Connor, you're an intelligent man, and I don't believe you don't understand Lowe's views on this. Here he refuses entirely to differentiate between Canadian and Nigerian immigration. It would have been so easy to say here that Canadians would be better, because they're "easier to integrate". He didn't say that, because that's not what he believes. If that is what Lowe believes, then your only argument for Restore is that you and your friends - who obviously do not agree with your leader - are actually running the show. I think that is your argument, and I don't find it persuasive. We've had our disagreements with you at PJ, but you could have been a positive force in Reform. You lost that chance when you got involved with Lowe, perhaps wrongly, but since then your goals have been the same as Lowe's - to build something that you can be part of, rather than something that can win. At least be honest and admit that the value you see in Restore is not in Lowe, who is quite clearly a straightforward Libertarian Conservative and Civic Nationalist - and stop trying to pretend he's something other than that.

This happened at Cooperstown Dreams Park in Hartwick, New York. Hundreds of kids/players shouting “Let us play!” were protesting because their tournament games and experience were cancelled. Get this, they do not offer refunds for games that cannot be played. 😳 Cooperstown Dreams Park prides itself in getting all the games played and they do brag about playing rain or shine. In their opening speech they say they will play rain or shine even if games are in the wee hours of the night. There are countless stories of teams playing in the rain at 1am, 2am, 3am in the morning. There are usually 100 teams or more from around the country and sometimes internationally. Each player and coach pays between $1,800 - $2,000 for the overall tournament package, which includes accommodations, meals, gear, and the tournament itself. Of course travel expenses are not included. They cannot postpone the games because each week throughout the summer a new tournament starts. Many people said that is a ridiculous amount of money to pay just to win a tournament. The tournament usually takes in $2.5 million to $3 million dollars in gross revenue per tournament. 🤯 But former players, coaches and parents will tell you it has nothing to do with winning but it is about the experience of playing there. It’s a special place to play and experience baseball. Sounds like they dropped the ball on this one. I say let the kids play or refund them a prorated amount. Worried about weather or injuries? Have the parents sign a waiver. 💯 What would you do if you paid all that money to play (I know some will say they wouldn’t pay that money) and your kid’s tournament was cancelled? What can you do if it is stipulated that there are no refunds? 🤷‍♂️

.Elon Musk: Generally, you want education to be as close to a video game as possible, like a good video game. You do not need to tell your kid to play video games. They will play video games on autopilot all day. So if you can make it interactive and engaging, then you can make education far more compelling and far easier to do. You really want to disconnect the whole grade level thing from the subjects and allow people to progress at the fastest pace that they can or are interested in, in each subject. It seems like a really obvious thing. Most teaching today is a lot like vaudeville, and as a result, it's just not that compelling. It's like somebody standing up there and lecturing to you, and they've done the same lecture several years in a row. They're not necessarily all that engaged in doing it. A university education is often unnecessary. That's not to say it's unnecessary for all people, but I think you probably learn about as much in the first two years. Most of it is from your classmates. For a lot of companies, they do want to see the completion of the degree because they're looking for someone who's going to persevere and see it through to the end. And that's actually what's important to them. So it really depends on what somebody's goal is. If the goal is to start a company, I would say there's no point in finishing college.

Now I know you’re probably thinking: ‘That’s a really dumb idea because if you poll 1,000 people who are successful, they’ll all say they love what they do. And so the broad conclusion of the world is that if you do what you love, then you’ll be successful.’ But we’re engineers, so we know that might be true. It also might be the case that if you’re successful, you love what you do — you just love being successful, everybody loves you, it’s awesome. So which one is it?” He continues: “The first tricky thing about passions is they’re hard to prioritize. Are you more passionate about math or engineering? Are you more passionate about history or literature? Are you more passionate about video games or K-pop? These are tough decisions. How do you even know? On the other hand, what are you good at? Are you better at math or writing? That’s a much easier thing to figure out. The second thing that’s tricky if you’re going forward in time with this ‘follow your passion’ idea is that what you’re passionate about at 21 is not necessarily what you’re going to be passionate about at 40. Now this is true for boyfriends, as well as career choices. The third issue with following your passion is that you’re not necessarily good at your passion. Has anybody ever watched American Idol? So you know what I’m talking about. Just because you love singing doesn’t mean you should be a professional singer. And then finally, and most importantly, following your passion is a very ‘me-centered’ view of the world. And when you go through life, what you’ll find is that what you take out of the world — money, cars, stuff, accolades — is much less important than what you put into the world.
