Carved out an every day role as a Freshman and collected 18 XBH with 43 RBIs, but had a breakout summer on the Cape to the tune of a .327/.426/.376 slash line with 13 RBIs in 29 games. Carried that momentum over into last season where he hit .335/.402/.471 with 14 2B, 5 HRs, 54 RBIs and 28 SB. Earned an invitation to Team USA, but had a strong 15-game stint on the Cape and hit .321/.361/.536 with 6 2B, 2 HRs and 9 RBIs. Strong, athletic build at 5'11" and 193-lbs with plenty of natural strength. Stands fairly tall in the box with his knees slightly bent and a tight base with a slightly open front side. Austin has lowered his handset a bit since last spring, and he now has more of a medium-high handset. Barrel tip in his load is accompanied by his hands drifting. High leg kick leads into a rather lengthy stride. Quick hands and easy plus bat speed. Athletic look, rotates well. Austin's hit tool has taken positive strides since the start of his college career, and last year he posted an overall contact rate of 82% and an IZ contact rate of 91% (including 94% against FB). Present feel for the barrel. Approach and swing decisions still need some fine-tuning, and Austin is susceptible to FBs in the top and outer-1/3 as well as secondaries down-and-away. Very pull-oriented approach. Would give it a 50, probably closer to a 55 than a 50. Austin's also a strong kid with more impact in the tank than his 12 career HRs might suggest. All of his HR power has come to the pull side, but he needs to get the ball up in the air more. Posted a Max EV of 110 last spring. There are some ingredients to work with here, but has to lift the baseball on a more regular basis. Power plays as a 45 in-game. Has had limited experience in the OF to this point, but will roam CF this spring for Vanderbilt. Got a fair amount of run out there this summer on the Cape. Austin's speed and athleticism both translate to the positionโ€”he can go and get itโ€”but the reads and route running will need refinement. Fringe-average arm. I'm curious to see the progress over the course of the season. I alluded to it, but Austin is a plus runner and an effective base-stealer. Twitchy. 2nd-3rd round type for me this July. Tesla Model YL impressed the heck out of me! Iโ€™ve seen all the reviews and noticed many of the same things, so I wonโ€™t repeat what others have said, but I want to highlight stuff I havenโ€™t seen many/any people talk about! TL;DR: passenger space is plentiful and not an issue, best model Tesla sells. Game changer for families. Passenger space/comfort I am 6โ€™2 and can comfortably fit in all 3 rows even when adjusting them all to fit me-sized humans! Leg room is 100% not an issue. The only catch is 3rd row headroom. In a proper seating position, my head hit the glass. However, another guy who was 6โ€™0 sat back there and was totally fine, so torso length matters! Even for me, a lil slouch or scooting my butt forward and it was totally fine. 6 adults can easily and comfortably fit in YL for sure. The thigh supports in the front row do absolutely nothing for anyone taller than probably 5โ€™8. Very underwhelming. The captainโ€™s chairs recline REALLY far, almost laying down, combined with the heated AND air conditioned seats and the first two rows are positively luxurious. Arm rests are also great and very sturdy. They come up high enough to still be comfy even for a tall guy like me. Tons of rear vents, air flow was really good and consistent throughout. Trunk space The sub-trunk cover magnetically attaching to the 3rd row seat-back is a great way to claw back some of the lost space when the 3rd row is up. Makes it very usable. Also, people have criticized the bump when the 3rd row is down, but thereโ€™s a pair of little folding arms (4th pic) that pops up and makes it totally flat. Great design! Head rests They are adjustable up and down via a mechanical button that you press and hold and just lift/lower the headrest by hand. (3rd video) Pretty decent amount of travel, and a huge improvement! These are on the 1st row AND the captainโ€™s chairs! Camping I had a quick chance to fold all the seats down and climb in on my belly and close the trunk, and this is a huge improvement over the normal Y. I had TONS of room, my toes werenโ€™t touching the trunk and my head wasnโ€™t touching the front seat, not even close! And that was without moving the front seats at all! I sleep in our 2023 Y all the time and itโ€™s great, but itโ€™s only barely enough room and only with the front seats allllll the way forward. Also, the 4 extra vents in the rear cabin will be huge for air flow, which is somewhat of a problem in other Ys. Zen Grey Interior Iโ€™m a big proponent of Teslaโ€™s white interior, and I like the Zen Grey! Definitely not stark white, but itโ€™s still very light and looks phenomenal. Doesnโ€™t look dingy at all. If youโ€™re a white interior enthusiast like me, youโ€™ll love Zen Grey too. General observations The showroom was PACKED with people and everyone was there for YL! I talked to a lot of people and let me tell you, families are super excited about YL! It was fun to watch everyoneโ€™s reaction as they climbed in the 3rd row and were shocked how usable it is.

