The state's three rivers are in spate after heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Punjab itself. ~ Over 𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 submerged. ~ Nearly 𝟯 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗵 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 destroyed in minutes. In this hour of crisis, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝘆, 𝗔𝗶𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲, 𝗕𝗦𝗙, 𝗡𝗗𝗥𝗙, 𝗦𝗗𝗥𝗙, and police are working tirelessly to save lives. Their courage deserves appreciation. It is just that, the 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗱 are bearing the brunt right now and 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 are able to afford negligence. Ashutosh Sharma gave 6 years of his life just to enter the Army. He faced rejection 13 times. Imagine the resilience it takes to cry in your brother's arms after a failure, only to wake up the next morning and say, "𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲." 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 This is the part that broke me. He was the CO; he could have commanded from the back. But he knew civilians were trapped. So, the man who waited 13 attempts to join the Army didn't hesitate for 1 second to risk it all. He went into Close Quarter Battle to save strangers. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 The civilians came out alive. The terrorists were killed. But the radio went silent. The "Tiger" never responded. He returned to Jaipur not for the housewarming he promised, but draped in the Tricolour. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 When his wife, Pallavi, received his flag, she refused to let relatives refold it. "No. Don't open it. It has his smell. Leave it like that." I’ve written many tributes. But this one... this one hits different. He fought to get in. He fought to save others. And he left us with a debt we can never repay. ❤️ At the hour of my death, when I’m about to stand before Almighty God… If I could choose only one person to pray for me, it would be the Blessed Virgin Mary because she is closest to her Son. This beautiful teaching shows why: The Angel Gabriel did not say “Hi, Mary.” He greeted her with the royal salutation reserved for nobility: “Hail, full of grace!” (Lk 1:28) Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!” (Lk 1:42) The entire first half of the Hail Mary is Sacred Scripture, word for word. And the second half: “Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death” is the Church’s confident cry to the Queen of Heaven and our tender Mother. Who else would you want interceding for your soul in that moment? 👉🏽Pray the Rosary today. 👉🏽Trust Our Lady. 👉🏽She never abandons her children.

Then she entered the Catholic Church and found out something shocking. 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀. 𝗔𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹. They just worship God, go to mass, go to confession, and mind their own business. Meanwhile 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 they claim is not Christian. She also learned another truth. Catholics do not church shop. Worship is not a TED talk. Mass is a sacrifice. You do not pick a parish because you want stage lights or a good feeling. You go to receive the real Body of Christ. And the one that stunned her most. Catholics are taught that many Protestants will be saved. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁. As we say goodbye to the Royal Iris of the Mersey, our thoughts turn to the original 'Grand Lady' still sitting on the Thames. It’s heartbreaking to see her derelict, but her spirit lives on in the thousands of memories she gave to the people of Liverpool and Wirral.
