Today, 23 March, marks the harrowing anniversary of what was to become the darkest chapter in our modern history: Covid Lockdown. The catastrophic policy decisions that ensued in the following weeks and months, led to the generational slaughter of care home residents, traumatised families for life, and provided the catalyst for the collapse of the NHS and the mental health tsunami we are still witnessing today. Never again must we allow the state to inflict such inhumanity and barbarity in the name of ‘keeping us safe’. Care homes were transformed into prisons with no access to medical care. Instead of receiving antibiotics and other life-saving treatments, tens of thousands of residents were put on end-of-life pathways, starved, dehydrated, and drugged to death; others died from broken hearts and the conviction their families had abandoned them. A similar fate awaited those who were hospitalized. The truth about the impact of these fateful policy responses will never be exposed by an official inquiry. The truth would be far too damning. Here's a reminder of the horrors inflicted on care home residents. #NeverAgain

I went on GB News recently to tell the truth about an Afghan Resettlement Programme that’s placing hundreds of migrants in a 4-star hotel in Bracknell — it’s unfair to local residents and a betrayal of our veterans, many of whom are living in terrible conditions on the housing waiting list, and who deserve at least the same support. For saying this, some councillors tried to silence me. A Labour councillor even reported me to the police — simply for calling for fairness and parity for our veterans. It’s not hate to stand up for veterans. It’s not hate to stand up for local people when no other local politician will. It’s called doing my job — and I’m grateful to GB News for giving me the chance to say what many residents think but are too scared to voice.

A family in Winnie Mandela Zone 2, Tembisa, is appealing for community assistance after an early-morning break-in at their home on Wednesday. Resident Mzwakhe Mkhonazi says the incident happened around 3am, when an unknown man broke into their home and stole groceries recently bought by his mother with her social grant money. Mkhonazi says the suspect ignored household appliances such as the television and microwave, taking only food items. She complained to the tour operator who removed the hotel from sale while investigating apologised for the experience and issued a full refund of the accommodation cost but ruled out further compensation. The tour operator stated hotels set their own policies on guests which is outside their control and the evidence provided was not sufficient for additional claims.

Today, we were honored to welcome U.S. Army Sergeant Matthew Krumwiede home to his mortgage-free, specially adapted smart home in Idaho. On this day 13 years ago, while leading a patrol in Kandahar, Afghanistan, Matthew stepped on an IED — an explosion that changed his life in an instant. He lost both legs above the knee and sustained serious injuries to his left arm, hand, and abdomen. Thanks to the quick actions of his team and medics, Matthew survived and began the long road to recovery. With grit, resilience, and the support of his loved ones, Matthew learned to walk and run again. Since retiring from the Army in 2015, he’s continued to live life on his own terms — from working on a ranch and driving trucks, to volunteering in his community and advocating for other wounded veterans through extreme adaptive sports. Today, we’re proud to give back to this remarkable hero. This specially adapted smart home will give Matthew the freedom and independence he deserves, and we can’t wait to see what he does next. "This home is amazing; beyond all my expectations," said Matthew. "The space in here is so nice and my wheelchair will fit perfectly. It's just absolute freedom." Today, we were honored to welcome U.S. Army Sergeant Matthew Krumwiede home to his mortgage-free, specially adapted smart home in Idaho. On this day 13 years ago, while leading a patrol in Kandahar, Afghanistan, Matthew stepped on an IED — an explosion that changed his life in an instant. He lost both legs above the knee and sustained serious injuries to his left arm, hand, and abdomen. Thanks to the quick actions of his team and medics, Matthew survived and began the long road to recovery. With grit, resilience, and the support of his loved ones, Matthew learned to walk and run again. Since retiring from the Army in 2015, he’s continued to live life on his own terms — from working on a ranch and driving trucks, to volunteering in his community and advocating for other wounded veterans through extreme adaptive sports. Today, we’re proud to give back to this remarkable hero. This specially adapted smart home will give Matthew the freedom and independence he deserves, and we can’t wait to see what he does next. In the ongoing winter session of the Vidhan Sabha, I raised the "Point of Information" and demanded construction regulations (SOP) for Pune City. Pune is expanding rapidly, and construction activities are booming at an unprecedented rate throughout the city. Construction work, especially during nighttime, has become a pressing concern for local residents, senior citizens, and children. It was brought to my notice that #Pune Municipal Corporation has not established specific regulations regarding permissible hours for construction work, despite directives from the Supreme Court. There is also a lack of guidelines on the precautions and care needed to ensure minimal disturbance to the surrounding citizens during these activities.