Today, weโ€™re announcing Kosmos, our newest AI Scientist, available to use now. Users estimate Kosmos does 6 months of work in a single day. One run can read 1,500 papers and write 42,000 lines of code. At least 79% of its findings are reproducible. Kosmos has made 7 discoveries so far, which we are releasing today, in areas ranging from neuroscience to material science and clinical genetics, in collaboration with our academic beta testers. Three of these discoveries reproduced unpublished findings; four are net new, validated contributions to the scientific literature. AI-accelerated science is here. Our core innovation in Kosmos is the use of a structured, continuously-updated world model. As described in our technical report, Kosmosโ€™ world model allows it to process orders of magnitude more information than could fit into the context of even the longest-context language models, allowing it to synthesize more information and pursue coherent goals over longer time horizons than Robin or any of our other prior agents. In this respect, we believe Kosmos is the most compute-intensive language agent released so far in any field, and by far the most capable AI Scientist available today. The use of a persistent world model also enables single Kosmos trajectories to produce highly complex outputs that require multiple significant logical leaps. As with all of our systems, Kosmos is designed with transparency and verifiability in mind: every conclusion in a Kosmos report can be traced through our platform to the specific lines of code or the specific passages in the scientific literature that inspired it, ensuring that Kosmosโ€™ findings are fully auditable at all times. Firstly, Kosmos is different from many other AI tools you might have played with, including our other agents. It is more similar to a Deep Research tool than it is to a chatbot: it takes some time to figure out how to prompt it effectively, and we have tried to include guidelines on this to help (see below). It costs $200/run right now (200 credits per run, and $1/credit), with some free tier usage for academics. This is heavily discounted; people who sign up for Founding Subscriptions now can lock in the $1/credit price indefinitely, but the price ultimately will probably be higher. Again, this is less chatbot and more research tool, something you run on high-value targets as needed. Some caveats are also warranted. Firstly, we find that 80% of Kosmos findings are reproducible, which also means 20% are not -- some things it says will be wrong. Also, Kosmos certainly does produce outputs that are the equivalent to several months of human labor, but it also often goes down rabbit holes or chases statistically significant yet scientifically irrelevant findings. We often run Kosmos multiple times on the same objective in order to sample the various research avenues it can take. There are still a bunch of rough edges on the UI and such, which we are working on. Finally, we are aware that the 6 month figure is much greater than estimates by other AI labs, like METR, about the length of tasks that AI Agents can currently perform. Mise ร‰ire Festival Sells Out Amid High Demand The inaugural #Miseร‰ireFestival is taking place at a private venue on August 23rd, 2025, adjacent to Castlebar, Co. Mayo, from 2 pm to 11 pm. The exact location will be revealed prior to the event. Fuelled by overwhelming demand, additional online tickets for Mise ร‰ire Festival 2025 sold out in days. A limited number of on-site tickets will be available at the gate. This will be a family friendly celebration of our beautiful Ireland focusing on its rich cultural tapestry. There will be a variety of live music, talks and workshops including language classes As Gaeilge. Anyone and everyone who wants to celebrate what makes Ireland so wonderful is welcome. This event will take place at the end of the 2025 National Heritage week. The theme of this yearโ€™s heritage week is โ€œExploring Our Foundationsโ€ to appreciate the roots and building blocks of Irelandโ€™s traditions and heritage. This has included persistent online harassment and threats toward the Mise ร‰ire Festival organisers, speakers and venue employees. Shocking illustrations reminiscent of 19th century British anti Irish propaganda have been disseminated depicting Mise ร‰ire Festival organisers as Nazis, and one illustration depicted the original venueโ€™s chairperson with a grenade in his mouth and bombs strapped to his body. In a live radio interview, one individual