framed under a title she and her children only possess because of the very institution she claims damaged her. You cannot spend years positioning yourself as oppressed by Britain while simultaneously using British aristocratic styling via a royal peerage to market candles and preserves to Americans on Instagram. At some point the contradiction just becomes ridiculous. Even stranger is the fact this pantry line is only available in the United States while borrowing almost entirely from British imagery and British culinary aesthetics. Tea. Biscuits. Jam. Scones. And now Memorial Day apparently. Which again makes absolutely no cultural sense whatsoever. Memorial Day isnโ€™t a whimsical lifestyle mood board of hers. Itโ€™s not a backdrop for curated brunch content. Itโ€™s not an excuse to cosplay English tea culture because your brand identity remains fundamentally incoherent. And yes, I feel exactly the same way about all companies running โ€œCelebrate Memorial Day with 20% off!โ€ mattress sales, car dealership blowouts or whatever. The language itself is grotesque. I will not โ€œcelebrateโ€ the deaths of American servicemen and women. Iโ€™ll honour them. Iโ€™ll remember them. Thereโ€™s a difference and it matters. As President Ronald Regan once said โ€œThe American flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it.โ€ The names of those who died serving their country should not be reduced to discount codes, influencer engagement bait or twee social media recipes designed to sell fruit spread. But perhaps thatโ€™s the real issue underneath all of this. Nothing ever feels sincere. Every cultural reference, aesthetic choice, every carefully staged lifestyle moment feels reverse engineered for branding purposes rather than rooted in any genuine identity. Which is why the whole thing lands with such a thud. As someone who genuinely loves both Britain and America, I find it exhausting watching someone who barely spent five minutes in the UK attempt to monetise a fantasy version of Britishness whenever it becomes commercially useful. Particularly when itโ€™s attached to a day that is supposed to be about remembering the fallen. Itโ€™s tasteless. Itโ€™s opportunistic. And itโ€™s entirely on brand for her and her business.

The โ€œI never wanted any of this to be public or contentโ€ Myth I never wanted any of this to come out. But after Wednesday, after Chelsea posted the private video Aidan gave her, (the same one he threatened me with directly back on 10/2), and after the gaslighting posts yesterday, I donโ€™t have a choice anymore. November 2025 -The Rumors About โ€œMarch 4โ€, Joe Flipperhead Flips to Team Aidan Aidan texted Joe his entire made-up version weeks ago. November 26-27, 2025- Ratchet Chelsea: The Full 48 Hour Meltdown 11/26/25- The Unprovoked Attack & The March 4 Video On Tuesday night, Chelsea came out of nowhere and launched herself straight at me, accusing me of all kinds of conspiracies from harassment to the horrific crime of sending a friend request, which is explained in vivid detail in the below post (sheโ€™s since gone somewhat viral, love this for her!) She spent the next 24 hours thoroughly embarrassing herself and the moment anyone challenged her story even slightly, she did what she always does: she imploded. 11/27/25-The Gaslighting & 9-Minute Backpedal Then yesterday, Aidan tried to save face by posting that he โ€œdidnโ€™t want the video to be public.โ€ And like clockwork, nine minutes later, Chelsea came charging into the comments like a Temu-sponsored bat out of hell, scrambling to apologize, trying to rewrite reality so it looked like he didnโ€™t send her to do it. Kk. Aidan commented on her posts that same day, clearly encouraging it. The โ€œI never wanted this publicโ€ lie Aidanโ€™s post yesterday claimed he โ€œnever wanted this to be public.