With regard to the alleged drunken brawl and uncouth behaviour of an Army Officer and his fiancée in Bhubaneswar, Gen (Retd) V K Singh, former COAS and ex-Union Minister, in his post used highly inappropriate language castigating Police in general and Odisha Police in particular. When I called him out, several retired Army Officers responded with uncivilized and irrelevant comments. Later, I wrote to Defence Minister suggesting to court-martial and punish the Army Officer involved and Lt. Gen. PS Shekhawat for conduct unbecoming of soldiers and committing grave offences under sections 21(c), 45, 48 and other relevant provisions of the Army Act, 1950. It is eliciting a lot uncouth and loutish online behaviour which only the scum of the society, not the “disciplined” Army Officers indulge in. They are calling the Indian Police all sorts of names. They are also personally attacking me by sharing ad nauseum some trash of old pieces of yellow journalism with false and motivated allegations against me which I had countered by issuing a signed rejoinder way back in 2018, that is two years before I retired on superannuation in 2020. As my conscience is crystal clear, I care a foot for all that yellow journalism trash. The old adage, “when the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser” is so apt for the conduct of these philistines. Even in my first post I had made it amply clear that my response is not to make it Army vs Police but to put facts of the case which none was discussing. It was about seeking truth as there are innocent lives at stake. Everyone including the 5 police officers suspended even before conducting enquiry, deserves justice in a nation whose motto is "satyamev jayate". I respect our Army not necessarily because it is the best, but because it is the last line of defence against our external enemies. While the Army Officers are generally disciplined and well-behaved when they are in their units, a few of them become unruly when freed on leave or otherwise and sometimes they even try to overawe and boss over the local police officials. Police officers generally ignore it by being indulgent to them. But things get stormy when their behaviour become outrightly criminal. But why do they behave like that? Pakistan Army has been ruling Pakistan for much of its existence. Therefore, our Army Officers seem to suffer from a syndrome that is best captured by the Onida TV tagline, “neighbour's envy, owner's pride”, leading to a combination of false sense of entitlement, deprivation and victimhood. As a result, they nurture utter contempt for civil authority, and a few of them indulge in boorishness. While propagandizing themselves as holier-than-thou, they invent all sorts of false victimhood stories to rally against the civil authority. Their false propaganda feeds to👇this kind of caricaturing of all except Army. Since they have been calling the Indian Police all sorts of names, I too can retort back with facts about Army and loss of Indian territory to China, Kargil, etc. But once again, my objective is not to show our Army in poor light or to make it Army Vs Police. Therefore, in spite of extreme provocation I won't venture into those thorny trails. I also, exhort all Army Officers, both serving and retired, to reflect on their performance rather than indulging in bashing of civil authority especially the Police, and work to protect every inch of our territory, and save Hindus who have been facing genocidal attacks in Jammu & Kashmir, in Manipur and elsewhere. Finally, I also appeal to them that we must have mutual respect individually and for our organisations as we are all one with different functions and our work should always complement and promote our national interest. If there are any aberrations let us resolve them amicably by avoiding public spats, acrimony and rancour.