propagated several completely false and incendiary assertions which have led to an onslaught of abuse and we believe our safety and that of our families has been compromised. That particular radio station has aired two unreserved public apologies. The individual involved, along with others, spent several days in Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim, handing out leaflets in which we were named and defamed. One person involved in this hate campaign has been convicted of assault for throwing a curry powder laced milkshake in the eyes of two individuals, in an unprovoked and premeditated attack. This case has been documented in the media. Despite this, prominent national radio stations have platformed her untrue accusations about Mise ร‰ire Festival and the organisers. Regrettably, they, along with some media publications, ran with these baseless assertions and most did not attempt to contact us or offer a right of reply. Similarly,, some political party County Councillors acted in bad faith, condemning us and Mise ร‰ire Festival wholesale without attempting to reach out. It is disappointing that these councillors, media outlets and the 600 people who are alleged to have signed an open letter, including #Kneecap and #ChristyMoore, have failed to act responsibly and perform their due diligence, but have instead taken as fact our festival is something other than an Irish music and cultural event. In doing so they have aligned themselves with those who are now being investigated by An Garda Sรญochรกna. Furthermore, it is our belief that what was privately sent to the signatories is vastly different to the purported open letter which is too brief and vague to have garnered the support it has allegedly received. We are seeking legal opinion on this matter. Our event is not and was never intended to be political in nature, however these radical left wing activists, media, high profile artists and politicians tried to make it so by engaging in a cancel culture witch hunt whereby they attempted to clamp down on free speech while hypocritically championing Kneecapโ€™s right to same. The ringleaders who spearheaded this relentless campaign have sabotaged dozens of other events across the country, costing one event organiser 70,000 euro as a result. A file has been sent to the Department of Public Prosecutions in that case. Their modus operandi is to illegally blackmail vendors and venue owners into cancelling. These individuals feel they get to decide what law abiding adults in Ireland get to say, do or think and they appear to feel entitled to shut down events, political or otherwise, because they personally disagree with the legally expressed views of others, even if a large proportion of the public hold such views. In this case they have targeted Stephen Kerr and his partner Susanne Delaney because their platform The Irish Inquiry (with 220,000 followers) frequently covers topical issues relating to the asylum industry. It is the belief of Mr Kerr and Ms Delaney that mass uncontrolled immigration (as opposed to controlled sensible immigration) is a pressing issue in Ireland for natives and immigrants alike. They find it morally objectionable that IPAS centre owners are allowed to commodify asylum seekers and refugees, thereby making profits from placing them in institutionalised settings that contravene basic human rights, under the guise of humanitarian duty. Mr Kerr and Ms Delaney have frequently highlighted unsuitable conditions in IPAS centre and these instances are documented and publicly available, however, it is important to state that the Mise ร‰ire Festival and The Irish Inquiry are two separate endeavours. His signature performance, of course, was the 2023 Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2000 Guineas), run on rain-affected, very unusual ground. He came from well off the pace and mowed them all down in one sweeping run. It was a spectacular victory achieved while he still looked physically immature, the kind of win that made you expect much more to come. Sadly, that turned out to be the last time he ever got his head in front. Chronic issues in his back and loin area surfaced, and from that point on he was never able to show his true potential. For a horse who always looked like a late bloomer, itโ€™s a real shame we never got to see his genuine peak. His dam Skia is a mare steeped in European blood. She won the Prix Fille de lโ€™Air (G3), and her progeny have been high-class too: Vin de Garde, for instance, finished