An election happens… Dec 5, 2022 — the new Langford Now council votes in favour of a proposal by Councillor Szpak to put the Sifert Park naming process on hold, pending a review of the park naming policy. There is no timeline given. They don’t ask for one. Perhaps they will regret not doing so. Time passes… Dec 4, 2023 — Winnie’s daughter Sandy Sifert asks the new council when the process will be done? Their family has waited nearly a year, which will turn out to be just the beginning of this saga. Six Months ago, I launched an appeal for Femi who is battling Colon Cancer. It has been a very long ride but we thank God for where we are now. Femi is doing so much better and we are confident he will beat this cancer. After the initial surgery in May, we waited for the oncologist report to determine the next steps. We consulted with two different oncologist and the conclusions were more or less the same that he must undergo 12 cycles of Chemo at the first instance. We had an initial target of N12m but all in all, we raised in total N9,511,824 and have spent a total of N9,405,829.72. Below is the breakdown of the outflow. 1. Surgery between May 21st and June 1st - N4,270,179 2. Chest CT Scan on the 13th July, 2024 - N122,000 3. Chemo Fitness on the 27th July 2024 - N45,850 4. FLORENCIO VARGAS was arrested for throwing Molotov cocktails at passing vehicles on I25 on 5/23/25. When Denver Police Dept. responded, VARGAS threw a Molotov cocktail at the officer and fled the scene. DPD pursued VARGAS to downtown Denver (14th and Market) where he was stopped around 10:30pm. VARGAS is being held on a $50k bond (only $5k cash). VARGAS has a long and violent criminal history including charges for homicide 2, assault, kidnapping, sex assault, weapons, and more. VARGAS was sentenced to 8 years in CDOC in feb 2019 yet he was arrested 9/27/22 for violating probation (so it appears he didn’t even serve half of his sentence). He was arrested in 2024 for kidnapping and homicide 2, which were both dismissed by plea. VARGAS was out on a $500 ($50 cash) bond for case 25M02893. Why do we continue to let violent, repeat offenders terrorize our communities? I didn’t hear about this on the news, did you?

It is targeting our Arab neighbors. These violations of their sovereignty are unacceptable and we condemn them. But this is nothing new. This is who the Islamic Republic has always been. And this is why it must end. For nearly five decades, this terrorist regime has sown chaos and bloodshed across our region. It propped up Assad, turning Syria into a graveyard. It planted Hezbollah; as a state within a state in Lebanon. It armed the Houthis to destabilize the Arabian Peninsula. It empowered militias in Iraq that undermine Iraqi sovereignty. It attacked the economic hubs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. None of this has ever been the desire of the Iranian people, but rather that of the regime occupying our country. Now, however, the landscape has fundamentally shifted. Assad is gone. Hezbollah has been decimated. The regime’s military nuclear program has been set back. Its economy is in freefall. The pillars of this regime’s aggression are crumbling. The Iranian people have paid the price, in blood, to reach this moment. The regime massacred at least tens of thousands of my compatriots in just two days. But it didn’t break the people. Instead, the regime itself is breaking. Today, history reminds us of our future potential. This is an important step for the people of Ukraine on the path to peace and victory. Mykhailo Drapatyi is a professional forged by modern warfare. He has a strong team, extensive experience, faith, and the support of the Ukrainian people. Today, all of Ukraine woke up with joy and hope. I would like to share a few words about the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: 🔹 Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi previously commanded the Land Forces of Ukraine, the Joint Forces, and key operational groupings on the most critical frontlines. 🔹 He is a recipient of the "Cross of Combat Merit" and a full Knight of the "Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky." 🔹 Mykhailo is 43 years old and has risen through the ranks of the Armed Forces - so he knows the Army well and has a broad perspective. 🔹 In 2014, as commander of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion, Mykhailo led a daring BMP-2 breakthrough through separatist barricades to aid defenders in Mariupol. He also withdrew Ukrainian troops from encirclement near Izvaryne, served as chief of staff, first deputy commander of the 30th Mechanized Brigade (which fought in Avdiivka and the Yasynuvata district of Donetsk region), and later commanded the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. 🔹 During the full-scale invasion, he commanded the "South" grouping, stopping the Russian advance on Kryvyi Rih and contributing to the liberation of the right bank of Kherson region in 2022. 🔹 In 2024, he headed the defense that halted the Russian offensive near Kharkiv and later commanded the Luhansk operational group. 🔹 In late 2024, he was appointed Commander of the Land Forces and simultaneously led the "Khortytsia" operational-strategic grouping. In the first video attached you hear Omah Lay ask her what her name was when she came on stage🙃. Secondly, the video that’s going viral about Omah Lay not knowing her name but giving her shoutout is an old video, after his show in Amsterdam & not London. The voice you hear in the background drawing the attention of Omah Lay about the fan’s name(Fafa) was Nigerian Afrobeats promoter, Adesope. He posted that video on IG in addition to a media carousel on February 11, 2024. He was at that show which also had guest artistes like Smallgod & King Promise. Fafa is actually a staunch fan of Omah Lay’s music, who flew from the UK to Amsterdam just to see Omah Lay; she could sing all of his songs. That is who both Adesope & Omah Lay were referring to(watch video in the last frame) post-shouts. Also, Omah Lay didn’t say ‘bitch’ as purported; he was actually saying ‘big shout—’ & got intercepted by Adesope in revealing the name of the fan to him. Hence the second take.
