Stacking huge numbers of matrix multiplies was perfect for this hardware regime, because matrix multiplication is logic-intensive but requires less data transfer. And so we got matmul-heavy deep learning. It's interesting to think about what AI would look like in a world where these costs didn't diverge so much.

John: AI is actually doing very little for the economy right now. It's doing a lot for the markets, but in terms of the actual economic impact of AI, it's very low. If you add up the actual revenues from the AI labs, you're talking about $40 billion. Maybe there's like a 5x multiple on that, and so you're generating $200 billion of GDP on top of those tokens. But that's just not that much in the grand scheme of America's actual GDP. There's this disconnect between the market, which is pricing future GDP, future cash flows, future value creation. Then you have what is actually driving GDP, and then you have the actual workforce and what Americans do. What's actually holding up the American economy? It's healthcare jobs. The number of people that are software developers is less than 1% of America. The number of people that work at tech companies broadly is less than 10%.

So here’s the deal, THE TREASURY DEPARTMENT DATA IS COMPROMISED. Actors without security clearance have been given access to scrape your data. Elon Musk now controls your data and it represents the same level of control exerted by the Chinese government’s social credit system. Musk is now able to profile every name on the treasury data systems. There is no way to sugar coat the fact that your data is no longer secure. It can now be used to target you and not for your benefit, be sure of that. Democrats and advocacy groups can take all the legal action they like, THE DATA IS COMPROMISED and you can’t put the genie back in the bottle. This data can now be used to literally social engineer services to target any perceived enemy of ‘the state’. Call me a conspiracy theorist if you like, but then sit back have a think if any of what I am suggesting is not possible. I analyse big data for a living and I have no solution to this problem and neither does any Democrat telling you it can be fixed.

The average voter turnout in a presidential election between 2000 to 2016 was around 53% to 54%. The mainstream media alleged the 2020 voter turnout was about 60%... When in reality, the 2020 voter turnout was actually around 95%, which is a catastrophic indicator of a FRAUDULENT ELECTION. The reason the mainstream media is wrong is because they took the number of votes divided by the over 18 population, which does NOT equal voter turnout. If you take the number of votes reported in 2020 and divide by the over 18 population, 60% is higher than 53% to 54% average, but plausible. If you take the reported number of votes divided by the actual number of registered voters, you get around a reported 95%, which clearly shows that 2020 was a fraudulent election.

Utah 🇺🇸 A plan to create one of the world’s largest AI datacenters (40,000 acres), a gargantuan project spanning an area more than twice the size of Manhattan, has provoked a huge public backlash in Utah, amid concerns over its vast energy use and impact upon the state’s already stressed water supply. The facility will require about 9GW of power, which is more than the entire state of Utah currently consumes, and suck up a massive amount of water in an area that has been hit by severe drought in recent years. The network of industrial fans required to cool the data center will result in so much waste heat that it could raise daytime temperatures in the surrounding Hansel valley by 1.1C to 2.7C and night-time temperatures 4.4C to 6.6C, according to an analysis at Utah State University. Yet another example of profits over people. Net zero for us, but the exact opposite for the tech corporations.
