Thank you for the kind words and for the thoughtful question! DownSouth is being created in Clickteam Fusion 2.5. Perhaps a more "unconventional choice", (I hear GameMaker and Unity are popular,) but a great program with lots of potential for making great games nonetheless.

This looks very rayman origins/legends inspired, even the up attack looks similar to globox's, this game is gonna be peak..,.,,

This looks awesome! I'm sure this game will be seen as another great Wario-like next to Pizza Tower and Antonblast when it's done, in aesthetic if not in gameplay! Is there a known plot for it rn?

Thank you so much! Funnily enough it's not a Wario-like at all, it's more comparable to games like Rayman Origins/Legends. Overall though, it's a platformer RPG where your choices affect your sanity and your sanity affects how you play. So the lore runs VERY deep...