โ€ If this were true, why did he instruct Chelsea to post it? Why did he share it with Jess Machado to threaten me with for the last month? Why did he share it with Joe Flipperhead, and God knows who else? If he didnโ€™t want it public, he wouldnโ€™t have shared it with anyone, let alone the girl I caught him cheating with. The timeline is clearโ€“ Chelsea posted a video at 11:08 pm on Thanksgiving Eve, I responded at 11:50 out of self defense. He leaked first. He escalated first. He weaponized it first. Trying to rewrite that now is gaslighting, pure and simple. He's been lighting matches behind the scenes for months, praying for this to go public. And your family(ies) will feel the same when your ass is doxxed next week. Canโ€™t wait to tAkE tHaT WaLk with you! And then my personal favorite-ex-fake friend Auntie Deb, who decided to spice up his Spaces on Thanksgiving by accusing me of distributing revenge porn with zero evidence, zero screenshots, zero anything. A completely fabricated felony tossed around like itโ€™s gossip hour at the bingo hall. Considering your own professional history, James, Iโ€™d hope you of all people would understand how catastrophic false accusations can be, but apparently not. It would be a shame if I were to share the real reason around your separation at the middle school and how you wanted to bring Turtlenoy into it. This is all based on the several witnesses Iโ€™ve spoken to. See how that works? You announce things as fact based on something someone told you. I wonder if youโ€™ll have that same enthusiasm when the topic is you. TBD. Iโ€™ll wait for that retraction about revenge porn. If you thought the fall-out of Kateโ€™s video was bad, Jessicaโ€ฆstay tuned. I may have been momentarily distracted dealing with the chaos from Temu Chelsea, but thereโ€™s an army of your victims out there that are eager and ready for your downfall. The false claim that I shared โ€œrevenge porn,โ€ the conspiracy theories, the wild accusations you present as fact, all of it. The 10+ streams youโ€™ve now defamed me on.

Ch. 14 of NITRO: The Inside Story of Hulk Hogan's heel turn - #OTD 30 Years Ago (7/7/96)! AS DAY BECAME NIGHT at the Sullivan home, Bollea deliberated his participation in the pay-per-view. โ€œEverybody was telling him that it was the wrong thing to do,โ€ Kevin Sullivan says. โ€œHe was getting booed out of the arena, but they were all saying, โ€˜this is gonna kill himโ€™.โ€ With no end to the discussion in sight, the wily booker casually suggested that Bollea and Young make use of his two guest rooms until the morning. โ€œI isolated [them],โ€ Sullivan admits. โ€œI was just afraid that at the last minute, he was going to use his creative control [clause] and pull out.โ€ If Sullivan could deliver Bollea to the arena by showtime, the finish of the match called for Hogan to star in the most dramatic of surprise endings. In a sequence devised by Kevin Nash, an unannounced Hulkster would shockingly interfere in the match, but only after the heels gained an unfair advantage through cheating. It would be a brilliant misdirection, Nash thought, as fans would instinctively believe Hoganโ€™s appearance to be in support of the babyface team. โ€œI knew there were gonna be 55 different ideas,โ€ Nash says, thinking back to the eve of the event, โ€œ[so] I actually put a lot of thought into it. I called Scott [Hall] two or three days before that, and said โ€˜what do you think about this?โ€™ โ€œWe had to make it a 2-on-2 match with Lex Luger getting injured [during the match] and going out. We would cheat to get Macho [Man] in trouble and all of a sudden Hulk comes down, which of course would mean โ€˜ok, here comes Hulk to make the saveโ€™. [Hall] said, โ€˜I love itโ€™.โ€ There was, however, the looming possibility that Bollea could reject his turn at the eleventh hour. Thinking ahead, Eric Bischoff developed a contingency plan in which Sting would play the role, ultimately revealing himself - despite not having prior experience with the WWF - as the โ€˜third manโ€™ instead. โ€œI remember Eric came in to the locker room,โ€ recalls Marcus 'Buff' Bagwell, โ€œand said [to Sting], โ€˜I wanna talk to you about somethingโ€™. I could hear them going over the idea, and then when they got done, Sting told me what they were talking about. He said that [Eric said], โ€˜there are only two guys that could turn heel where it would really matterโ€™. That would be Hogan and Sting.