The truth is that many men are naturally timid and fearful. Social media algorithms reward crazy, sensational, outrageous videos. So when you see these clips, and I’m sure both of you have seen them, of some girl doing squats at the gym while recording herself, with a caption underneath like, “Oh my God, some creep just looked at me,” guys watch that and think, “Oh, girls don’t even want to be looked at in public.” So they go into this mode of eyes forward, blinkers on, don’t look at anyone, don’t make any woman think you might be interested in her. But most women at the gym are probably either indifferent to being noticed, or, if they’re single, maybe even positively inclined to being approached in a normal, respectful way. The problem is that men see the video and think that is reality. They get this distorted view of what women are actually like in public. The other thing is that a lot of guys use Me Too, or these videos of women posting mean comments about men, as a justification for what pickup artists call approach anxiety. They’re already afraid of approaching women. Now they have a socially acceptable excuse. “Oh, I don’t want to be accused of harassment.” “I would totally go talk to her, bro, but I don’t want to get Me Too’d.” “I would approach that girl, but what if she records me and posts it online?” That becomes the story they tell themselves. But the truth is, they probably wouldn’t approach her anyway. They would be afraid regardless. So I think there’s a lot of excuse-making mixed in with genuine fear.

JOONGDUNK PRAEW PODCAST #DearMyselfxJoongDunk : so can i ask this—after working together and going through both good and bad times, hardships, happiness, and success and embracing all of that as JoongDunk… how does being “JoongDunk” feel to you both now? 🌻if you ask me right now i’d say it feels really good. we understand each other more now. of course there were times when we didn’t understand each other we just talk things out—like what the other person this khun (🌞) doesn’t like and then i simply don’t do those things. for me i’m not someone who wants to have problems with anyone in the first place. so if i know he doesn’t like something i simply won’t do it. and honestly it goes both ways—we share what we don’t like and then adjust to meet each other halfway 🌞what JoongDunk is today huh? it has changed a lot. there have been many versions many eras. in the early days we were just two innocent kids who didn’t think much. but now we’ve grown up—we’ve been through a lot together. there was even a time - we’ve been at a point where we almost breaking up… there was a time when it felt like we couldn’t go on together - like it was going to end for sure — 100%. but in the end, we have to thank the seniors and the adults around us—we were lucky to have people guiding us : and today how much do you rely on each other—in work and in life? 🌻it’s to the point that we can’t even count the days we don’t see each other We see each other almost every day—especially lately. it’s basically every day now. it’s become a habit, but that’s exactly what can make us careless 🌞when we’re that close and see each other all the time sometimes we don’t realize that the things we do unintentionally might hurt the other person. so the closer we are the more we have to care there was a time when we had to sit down and make a deal about this. cause we got so used to working and being together we stopped greeting each other. like, we’d come to work, walk past each other - sit doing makeup spacing out… and then we realized “hey this isn’t okay” so we made a rule: from now on whenever we come to work, you have to hug me once or say hi or touch me—something to let me know “ i’m here” It’s just a small rule but it makes everything better 🌻and same when leaving—we have to say goodbye like “see you” 🌞you can leave first that’s fine but you have to tell me first “please tell me”

🎤 Since getting to know each other, what are you most proud of about the other person? 🐰 So many things. 🐨 Seriously, so many things. First of all, Mhee is really proud of Sonya. One thing is… I already loved her acting from the very beginning. Back then, my acting skills were literally below zero. Another thing is, I feel like before, she wasn’t as good at controlling her emotions as she is now. She’s grown up a lot. She’s become more mature and more reasonable. Not that she didn’t already have those qualities before, but now everything she already had feels even stronger. She’s braver too. Before, she wasn’t really the type to do things for herself because she cared so much about other people’s feelings. I used to tell her that I wanted her to think about herself first sometimes. That’s not being selfish. As humans, if we take care of ourselves and we’re happy first, the people around us will be happier too. So I’m really proud that she’s grown in that way. 🐰 Yeah, I was just thinking about it too. Before, it’s not that Sonya couldn’t control emotions or anything… I was just very childish. Like when kids feel something, they just react instantly and loudly. Yeah, my expressions always gave everything away. I was never good at hiding how I felt. But I wasn’t someone who would say mean things or think badly about people or anything like that. It was more like… if I was tired, my face would immediately show it. Later on, I started realizing like, “Hey, I’m not the only tired person here.” Mhee is tired too. Everyone is tired. Working with a lot of people and experiencing so many things socially kind of changed me in a better way. Yeah, I feels like she helped me become better too. 