One of the children deprived of the people they love, Yahya is a child who emerged from the rubble as the sole survivor of his immediate family. The Holy Spirit lives on the inside of you, and He is your bridegroom, so when you take part in behaviors, thoughts, or words that aren’t in alignment with His way, He feels cheated the same way a husband would if his wife had committed adultery. Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit by cheating on Him with the ways of the world. Instead ask yourself what words, actions, and thoughts will bring blessings and joy to the One who lives inside of you!

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani attended the funeral ceremony in Soran for the six Peshmerga who were martyred in the Iranian missile attack in the early hours of Tuesday March 24. Following his participation in the ceremony, the Prime Minister delivered a statement to the press to extend his condolences to the families and relatives of the martyrs and to the people of Kurdistan. He reaffirmed his commitment to continuing on the patriotic path of the martyrs. In this regard, the Prime Minister said: “With deep sorrow, we extend our condolences to His Excellency President Barzani, to the relatives and the proud families of the martyrs, and to all of us over the loss of these six heroic martyrs. We also wish the wounded a speedy recovery.” The Prime Minister reiterated that they were victims of treachery and betrayal, and that the attack on Peshmerga Forces was carried out without justification. He said that it is because of the blood of the martyrs that we live with pride in our country, and that Kurdistan is precious because of their sacrifice. Just as the blood of the martyrs has never been shed in vain, this time too it will not be in vain. The Prime Minister also stressed that while we do not want to be drawn into any war and want Kurdistan to remain protected, we will do whatever is necessary to protect Kurdistan and defend the dignity, rights, land, and homeland of our people. He emphasized that we will continue along the path of our martyrs and the path of President Barzani.

“I am broken… I put myself after my father… who will treat my mother who has cancer?” These heart-wrenching words were spoken by Ahmed Al-Masri (15 years old), son of the martyred journalist Hussam Al-Masri, as he clutched his father’s camera, which never left him until the moment of his father’s death in the Israeli massacre targeting journalists at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis. Despite his own suffering, Hussam was racing against time to find treatment for his wife Samaher, who was battling cancer. He watched her with helplessness and sorrow as she struggled with pain and fought against death. Yet, he passed away before achieving his dream, leaving behind a deep wound and a heavy burden on the heart of his young son Ahmed, who now carries the weight of his sick mother and struggles to save her from the clutches of illness. In honor of Hussam, his story, and his camera, give hope to his wife Samaher by helping provide her treatment abroad before she loses her battle, leaving Ahmed and his siblings to face this immense pain alone.