โ€ โ€œHe was offering Sting the job first, [as I recall], and Sting didnโ€™t wanna do it. He didnโ€™t really say it wouldnโ€™t work, but he just said, โ€˜it doesnโ€™t intrigue me. I donโ€™t wanna do itโ€™.โ€ According to Andre Freitas, a special effects artist who worked in costume design and character development for WCW, the proposed Sting swerve was to involve the use of a doppelganger - or โ€˜phonyโ€™ Sting - presumably in an effort to fool fans that the real character had switched sides. โ€œThat was their original plan,โ€ says Freitas. โ€œEric showed me a picture of Jeff Farmer (a lower-card wrestler) and said โ€˜can you make him Sting?โ€™ I told him that they have similar bodies...then we looked at Stingโ€™s hair and Jeffโ€™s hair...and talked about all that stuff. I did a head cast for [Farmer] and some prosthetic and test make-ups. But when they secured Hogan, we didnโ€™t do [the angle].โ€ ----------- Amazingly, even as Bash at the Beach began, Bischoff continued to consider Plan B. โ€œI remember walking by this perforated wall in the Ocean Center,โ€ divulges Nash, โ€œand Eric said to me, โ€˜Hulk is with Sullivan, and heโ€™s not sure heโ€™s gonna do it yetโ€™. It was up in the air.โ€ Meanwhile, viewers of the pay-per-view - and, for that matter, WCWโ€™s own production staff - speculated as to the identity of the third man. โ€œThey were trying to โ€˜workโ€™ everyone,โ€ asserts Jason Douglas, a WCW producer backstage at his first pay-per-view event. โ€œโ€˜Rocketโ€™ (staff member Rick Sancher) came up to me - they were kinda testing me because I was new on the road - and said โ€˜hey, I think itโ€™s gonna be [WWF wrestler] Bret Hartโ€™. I guess it was to see if I would leak something, and so I was just like โ€˜oh, cool, Bret Hartโ€™.โ€ In reality, aside from Bischoff, Bollea, Young, Hall, Nash and Sullivan, the turn would be concealed from everyone - even the announcers, according to orders from Bischoff - as to ensure their most realistic reactions. With less than an hour before the main event began, production staffer Woody Kearce discovered a revealing clue in the parking lot. A Hulk Hogan motorcycle had appeared mysteriously in one of the spaces, sparking another round of backstage conjecture. Finally, with what Sullivan recalls as โ€œthirty minutesโ€ and Bischoff remembers as โ€œforty-five to sixty minutesโ€ left on the air, Bollea belatedly arrived at the Ocean Center. The mood suddenly changed. Upon realizing that his star had been convinced, Bischoff began to relax. โ€œOnce he got to the building, I recall a sense of calm,โ€ he reveals. โ€œAll of the anxiety, all of the tension, all of the worry, all of the effort to make sure things stayed quiet...all of that just kind of dissipated. It was like fog lifting when the sun comes out - it all just went away. I was thinking, โ€˜it is what it is, thereโ€™s nothing more I can do...so letโ€™s just roll with itโ€™.โ€ To cement the turn, Bollea knew, he would have to deliver a monumental post-match promo to explain his actions. While typically, he enjoyed using Bischoff as a sounding board to rehearse interviews, the need for complete privacy - on this occasion - was unquestionably paramount. And so, away from prying eyes - and ears - the two met up in the most unglamorous of clandestine locations - a utility closet. In the midst of the run-through, Bischoff stopped to emphasize an important point: When you grab that microphone, I want you to say...โ€˜this is the beginning of the new...world...orderโ€™. The phrase - โ€˜new world orderโ€™ - lingered auspiciously in the air. Bischoff surprised himself with the utterance, realizing slowly that the term encapsulated everything that the invasion storyline could represent. In 1990, then-president George H.W. Bush famously utilized the same expression in a speech to Congress, although its origin could actually be traced back to the 28th President, Woodrow Wilson. But if Bischoff was unsure as to the source of his spontaneous inspiration, perhaps the answer could be found closer to home - on the preceding Nitro, just six days earlier, announcer Larry Zybysko serendipitously made the following proclamation: โ€œThis Sunday, I promise you, there