NDTV Exclusive โ€œIndia-Israel Ties Enter Strategic Era, Says Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saโ€™ar: โ€˜India Is the Future, Israel Is Ready to Partner with the Global SuperPowerโ€ Gideon Sa'ar | ื’ื“ืขื•ืŸ ืกืขืจ By Aditya Raj Kaul |NDTV In an exclusive interview with NDTV, Israelโ€™s Foreign Minister Gideon Saโ€™ar described India as a โ€œglobal superpowerโ€ and said that relations between the two democracies are โ€œstronger than ever,โ€ spanning from defense and innovation to counter-terrorism and trade. This was the Israeli ministerโ€™s only interview in India after his meeting with External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, underscoring the significance of the growing India-Israel partnership amid a volatile Middle East. โ€œWe are improving consistently. We are thankful for Indiaโ€™s friendship,โ€ Saโ€™ar told NDTV, emphasizing that the two nations are preparing to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on defense cooperation. โ€œWe are moving forward on defense, agriculture, and economyโ€”but we always have the passion to make it stronger,โ€ he added. Israel Praises Indiaโ€™s Support Post-October 7 Attacks Reflecting on the October 7, 2023, terror attacks by Hamas that triggered the ongoing conflict, Saโ€™ar expressed deep gratitude for Indiaโ€™s swift condemnation. โ€œWe will not forget the fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the first world leader to call Prime Minister Netanyahu on that awful day,โ€ he said. โ€œIndia stood by usโ€”and we will remember that.โ€ On the stalled Gaza peace process, Saโ€™ar emphasized the need for consistency. โ€œThe most important thing is to keep the Trump peace plan as the only game in town,โ€ he said, warning against deviations pushed by other global actors. โ€œItโ€™s a stage-by-stage plan, realistic and implementable. India, as a world leader, has a key role in ensuring it remains on track.โ€ India-Israel Counterterrorism and Defense Partnership Deepens Saโ€™ar acknowledged that India and Israel share โ€œthe same pain and experienceโ€ of terror. โ€œThere is terror everywhereโ€”and the people of India, unfortunately, know its horrors,โ€ he said. โ€œWe designate organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba as terror groups and cooperate closely on intelligence, technology, and defense. No country has greater experience confronting terror than Israelโ€”and we are ready to share it with India.โ€ He revealed that new frameworks for defense and intelligence sharing are being advanced, reflecting what he called โ€œa real strategic partnershipโ€ between the nations. Trade, Connectivity, and Adaniโ€™s Haifa Investment Discussing economic and connectivity projects, Saโ€™ar noted that Israel is ready to revive initiatives like the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEC), first announced during the 2023 G20 Summit in New Delhi. โ€œBecause of the war, there was a hiatus, but we are ready to move forward again,โ€ he said. On Adani Groupโ€™s majority stake in Haifa Port, Saโ€™ar called it a โ€œsymbol of trust.โ€ โ€œIsraelโ€™s air defense system protects our country and the investments made here. We welcome Adaniโ€™s investmentโ€”itโ€™s important for both sides,โ€ he affirmed. He also emphasized the need to renew direct flights between India and Israel to boost tourism, trade, and mobility of Indian workers contributing to Israelโ€™s development sectors. โ€˜India Is the Future, Israel Is a Partnerโ€™ Saโ€™ar concluded the interview on an optimistic note about the bond between Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Netanyahu. โ€œTheir conversations are very openโ€”on strategic and delicate matters. I hope they meet soon,โ€ he said. โ€œThere is a mutual desire to have a real strategic partnership. India is the future. Israel is smaller, but we are a regional power. Together, we can do great thingsโ€”and Iโ€™m sure we will.โ€ Saโ€™ar also confirmed that Israel will participate at a senior level in next yearโ€™s Artificial Intelligence Summit in India, signaling the next frontier of cooperation between the two democracies. Brothers and sisters of India, Namaste ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ The 2024 election season has commenced across the world, here in America and certainly in India. Election seasons present an opportunity for change, to put an end to outdated policies and non progressive people, replaced with voices and values that inspire and truly align with all citizens, their convictions, and what is best for the collective future of a nation. Many people ask why I support Prime Minister Narendra Modi and follow India affairs so closely. The answer is simple. I love India and the Indian people globally. And I believe the Prime Minister is the best leader for India and the progress of Indian citizens. Heโ€™s the best leader for the U.S.