🚀 Every ballistic capability starts with a demonstration. Discover for the first time the firing video of the ballistic munition FLP-t developed by ArianeGroup and Thales Group! The successful test in May with the support from the Missile Testing Division of the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA) confirmed much more than the performance of a new rocket that represents the upper echelon of artillery systems with a range of 150 km. It marked a first building block for a new conventional ballistic strike capability that addresses a broad range of operational requirements in an evolving strategic context. Developed in less than 18 months for the versatile and interoperable Thales X-Fire launcher, the rocket munition validated ArianeGroup's ability to rapidly design, build and fly a new sovereign ballistic system while demonstrating the accuracy and reliability of its technologies The test has underscored both ArianeGroup’s ability to master the physics of long range flights with high altitude ballistic trajectories and our industrial expertise, paving the way for the B-Strike line-up that encompasses ballistic missiles ranging up to 2500 km. At ArianeGroup, this is how we build our vision for sovereign deep-strike capabilities. #RocketMakers #Defence #BStrikeLineUp

🇫🇷 French Army and Thales Defence have successfully completed the demonstration and evaluation campaign of the 120MC (120mm mortar carrier) system at Camp Canjuers. Thales Defence Thales Group During the trials, the system fired 50 rounds, demonstrating its accuracy, safety, and rapid deployment. 120MC, also called Viper, is jointly developed by Thales; Dutch specialist vehicle developer, Defenture B.V.; and Spanish defense and security company, Escribano Mechanical and Engineering (EM&E) Group. The Viper 120 system features Escribano's EMOC mortar system, equipped with Thales 120mm rifled mortar barrel, integrated onto a Defenture GRF Vector 4x4 light tactical vehicle. EM&E Group The system uses the same barrel as the French Army's MO-120 RT (rayé tracté, rifled towed) heavy mortar and offers equivalent performance, while also providing greater mobility and responsiveness through its integration onto a 4x4 light vehicle. This intermediate solution complements Thales' 120mm towed mortar system and the 2R2M/MEPAC system based on the larger VBMR Griffon 6x6 vehicle. This new system will strengthen the French Army's mobile and reactive fire support capabilities in high-intensity environments. Video credit: Thales Defence Image credit: Defenture B.V.

India has successfully tested the Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile off the coast of Odisha, adding a formidable new capability to its defence arsenal. 🇮🇳🚀 Capable of striking targets over 1,500 km away while flying just a few metres above the ground, the missile is designed to evade radar detection and deliver precision strikes deep into enemy territory. Developed under DRDO’s Nirbhay programme, this achievement comes after years of technological challenges, perseverance, and indigenous innovation. It also places India among a select group of nations with indigenous subsonic cruise missile capability. Watch this report. ⬇️ #12YearsOfSurakshitBharat

JUST IN: 🇺🇸🇯🇵🇨🇳 America just brought its devastating Tomahawk missile to China's doorstep Japan has released dramatic footage of its Tomahawk cruise missile test, marking a historic expansion of its long range strike capability. With a range of up to 1,600 km (1,000 miles), the combat proven Tomahawk can reach strategic military targets far beyond Japan's coastline, putting large portions of China's eastern military infrastructure within potential strike range. Flying at low altitude to evade enemy defenses before delivering precision strikes, the Tomahawk has been used extensively by the U.S. military in major conflicts around the world. For decades, Japan relied primarily on defensive weapons. Today, that is changing. This is more than a missile test, it's a strategic message that could reshape the military balance across the Indo Pacific.