second and third in the Dubai Turf (G1). Physically, Sol Oriens is a small horse who looks nothing like his sire, Kitasan Black, at all โ€“ and to me, that is exactly where his value lies. The conventional way of thinking is that if a colt is good enough to become a stallion, then resembling his sire is a positive. That may be true for the first generation โ€“ but by the time you get to the grandchildren, itโ€™s not necessarily a good thing. Out of roughly 8,000 foals in a crop, only a tiny handful will ever win a G1. As a group, those few are biological โ€œoutliersโ€ rather than the norm. Soon weโ€™ll be living in a world with Kitasan Black blood everywhere. Horses that โ€œlook like Kitasan Blackโ€ will no longer be individuals; theyโ€™ll be a type. In that kind of environment, which horses actually break through the ceiling? Kitasan Black himself is an outstanding stallion, but to surpass him you need to reach a dimension beyond what he alone can provide. To go beyond Kitasan Black, you donโ€™t just need Kitasan Black โ€“ you need the power of the dam side as well. Thatโ€™s one of the reasons I think the maternal pedigree is so crucial when evaluating a stallion. Sol Oriens, a Kitasan Black son who doesnโ€™t resemble his sire and still managed to win a Classic, is almost a living proof of concept for โ€œcreating a horse that can surpass the fatherโ€ and โ€œforging an ultimate individuality โ€“ in other words, a G1 winner.โ€ What makes Sol Oriens truly unique is the fact that he carries five separate lines of Tudor Minstrel on his damโ€™s side. Tudor Minstrel was a small, low-withers horse, but over a mile and below he was untouchable โ€“ he crushed the 2000 Guineas by eight lengths and ranks among the greatest three-year-old milers in history. He was a completely different type from Kitasan Black. Tudor Minstrelโ€™s third dam is Lady Josephine, a mare Iโ€™ve cited many times. Lady Josephine stands behind the speed revolution in modern racing: sheโ€™s in the background of Northern Dancer, Mr. Prospector, Sunday Silence and other lines that reshaped the breed. This female line produced monsters like Mahmoud, Fair Trial, Nasrullah and Royal Charger. Even the famed Sunday Silence ร— Lyphard nick involves Fair Trial, which shows you how central Lady Josephine is as a speed influence. On top of that, Tudor Minstrel himself is bred on a 3ร—2 cross of the near-relatives Selene and Sansovino, with the great Hyperion โ€“ another cornerstone of European stamina โ€“ naturally present as well. When you realize that Sol Oriens has five lines of Tudor Minstrel packed into his damโ€™s side, he starts to look even more intriguing. He hasnโ€™t been admitted to Shadai Stallion Station, so heโ€™s unlikely to receive the absolute maximum level of support, and it will be difficult for him to rank among the very top sires by earnings. Even so, if heโ€™s given enough backing, I genuinely believe itโ€™s entirely possible that somewhere down his line, a true superstar will emerge.

Instead of waiting for buses, shuttles, or rail schedules, the Vegas Loop aims to provide point-to-point trips in Teslas, fast, quiet, and emissions-free, connecting major destinations without the chaos of the Strip above. And after seeing it up close, what stands out most is how operational it already is. This isnโ€™t a render. Itโ€™s a functioning system handling real demand, in real conditions, with real riders. What It Feels Like: Fast, Weirdly Fun, And Surprisingly Smooth The โ€œLoop experienceโ€ is part transit, part sci-fi. The tunnels are lined with shifting LEDsโ€”purples, greens, yellowsโ€”that make the ride feel more like entering a venue than commuting. Trips are short and direct. One example Steve shared: LVCC to Encore in about 85 seconds. But the biggest โ€œwait, that just happenedโ€ moment on the tour was Full Self-Driving. During CES 2026, the Loop moved 90,000+ passengers, peaking at 6,600+ riders per hour, including 22,000+ trips to/from Resorts World, Encore, and Westgate. Theyโ€™re doing roughly 50 test rides per day, and Steve noted 100 of ~130 vehicles are already โ€œairport-readyโ€ with transponders. Challenges Theyโ€™re Solving In Real Time: Groundwater And Permitting One of the most interesting โ€œmyth-bustingโ€ moments was hearing Steve talk about tunnel conditions. Despite the desert setting, the tunnels are roughly 30 feet below grade, and in many areas, theyโ€™re fully submerged in groundwater, sand, clay, caliche, and water management, all part of the daily reality.
