@dundeeunitedfc @andrewrobertso5 @Gary__11 Ciftiโ€™s wasnโ€™t a โ€œlate winnerโ€, we were 2-1 up at that point. What is most certainly was though was the greatest celebratory FUCK YOU in the history of Scottish football, to Deadco FC, their toxic support, and the @sfa Utterly magnificent!

In the summer of 1971, the two leagues agreed to play pre-season interleague exhibition games for the first time. In the very first NBA vs. ABA game on September 21, 1971. #SoulPower During the first few years of the rivalry, most of the interleague games were played in ABA arenas. However, Buoyed by younger, better talent and the home court advantage, the ABA won the overall rivalry 79 games to 76 ๐Ÿ† Only two NBA teams refused to schedule exhibition games vs. ABA teams : Los Angeles Lakers & Cleveland Cavaliers ABA vs. NBA exhibition games were always intense, due to the bad blood between the leagues. Ultra-competitive superstars were thrown out of interleague games with multiple technical fouls. Coaches like Larry Brown and Tommy Heinsohn often ended up listening to interleague games in the locker room, after being ejected. Occasionally, the interleague games highlighted some bizarre situations. In the fall of 1972, budding ABA superstar Julius Dr J Erving decided to switch leagues. He left his ABA team, the Virginia Squires, and reported to the training camp of an NBA team, the Atlanta Hawks. The Atlanta Hawks actually used Erving in two exhibition games against ABA opponents: the #ColonelsComeBack and the Carolina Cougars. After those two games, the courts ruled that Erving had to honor his prior contract with the Squires, and Erving returned to the ABA. In most ABA vs. NBA games, the rules were as follows: - The ABA's red, white and blue ball was used for one half, and the NBA's traditional brown ball was used in the other half. - The ABA's three-point shot (and 30 second shot clock) was used for one half only. - In certain games, the ABA's no-foul out rule was in effect for the entire game. - Generally, the league hosting the game provided its own referees.

Joined Arsenal FC in 2005โ€ฆthe FA cup final against United was the first match I actually remember watching. Broda Dayo as I like to call him, a neighbour was the one who influenced me. For context almost every other person around supported United and Chelsea but there was just something about this hilarious Egbon that made me want to choose Arsenal. We won that FA cup final thenโ€ฆglory to God, but little did I know that I was about to embark on an Israelites journey through the wildernessโ€ฆthe year after we lost champions league final, moved from Highbury, lost Thiery Henry and all our top playersโ€ฆ The following years were a torture, we were almost there a few years after, Eduardo got that injury that derailed our seasonโ€ฆ(a season where we could have won easily) Hleb, Nasri and Fabregas tried their best but to no availโ€ฆwe eventually lost these gems to bigger clubs. Being an Arsenal fan was pain after pain after painโ€ฆ. Watching football wasnโ€™t easy then btw, we had to either go to ball house and pay 30 naira or walk all the way to staff club in OAU quarters to watch footballโ€ฆcos where you wan see cable๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ(and 30 naira really no be chise that year) The 2010โ€™s came and other clubs started spending massively and the gap kept widening and wideningโ€ฆ thus we entered our banter eraโ€ฆI had to get used to watching players like Denilson, Gervinho and Chiamaka ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ The 2010s were a very terrible timeโ€ฆ(we even lost a Carabao cup final in that period to an Obafemi Martins goal๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ) I got cooked daily in Uni until we finally won that FA cup after 8 years drought ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜” It wasnโ€™t enough, we still couldnโ€™t compete with the top teamsโ€ฆ Fast forward to 10 years later, the man who captained the team to the first trophy in 8 years has been able to rebuild this club, transformed the culture and is about to lead us to PREMIER LEAGUE AND EUROPEAN GLORYโ€ฆ Jobโ€™s not done yet so we gotta lock inโ€ฆbut itโ€™s inevitable now. Come on you GUNNERS!!
