Jamal Shead talks to PaperCity Magazine about what it would mean to have four University of Houston players taken in next week's NBA Draft: "Our program is growing to heights it's never been to. To see four guys get drafted, that would be really big time for them of course. "But big time for our university." Four years ago in 2021, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji had advised to plant bamboos along the Narmada Canal in Gandhinagar. It was his farsightedness that he perceived bamboo plantation as an eco-friendly and cost-effective tool to prevent degradation of vacant land & support the local bamboo-based cottage industries. Acting on his advice, 10,000 saplings of ten bamboo species including Bambusa Tulda & Bambussa Polymorpha were planted along the 10 km stretch – 5 km on either side of Narmada Canal – in August 2021, while I served as Chairman Khadi Commission. Four years down the line, as I revisited the site today in August 2025, the fully-grown bamboos have reached a height of 25 to 30 feet and will be ready for the first harvest next year. These bamboos would not only provide raw material for agarbatti, furniture, kites, handicraft items and construction material etc, but also cut down the cost of bamboo procurement from far off places, enhancing the financial viability of the cottage industries. Thanks to Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi for his vision of supporting the cottage industries that form the backbone of India’s rural economy. It is indeed heartening and satisfying to see a humble initiative turning into a catalyst of socio-economic empowerment of its people. Also appreciate the forest department of Gujarat for taking utmost care of the bamboos and ensuring their survival.

Given the interest in these AXEL10/21 flights, I thought this might be useful to all you sleuths out there! I put together all flights for both jets from Sept 10 - Oct 30. (sidenote: Volume up for music👍) You will see not one coincidence, but two. I was first asked to look into AXEL10's flight near UVU right after Charlie's death, after a post by John Cullen 🐓 - and just today was told by Ana Escobar about the AXEL21 flight near the location of Tyler Robinson's arrest. You will see both locations highlighted in this video. Notably, AXEL10 dipped in the exact location two times on Sept 10th. Everywhere you see YELLOW in the flight track is either a landing at an airport or a deep dip, like what we saw Sept 10th, 3 miles from Charlie's tent. This serves two things for your assessment: it shows the volume of these dips (extremely common! A core element of the pilot training that is the apparent purpose of these jets) and 2: it shows the locations so you can see for yourself the spread of them around the country - and if any stick out to you - and of course if you discern the two highlighted passes to be a coincidence, or not. Happy sleuthing!

[Part 10] The side of Taehyung hyung's determination to never give up on his goal: Even with foot injury *the person received permissions to post* 👤In military bootcamp, there is something called a physical fitness test that is held every 2 weeks. The physical fitness test consists of 3 rounds, with the third round results being officially logged into the system. I am from a fitness background and so push ups and sit ups were very easy for me. But the running was a problem. The running category is for 3km. I got 2nd grade in the first round and 1st grade in the second round. To get Special Grade, you have to finish within 12 mins and 30 secs. For Elite Trainee eligibility, you must rank Grade 1 or above, which is below 13 mins and 20 secs. So although many people tried, most of them failed due to the running portion. Taehyungie hyung also kept getting Grade 2 in both the first and second rounds. He needed Grade 1, but his stamina but his stamina wasn't keeping up. That time he tols me, "I thought my stamina is great because I've been dancing for more than 10 years, but it hit me pretty hard to find it isn't like that." That's because Taehyungie hyung had a problem on his soles of his feet. There was even one time when his feet hurt so much that he couldn't keep running. However, in the final test even with his feet hurting so much, he managed to finish in Grade 1. So he said, whenever he ran, he could feel a shooting pain from his feet. So seeing him continue to run despite the pain in his feet was extremely impressive. (

FT Man United (Romero) 2 - 0 Spurs That’s now no wins in 2026 for us, but I’m not going to blame Frank for this defeat today. Let’s make no mistake about it now: we are very much involved in a potential relegation fight. We were playing very well for that first 30 mins until Romero, our captain, decided to hurt the club he’s meant to lead. That’s his 6th 🟥 for the club, and now he’s out for 4 games. I thought Vicario might have done a bit better with Mbuemo’s goal. He was slow to move his feet, and he got a hand to Bruno’s goal. For me, he’s just not good enough. Our injury crisis is absolutely outrageous. Destiny is now out yet again, with Frank forced to bring on Souza, who we were told isn’t a player for now until today. Everything positive going forward was coming from Xavi, but MVDV, Gallagher, Gray & Palhinha must be given credit as they battled well, constantly pressing to contain them. How did Oliver give Palhinha a yellow for a perfect tackle, then gave Frank one for complaining about it? Hate that ref. I can definitely see improvement in this team’s play, both offensively and defensively, and in the transitions despite the result and our injuries. Until their 81st-minute 2nd, we were still in the game. Looks like the United fan is finally getting a hair cut. #COYS 🤍💙

