I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I appreciate any negative press that Arte Moreno gets. He’s earned all of it. I wish the national media would cover more of what’s going on with the Angels. I’m not saying it would make him sell, but it would at least bring more attention to how things are being run. Around baseball and the sports world, people should know how poorly this team has been run. I know profits matter, but winning should still be a priority. This fanbase is tired of losing and ready for change. I’ve been a fan since the mid 90s going to games with my dad, and I know others have been around much longer while some are newer. No matter how long you’ve been a fan, we all want the same thing, ownership that actually cares about winning and does what it takes to turn this around. Donald Trump did it yet again, for at least the third time. He grunted and groaned in a very awkward way to try and mock the transgender community, and in my opinion belittle women. In the video clips below you will see Trump mimicking a woman lifting very light weights (he says 1/2 an ounce on both sides of the bar). For context, in all of these videos Trump was comparing a woman lifting weights in a competition, to a transgender woman doing the same in defeating that women. The GOP has really gone full-on anti-trans as of late. Fact is transgender humans date back in history over 7,000 years (and possibly, if not likely, since the beginning of humanity). Transgender athletes have been in American sports for at least 48 years. This is nothing new. In my opinion the GOP just decided that now is a great time for them to use it as a political crutch. Most Democrats don't agree with gender reassignment surgeries for anyone under 18. Most Americans don't agree that just any transgender person should be able to play sports with the gender they identify as. It's much more complicated than that, and there shouldn't be blanket national or state bans that make them feel excluded from society. What are your thoughts?