🐰I think Mhee has always been more mature than me already. She’s basically like my life coach. She teaches me everything. But honestly, I think Mhee has gotten better at everything. She always says things like “I can’t sing,” “I can’t dance,” “I can’t act,” but she actually can do everything. She’s the type of person who’s always willing to learn. Sometimes I feel like Mhee doesn’t even necessarily want to do certain things, but because Sonya wants to do them, she’s willing to do them with me. Then she ends up realizing she’s actually really good at it. She really enjoys it too. It’s like trying new things together and discovering, “Wait… maybe this is actually fun.” 🐨 Yeah. Sometimes just knowing you have someone beside you makes you want to do your best too. Seeing Sonya perform well makes me want to do well with her. If I don’t put effort into it, Mhee feels like I regret it a lot. So whether I can do it well or not, at least put my whole heart into it first. Because wherever we go, we always go together. We don’t leave each other behind. 🐰 Mhee has improved so much lately. Her dancing is amazing now. The rhythm just comes naturally and flows smoothly. Same with singing too. my new song “BREAKDOWN.” is out on the 21st of June!!! 🖤🖤🖤 I wrote this poem because it’s been the hardest year for my mental health. In my life I’ve always never felt good enough, it’s just the thing that’s eaten me up. For as long as I can remember i have felt constantly afraid of how quickly my head can turn dark. It’s always been so hard to fight the darkness that i inevitably have. A lot of people will say it’s a phase and it will go away. But it doesn’t and the reality of the situation is I have to find strategies to deal with it. To put it plainly the things I don’t like about myself will probably never change, people tell me one day I’ll come-to terms with them one day but I want that day to be FUCKING NOW. This song is a message to myself to try and exist alongside my insecurities and my darkness by grounding myself and remembering what is real in life and the world is so much bigger than me. Try and get out of your head and notice the world around you, notice the things and people around you. Connect with them, the chances are they probably feel the same. Don’t let the bullshit inside your head consume you. It just wastes precious time. Remember what is real. Help people, be kind, help the world, help yourself. If you think you can’t do it, you can. You can get through this, trust me. Use this poem in a mornin to get u out of bed, use it when youre about to back out of something last minute, use it when you’re at your darkest. There are a lot of songs. Enough songs to fully do a concert. Ticketing? When would you like ticketing to be? Weekend? Ticketing will probably happen soon. Music shows? If I don’t do music shows, you guys will complain, right? Right? You won’t swear at me, but you’ll say something, right? The dress code isn’t decided yet. Of course I should do music shows. But if you don’t come watch, then there’s no point. If you guys won’t come, I won’t do music shows. I’ll just practice for the concert instead. Album? Last time Teuk talked about it… It will come out faster than that. After Super Show and the encore ends, the album will come out pretty quickly. The dress code hasn’t been decided yet, but I’ll tell you later. The concert theme will also be revealed later. How many self-composed songs do you think I did? Of course I’ll dance at the concert. He was worried about Mark Carney’s election and what might happen to freedom — and to Rebel News. We spoke for more than half an hour. He really cared about our country. He knew a lot about Rebel News, especially our battles for free speech. And he was worried whenever one of our journalists were arrested. Watch the video above to see what he said to me. We talked about what life was like in a country without the First Amendment to protect our free speech. And then he asked me: “Are you guys going to give up?” I told him we’ll never give up. It’s our duty fight for freedom. Like we have for ten full years at Rebel News, thanks to viewers like you. You are the reason I was able to tell him we’d always fight. Because we rely on you, instead of relying on grants from Mark Carney. We’re independent. We take no government money. So we can fight back. We do great journalism, from the trucker convoy in 2022 to the ostrich farm siege in 2025. We have reporters across the country, including in Quebec. But every once in a while we don’t just write about a problem. We stop and get involved in the battle, too, to try to fix it. Like fighting for thousands of people who received huge Covid fines. He wanted us to continue to take on corruption, and mass immigration, and censorship and to go out among the people and tell their stories, and help fight their battles. I do see my friends, they go hang out, have meals, do this and that, but I’m working. But it’s not that I don’t love my job, I love my job so much. I really enjoy it. It’s just that there’s a small part of me that feels like, I’m missing out on that life, because to be honest, I’m only 22 but by the time it’s on, I would be 23, there’s just a little bit of that feeling. But I would choose this over that for sure because I’m really happy working. Lately, I try to find joy when I work, if I can’t have a vacation, it’s okay because I find joy when I work. It might just be simple things like joking around with the team or getting to eat something delicious, or like feeling happy when filming, that’s already happy. And then my life is, I believe there are people who must be working hard, who also want to be like this, so it can suit each other as well. Just like before, same words, I really appreciate what things are right now, and I work very hard too, and believe that if I work hard, one day will have success