Dear Suvendu Adhikari , Kolkata Police My name is Neerajan Saha, a musician by profession and also the one man team in the College Street Kolkata YouTube channel where I have done podcasts with people like Dr. Swapan Dasgupta, Sanjeev Sanyal, Tapas Roy, Dr. Ashok Kumar Lahiri etc. This incident happened on 17th August,2025. I refused to pay Durga Pujo chanda to local TMC goons on principle that I won't contribute to their black money, and also because our refugee neighbourhood has had its own Durga Pujo since the 1950s when our ancestors first settled here after partition. They started their own fake Puja in the middle of an extremely busy road since 2011. After I refused, the local goonda (you can see him repeatedly attack the gate) gathered a crowd of about 60-70 by telling them I'd abused local former MLA, former minister Aroop Biswas and Mamata Banerjee. After the crowd gathered, this video happened. By the end of the video, you can see them breaking the gate down, dragging me out, after which the 98 no. Ward TMC Youth president (you can see him in the red and white striped t shirt) broke my thumb and pulled the phone away and kept it his pocket. Then they started beating me up, shoving me on the road, with the usual kicks and punches, and their female goons hit my head repeatedly with steel water bottles and helmets. When passersby tried to intervene, the TMC crowd threatened them away. My father arrived, he got abused, threatened, heckled, and pushed around. Elderly uncles from the neighbourhood, you can see in the video, also showed up to help me and were shoved away. Finally, the police showed up, and after about another 15 minutes of watching (I got beaten for about 40 minutes), they "rescued" me to the local police station, which is 350m away from my home. The video starts about 10 -15 minutes after I refused the chanda. After this, they filed a fake molestation case against me. Accuser and witness were both among the attackers. I request you to try and stop this harrasment against me. I have spent lakhs of rupees already fighting and pursuing this case. Let me walk you through what's actually happening in this market... Private credit has ballooned to over $2T in assets. For years, it was the domain of sophisticated institutional investors - pension funds, endowments, insurance companies. These investors have teams of analysts, lawyers, and risk managers to evaluate complex deals. Your average 401k participant doesn't have any of that. And the timing couldn't be worse. The IMF's 2025 Financial Stability Report found that 40% of private credit borrowers now have NEGATIVE free cash flow. That's up from 25% in 2021. Goldman Sachs data shows 15% of borrowers can no longer generate enough cash to fully cover their interest payments. UBS forecasts that private credit defaults could climb by 3 percentage points in 2026 - outpacing leveraged loans and high-yield bonds. Meanwhile, payment-in-kind loans - where struggling borrowers defer interest by adding it to their debt balance - have surged from 7.4% in 2021 to over 11% today. When a company can't pay interest in cash, that's not a sign of health. It's a sign of stress being disguised. Then came September's wake-up call: Auto parts maker First Brands collapsed with $8B in off-balance-sheet financing that wasn't properly disclosed to lenders. Short Post: #SEBI report on trading losses in India Why is everyone trying to educate traders when 10% of them still make money? Consider this: 14 lac apply for Civil services exam in India for 800 seats, success rate of 0.05%. We see lacs of students wasting precious years in their 20s doing nothing but - prepare for #IAS . Why does the Nation celebrate such youth who’re chasing govt. jobs. Success rate for such jobs is 0.5% at best. What a waste of productive years. Who educates them? However, when it comes to the youth who is trading in F&O in stocks, the success rate is 10%. This is a good enough probability. If the trader can learn better skills, the success could improve to 30% plus. Why does the nation look at them with contempt ? In a nation with limited avenues, these young ones are chasing every opportunity they get. And unlike others, this one doesn’t need degrees. Who’s the bigger gambler here? Who needs more regulation - those “aspiring” for Sarkari jobs OR the self-employed youth who trades on the side with their savings? Let’s try to look at the market traders with some respect. They just need a fair playing field. They don’t need throttling regulation which usually kills the small guy. Many interpret #SEBI report to indicate that these traders are ignorant and they need “education”. The truth may be entirely the opposite. A trader is fine losing 1 lac annually as it still allows him to dream of a bigger pay day when stars collude in his favour. On the other hand, Rs 1 lac when invested grows too slow for his dreams. He knows the trade-offs. Let’s stop assuming that these traders are ignorant. Finally, the action on #JaneStreetGroup was easy to predict. Most will clap this as a masterstroke. But the problem in India is a shallow, one sided cash market driven by flows & the most frothy F&O market globally, largely due to poor design. You still can’t effectively short sell in India while the stocks rise to astronomical levels. Jane street could have lost big time had there been enough cash buyers or the options market was better designed. Or if short selling was permitted with full efficiency. The solution was to encourage many such bigger foreign players to create a balance and depth of trades on both sides. Also let the domestic funds play with more freedom. But that’s a solution for free markets. In a market where good regulation means more regulation, a further tightening is the only expected outcome. And that’s what we got. The value of traders in Bank Nifty options to cash market was 400:1. This is too much skew that needed regulatory design fix, within the free market principles. SEBI has done the opposite – ban the foreign player. The market now is less free & more skewed. All the basic flaws still persist. The bigger fish will still have the larger profit pool in trading , just they will all be the domestic players now. That’s not a surprise. The small trader will still be on the losing side.