will be a new world order of wrestlingโ€ฆโ€ Fans at the Ocean Center waited anxiously to see if Zybyskoโ€™s prophecy would materialize; for after all the hoopla, it was suddenly time for the main event. Before the opening bell, the audience was already on its feet for ring announcer@Michael_Bufferโ€™s pre-match introductions. As Hall and Nash sauntered to the ring for The Hostile Takeover match, Buffer set the scene with theatrical aplomb: โ€œLadies and gentleman, at this time, let me introduce the men whose plan and goal is to takeover the WCW with force and hostility. We were told there would be three of these interlopers, and I must apologize as I have been informed - as you can see - there are only two. Ladies and gentleman, introducing...the Outsiiiiiders!โ€ In a moment that played off perfectly on television, Stingโ€™s entrance music began - and quickly ended - as โ€˜Mean Geneโ€™ Okerlund traipsed cautiously into the ring. After exchanging quizzical looks with Buffer and referee Randy Anderson, Okerlund confronted the Outsiders to get some answers, an inspired plot device designed to build the tension even further. โ€œGentleman,โ€ began Okerlund, โ€œif I could have your attention...I donโ€™t have police protection with me at this time, but I wanna confront you in front of this full house here at the Ocean Center, and millions of others watching across the country and around the world. I donโ€™t see three men here tonight. Where is your partner?โ€ Responding in a manner consistent with their WWF characters, Hall and Nash assured Okerlund that the third man was present - and ready. โ€œLet me tell you something,โ€ announced a confident Nash, โ€œwe got enough to handle it right now, right here.โ€ Once more, Stingโ€™s entrance music blared from the arena speakers, this time preceding the man himself, accompanied by Luger and Savage. โ€œHere we go!โ€ screamed color commentator Bobby Heenan as the wrestlers passed an unusually large contingent of security personnel on the entrance way. โ€œThe war is on!โ€ Less than two minutes into the bout, Luger collapsed to the outside, a move in accordance with Nashโ€™s plan to even the sides before the climactic reveal. โ€œNow itโ€™s two against two!โ€ yelled Heenan. After a brief delay, the concerned crowd looked on as Luger left the arena on a stretcher, leaving Sting and Savage alone to fight valiantly for WCW. As the match progressed, the contemptible Outsiders used every trick to stall their opponentโ€™s momentum, until a revitalized Savage began a furious rally at the fifteen-and-a-half minute mark. The invaders were suddenly down, but not out - as with the referee distracted, Nash landed a low-blow to bring the Macho Man to his knees. All four men lay on the canvas, exhausted, as referee Anderson started a ten count. As Anderson yelled โ€˜ONEโ€™, several rows of spectators rose to their feet. Within seconds, the reaction diffused from section to section, the noise level increasing with each passing beat. On the live broadcast, viewers at home caught glimpse of a familiar figure making his way down the ramp. โ€œHulkamania!โ€ screamed Dusty Rhodes on commentary while Hogan walked methodically towards the ring. Noticeably, the Hulkster seemed oddly disaffected - even out-of-character - but after exchanging the briefest of glances with the crowd, he continued stride with the din reaching fever pitch. โ€œWhose side is he on?โ€ bellowed Heenan, a question that seemed inexplicable given the history of Hoganโ€™s on-screen persona. โ€œWhose side is he on?โ€ repeated Heenan, who as longtime fans could recall, had opposed Hogan for years as a manager in the WWF. For that reason, the comment flew over the heads of most (but not all) viewers; meanwhile, the live crowd was cheering as if their team had won the World Series. Nash and Hall retreated to the floor as Hogan tore off his shirt, an apparent signal that the archetypal good guy was here to save the day again. โ€œWhoโ€™s bad now boys?