These are Sokoto State indigenes calling on the Governor of Sokoto State to come to their rescue after spending one month undergoing army screening in Sokoto. They were later taken to Oshogbo, a place where they know no one. Six to seven of them were abandoned at the gate, with no place to sleep and no money to buy food. They are appealing to the Governor of Sokoto State and members of his cabinet to urgently intervene and rescue them, as those responsible for their situation have already abandoned them.

Charming footage of Fenchurch Street Station during the days that "slam-door" trains were still around. Many today will still remember using these old vintage carriages and their manually operated, outward-opening, hinged doors that they had to open and shut themselves. Due to obvious safety hazards, be they on platforms or on the move, they were largely phased out by November 2005. The final heritage branch line service running between Lymington and Brockenhurst in Hampshire ran until May 2010. If one had been stood on the platform, you'd better remember to stand back. I'll also note how presentable the trains and commuters are in this footage. They seem to compliment each other. 🚂⏳

"They oppressed us so much." Three Muslim men on vacation in Sydney describe how they were arrested and detained by armed Australian police simply for driving in the direction of Bondi Beach. The men, as well as four other Muslims, were held for 27 hours before being released without charge. Police also confiscated their personal belongings and vehicle, which was rammed during the arrest. Australian Muslims are telling 5Pillars that they are being collectively targeted just so that the authorities can send a signal to the public that "they are doing something" to counter terrorism.