Indian Army Intensifies Winter Operations in Kishtwar and Doda to Flush Out Pakistani Terrorists As the bone-chilling winter descends upon the Himalayas and the 40-day period of Chillai Kalan grips Jammu & Kashmir, sources in the defence establishment have said that the Indian Army has intensified its counter-terrorism operations across the Kishtwar and Doda districts. Undeterred by freezing temperatures, treacherous terrain, and heavy snowfall, Army units have expanded their operational reach into higher and snowbound areas to pursue and neutralise Pakistani terrorists attempting to exploit the harsh season for concealment. Traditionally, the onset of Chillai Kalan; the harshest phase of Kashmir’s winter spanning from December 21 to January 31 ushers in a temporary lull in terrorist activities, as communication routes close and heavy snowfall isolates mountain regions. However, this winter has marked a decisive shift in the operational approach of the Indian Army and other security forces. Instead of reducing activities, sources have said that the Army has adopted a proactive winter posture, establishing temporary bases and surveillance posts deep within snow-covered areas to maintain unbroken pressure on possible terrorist hideouts. Operating in sub-zero temperatures with limited visibility, Army patrols have been regularly traversing high-altitude ridgelines, valleys, and forested areas to deny terrorists any sanctuary. The shift according to experts signifies an evolution in counter-terrorism tactics, underlining both the Army’s adaptability and its resolve to maintain operational momentum irrespective of the season or terrain. A defining feature of this year’s counter-terror strategy has been the integrated approach to operations. The Indian Army is leading a synchronised effort involving multiple security and law enforcement agencies, including the Civil Administration, Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Special Operations Group (SOG), Forest Guards, and Village Defence Guards (VDGs). This inter-agency cooperation ensures seamless sharing of intelligence, resource optimisation & sharper operational execution. I finished watching the House hearing on Sudan. Ken Isaacs a Humanitarian from Samaritans purse offered a valuable and highly factual assessment of the situation in Sudan and while I didn’t agree with some of Cameron Hudson’s end conclusions I don’t doubt his integrity or intentions. However, as usual Kholood Khair used her platform to push the Taqqadum narrative on this war that is completely divorced from reality and by default shields the RSF. Firstly the claim that this is a counter revolutionary war is nonsensical. The revolution ended in 2019 when the military leadership, Taqqadum and the RSF agreed to share power and RSF militiamen were sent in the next day to remove sit-in protestors massacring them in the process. This war started simply because the RSF militia rejected Army pressure to have their force dissolved. And with UAE financial backing and political backing from Taqqadum (who are jaded after the Army ousted them from their power sharing deal in 2021) a plan was set in motion to takeover the Sudanese State. With the RSF first attempting to neutralise the Sudanese Airforce at Meroe before launching a full scale attempt to takeover the Capital Khartoum and by extension the Sudanese State on April 15th 2023. An attack that the Army failed to prepare for due to serious military failings. Taqqadum and their affiliates however want you to believe that this war was started by shadowy remnants of Bashir’s ousted regime who wanted to suppress a revolution that had already been suppressed 4 years ago, against (non Islamist) Burhan led rule. This false narrative is ridiculous and implausible, for one these revolutionaries that this war is supposedly really against have volunteered in their thousands to fight this genocidal militia. These false narratives are only able thrive because in Western spaces the only Sudanese allowed a voice are those belonging to Taqqadum and their affiliates. The truth is Sudanese do not view the Army and the RSF as being remotely similar and there are a thousand and one clips that I can share that would attest to that. The Ukrainian forces seems to have wiped out a quarter of the Russian forces on the Southern front, according to the in the future infamous Zaporozhye Alex (ArmedMaidan). But it's no wonder everything are going so badly for the Russians this week since, according to Zaporozhye Alex, the Russian army became combat incapable already in March after suffering losses of 665 000 men then, probably a million lost now. If you doubt me you can read it in the Kyiv Post, so it must be the truth. Sorry but I couldn't take this seriously. But if many on the Ukrainian side believe this kind of rubbish, that could explain much this week.

No great size or mobility gifts… but what he did have- was the heart of a Lion. And that determination and discipline led to some great gains in his first year at PVS. He had a goal of 90 mph on the mound at PBR in Feb of 2023. He came up short in a memorable display of determination : 88 mph @PBRPennsylvania He dusted himself off and put his efforts into pitch design and command. He became one of the WPIAL’s best pitchers in the toughest baseball section. After that- he went to the Youngstown Class B summer league and pitched well there and committed to UPJ. After his commitment - we sat down and devised a plan. A plan most kids don’t have the patience to execute. It was rooted in Alan Jaeger Jaeger Sports principles of Weening off volume and building two weeks for every down week. We are talking 5 months folks. Throw by throw execution for five months. Five months. Along the way- we built him up using several Randy Sullivan MPT, CSCS concepts as well as tried and tested in house methods. Today was his first “Go day”. And he hit that 90. His boys were as pumped for him as they would have been for themselves. Our plan has just begun - More lay ahead.