โ€ taunted play-by-play man Tony Schiavone on commentary, confident that WCWโ€™s honor was no longer in jeopardy. Savage lay prone on the mat as Hogan surveyed the scene. Above the cheapest of cheap seats, peeking through a curtain with palpable anticipation, was Eric Bischoff. โ€œI knew that something big was about to happen,โ€ he recalls. โ€œIt was either gonna be a big failure, or a big success.โ€ Seemingly out of nowhere, with his unsuspecting devotees enveloped in celebration, Hulk backed up to the corner. With the coldness of a serial killer, the once-honorable hero shockingly shoved referee Anderson, and executed his patented finishing move - the leg drop - to the helpless Macho Man below. The audience became completely, utterly unglued. โ€œI was standing back with the announcers,โ€ remembers Michelle Baines, newly hired as a production assistant. โ€œOne of the producers turned to me and said, โ€˜you need to go to the backโ€™. โ€œโ€˜I said, โ€˜what do you mean?โ€™ โ€œShe said, โ€˜itโ€™s gonna get ugly real quickโ€™.โ€ โ€œShe was right - the crowd turned ugly quick.โ€ In retrospect, it was clear that even as Hoganโ€™s body approached the canvas - contact with Savage just milliseconds away - the gravity of the assault started to hit home. โ€œWhat has he done?โ€ questioned a crestfallen Rhodes, โ€œis he the third man? What the hell is going on here?โ€ Heenan was even more direct - โ€œHulk Hogan has betrayed WCW! He is the third man in this picture!โ€ A breathless Schiavone could barely muster more than three words: Oh My God, he repeated. Oh My God, he continued, as Hogan high-fived a grinning Hall and Nash. The courageous Sting, stumbling to his feet to stop the injustice, was quickly dispatched, and in the coup de grace, Hogan tossed Anderson to the floor. Sardonically, he covered Savage for the pin, the contest now clearly a farce. โ€œI hope you love it,โ€ a disappointed Rhodes wailed on commentary. โ€œYou just sold your soul to the devil.โ€ The third man was a mystery no more, and Hall, Nash, and Hogan raised their hands in victory to a genuinely astonished audience. The immediate outrage, which first gave way to shock, was now inspiring unmitigated rage. Simultaneously, the evil trio continued to taunt, pose, and antagonize while the announcers lamented WCWโ€™s future. As Sting and Savage hobbled back to the locker room, a visibly distraught Okerlund returned to conduct an explanatory interview, based around the one Hogan and Bischoff had mapped out earlier. โ€œMean Gene,โ€ commanded Hogan, โ€œthe first thing you need to do is to tell these people to shut up if you wanna hear what I gotta say.โ€ For the next four minutes, Hogan rationalized his turn with remarkable clarity. โ€œThe first thing you gotta realize, brother, is this right here is the future of wrestling. You can call this the new...world...order of wrestling. These two men right here came from a great big organization up north, and everybody was wondering who the third man was. Well, who knows more about that organization than me, brother? I made that organization a monster. I made people rich up there. I made the people that ran that organization rich up there. And when it all came to pass, the name Hulk Hogan, the man Hulk Hogan, got bigger than the whole organization!โ€ Bischoff watched from his secretive seat in amazement - he had not seen, nor had anyone, this intensity of emotion on display at a wrestling show before. It was almost as if the assembled masses had lost themselves in the performance, perhaps even forgetting, if only for a moment, that they were witnesses to a pre-determined event. Hoganโ€™s actions had ostensibly interrupted their critical faculties; in other words, they had suspended their disbelief by reacting to the incident as if it were real. Moreover, the shock was manifesting in the most volatile ways imaginable, as in an incident edited out of future showings of the pay-per-view, a rather large man, likely intoxicated, ran into the ring before being knocked down by Hall and Nash. Concurrently, a stream of debris rained down from the stands, with one object hitting Okerlund, and the rest filling the ring in a stunningly unique visual. Hogan continued as the trash piled up around him, even referencing Ted Turner in his diatribe: โ€œBillionaire Ted promised me movies brother. Billionaire Ted promised me millions of dollars. And Billionaire Ted promised me world caliber matches. And as far as Billionaire Ted, Eric Bischoff, and the entire WCW goes, Iโ€™m bored brother! Thatโ€™s why I want these two guys here, these so-called Outsiders. These are the men I want as my friends. They are the new blood of professional wrestling, and not only are we going to take over the whole wrestling business...with Hulk Hogan, the new blood and the monsters with me, we will destroy everything in our path, Mean Gene.