![Remember watching Malgudi Days on television and getting lost in its world? The man behind so many unforgettable moments, Anant Nag, has now received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2024. But his journey to this honour began long before Malgudi Days. While working at Union Bank of India, he was also performing theatre in Mumbai. He had acted in Konkani, Kannada, Marathi and Hindi plays before making acting his career. That decision took him from films like Ankur and Nishant to Malgudi Days, and decades later, KGF. Across 300+ films and five decades, his natural style made his characters feel less like performances and more like people we knew. Now, the familiar face many of us grew up watching on television has received one of Indian cinema’s most prestigious honours. Congratulations, Anant Nag! #AnantNag #MalgudiDays #DadasahebPhalkeAward #NationalFilmAwards [Anant Nag Dadasaheb Phalke Award At 72nd National Film Awards]](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2102783000589320663/amplify_video_thumb/2102782973900902401/img/CsHIIoZRvjYN95NL.jpg)