-India relationship, and for the global economic stability of the world. Moreover, he is a leader who believes in the empowerment of women. From paving the way for President Murmuโ€™s historic election, to appointing women in key cabinet positions, to encouraging Indian #women athletes and their achievements, the Prime Minister stands for women. Today, India faces a defining moment. Right in Bihar. Where the value of women is being challenged. And I believe there is only one answer to this challenge. After Chief Minister #NitishKumar Jiโ€™s comments, I believe a courageous woman needs to step up and declare her candidacy to run for Chief Minister of Bihar. If I were a citizen of #India, I would move to Bihar and run for Chief Minister. In the holy scriptures, Queen Esther was admonished by her cousin Mordecai to boldly approach her husband, the King, to help save her Jewish people. It was Mordecai who challenged Esther to see her place as Queen, her place and time in the kingdom, as a defining moment to save her Jewish people. Mordecai said to Esther, โ€œwho knows but that you Esther have come to the kingdom, made Queen, for such a time as this?โ€ I believe the time is now for Nitish Kumar to resign and for an Esther to arise in Bihar. I believe the #BJP should empower a woman to lead in Bihar. This would be the true sentiment of women empowerment and development in response. Or #Bihar, do as #SRK admonished in the film #Jawan, โ€œvoteโ€ and bring change. You the people of Bihar, of India, have the power to vote in a woman, to vote in changeโ€ฆfor such a time as this. Namaste ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ Narendra Modi BJP #PMModi #WomenEmpowerment

NEW: Whitney Webb describes how Les Wexner, Netanyahu, etc. have "enmeshed" Israeli tech startups into Big Tech companies so "they [can] never meaningfully boycott Israel no matter what happens" "a lot of these startups, of course... are intimately related to Israeli intelligence and Israeli military operations. They're staffed by veterans of one or the other... for lack of a better word, they have an explicit policy of using them as front companies for intelligence" "so, basically, by having all of these Big Tech companies absorb them, the goal is to have a major economic lever of power over the tech industry in particular that would prevent U.S. policy from ever meaningfully challenging Israel, even at this point in time when they have actively been conducting a genocidal war for years in Palestine" This clip of Webb (Whitney Webb), a contributing editor of Unlimited Hangout and author of One Nation Under Blackmail, is taken from an interview with Chris Hedges (Chris Hedges) posted to YouTube on August 5, 2026 ---------------Partial transcription of clip---------------- "Well, looking at a lot of the tech companies and data center companies that have installed themselves in New Albany in particular, the vast majority of them have significant subsidiaries that operate in the State of Israel. "And Wexner, of course, is intimately related to the state of Israel through his own activities. For example, I think several decades ago, he was sort of acting as a middleman in some business capacities between Israel and China and also working on establishing Israeli businesses and helping them establish themselves in the occupied Golan Heights, among other things. "And that's to say nothing of his links to the Mega Group, for example, which, as you noted in your introduction, created Birthright Israel. And also Jeffrey Epstein, who, at this point, is quite known for his ties to former Israeli politicians and the Israeli state. "But I think it also speaks to sort of a broader issue, to have a lot of this infrastructure of technology in the US be intimately intermingled and connected to Israel. "And this was actually something that was furthered and actually developed in conjunction with Netanyahu and the so-called vulture capitalist and significant donor to neoconservative causes Paul Singer, who explicitly created a company called Startup Nation Central with the explicit purpose of making it impossible for the U.S. to ever significantly support the BDS movement or the Boycott Divest Sanctions movement. "And the goal was to basically market Israeli startups to U.S. big tech firms so that they would acquire a lot of those startups and unprecedented numbers and also contract with them so that US technological infrastructure on multiple levels would be so intimately enmeshed with Israeli interests that they could never meaningfully boycott Israel no matter what happened, essentially. "And a lot of these startups, of course, if you've ever looked into the Israeli startup scene, are intimately related to, you know, Israeli intelligence and Israeli military operations. They're staffed by veterans of one or the other. "And, at the same time, coincidentally that Startup Nation Central was created, the Israeli government developed an explicit policy where these startups would be used to conduct operations that previously had been conducted in-house by Mossad, Unit 8200, and other parts of the Israeli intelligence system. "So, for lack of a better word, they have an explicit policy of using them as front companies for intelligence. And so, basically, by having all of these Big Tech companies absorb them, the goal is to have a major economic lever of power over the tech industry in particular that would prevent U.S. policy from ever meaningfully challenging Israel, even, you know, at this point in time, when they have, you know, actively been conducting a genocidal war for years in Palestine."