โ€ โ€œLook at all the crap in this ring,โ€ responded Okerlund. โ€œThis is whatโ€™s in the future for you if you want to hang around the likes of this man Hall, and this man Nash.โ€ Hogan raised his finger as if to stop the interviewer midstream, the perfect line instantly coming to mind. โ€œAs far as Iโ€™m concerned, all this crap in the ring represents these fans out here,โ€ he boomed defiantly. โ€œFor two years, I held my head high,โ€ ranted Hogan, alluding to his rather uninspired WCW tenure. โ€œI did everything for the charities. I did everything for the kids. And the reception I got when I came out here, you fans can stick it brother! Because if it wasnโ€™t for Hulk Hogan, you people wouldnโ€™t be here. If it wasnโ€™t for Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff would still be selling meat from a truck in Minneapolis. And if it wasnโ€™t for Hulk Hogan, all of these โ€˜Johnny come latelysโ€™ that you see out here wrestling wouldnโ€™t be here. I was selling the world out, brother, while they were bumming gas to put in their car to get to high school!โ€ In closing, Hogan foreshadowed the future state of affairs in WCW with a prophetic preview of coming storylines: โ€œWith Hulk Hogan and the new world organization of wrestling, brother...me and the new blood by my side...whatcha gonna do when the new world organization runs wild on you? Whatcha gonna do? What are you gonna do??โ€ Despite mistakenly bungling the โ€˜new world orderโ€™ phrase at the conclusion of his speech, Hogan still provided the perfect punctuation to a sensational heel turn. His promo, inarguably the most dynamic of his career, came across as strikingly authentic (โ€œit felt real, because it was realโ€™,โ€ offered a proud Eric Bischoff upon reflection years later). On commentary, Schiavone - who most inspiredly suggested that Hogan had planned to double-cross WCW all along, since his debut in 1994 no less - added to the realism with some mournful final comments: โ€œWe have seen the end of Hulkamania,โ€ he grieved. โ€œHulk Hogan, you can go to hell! Weโ€™re outta here. Straight to hell.โ€ ---- To the layman, there appeared an obvious explanation for the feverous crowd response that accompanied Hoganโ€™s turn. Clearly, the element of surprise - one of the key elements of Nitroโ€™s success - had been exploited to a masterful degree (โ€œnobody on earth thought that the third man was going to be Hulk Hogan,โ€ highlights Nash). To Kevin Sullivan, however, there were several layers of story at play. โ€œPeople thought that it was an invasion from the WWF,โ€ he begins, implying that the success of the angle could be correlated to its realism. โ€œThey really bought into it, and when Hogan turned heel...they were sure of it. โ€œSo while Hogan gets the credit for the reaction, it was [Nash and Hall] who set the whole thing up. Those guys built the foundation of heat, and when Hogan came down, it just blew up.โ€ โ€œWe were red hot coming off WWF television,โ€ agrees Nash, โ€œand then you had the biggest turn in the world on top of that. The biggest babyface of all-time finally turned heel!โ€ To the ever-meticulous Sullivan, always a keen observer of the nuances present in a wrestling angle, an often overlooked element was also noteworthy. โ€œHe did it to Randy [Savage],โ€ the booker emphasizes, speaking of Hoganโ€™s betrayal. โ€œPeople knew there was real-life heat there. That helped out too, but everyone played an intricate part. โ€œLightning...you canโ€™t catch it in a bottle but one time.โ€ The above is an excerpt from the book, NITRO: The Incredible Rise and Inevitable Collapse of Ted Turner's WCW.
