This young lady’s parents are selling her childhood home. She is walking through her house and wants to show off the coolest thing about the house. She opens a door and as she walks through there is a long tunnel that goes under the yard up above and connects to the back side of the house into a beautiful room and a back deck with a beautiful view. I’ve never seen a house like that. Also, am I the only one who thought the first hallway was a painting? 🤯 Have you ever seen a house like this with a tunnel like that? Why on Earth would you be selling it? Shouldn’t that type of house be kept in your family forever? How cool is that?

I remember talking with the USA Hockey leadership group a few years back when I started as a youth hockey director and I was like “I don’t know if I can do this…” It was stressful as hell and it was hard to enact the kind of things I wanted to do because the youth hockey culture was so backwards on the priorities of development. They told me that I’d be shocked how many good, high level hockey people get into it for a year to give back and then are like - nah I’m good this is not the experience I was looking for. We need to find a way to entice more good hockey people to want to get involved in the youth side of the game. And I think the only way to do it is more community based hockey. Less pressure, more development. More opportunity for the players who get out of the high level of the game to enjoy coming to the rink and not feel like it’s a full time job again. We talked about the importance of more high level hockey people getting involved at the grassroots level on our latest podcast with Nick Robone. Check it out. 🎙️

How can players make a big jump next year?!?! For High School and College players… they all put in work with their coaches. Most of them have a trainer they see to put in work. So what is the separator? 1. Are you working on the right things with your coaches that are going to help you be a better player working your team and overall 2. HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU PUT IN THE GYM ON YOUR OWN. This is a HUGE SEPARATOR because this time isn’t dependent on anyone and is unlimited in how much you do. Almost every player I’ve worked with that has made a BIG JUMP has put in extra time on their own. It’s not only because of the work, but it also helps players understand their game better and gives them a bigger investment in their development. As a player you should assess that part of your development today!

POV: you stopped lifting heavy and threw 98 MPH Up until I threw 95, and even in pro ball with the Phillies and Rangers, all I tried to do in the weight room was lift as heavy as I could. Now that I’m trying to throw 100 miles an hour, I’ve realized that’s not the most efficient way to train. This is something I see a lot of guys struggle with. They go to college, get bigger and stronger, but don’t throw harder. And they wonder why. The biggest reason is they’re not training rate of force development. In the pitching delivery, you only have milliseconds to produce force. If you can’t produce a high amount of force in that time, your velocity will be limited. Once I started incorporating rate of force development into my training, I began climbing into the 96, 97, 98 mile an hour range. My favorite ways to train this are overcoming isometrics, oscillatory work, explosive lifts, VBT-style training, ballistic barbell movements, and plyometrics. All of these teach you how to produce force fast, not just how much you can lift. I also created a full guide on this. If you want it, comment “guide” and I’ll send it to you.

If you read my post about finding the goodness in loss or hard moments I said I would share this video. My husband Doug has been at the top of this sport. He has won a state title, a NCAA title, the US Open, World Team trials, placed 5th at the world, and was an Olympian. Through all that he has experienced his fair share of losses and getting through them. Our son participated in his first HS state tournament and although he came up short taking home 2nd, Doug did not have a lack of words to share with other parents who have or will go through it from his new perspective of a parent of a HS athlete. So much goodness packed into this. I challenge every parent to watch it, especially those with kids in some sort of even/sport that they compete in. Doug not only talks about validating your child's feelings because of the work it took to get there, but he speaks to the things he as an athlete experienced just now from the perspective of a parent of a High School kid. By far this is one of his best talks and knowing how his heart hurt for his kid, while probably tuning back into some of his own losses made this even more relatable. I know one thing- I'm lucky that our kids, both our own and the ones that will be joining us at UNI eventually have someone like him under the tunnel in these moments. Although my heart ached matside and I was probably 30 yards from my kid in one of his most vulnerable and defeating moments, I knew he didn't need me, he needed him. Doug Schwab

In this video, this pastor claimed that Muslims will never pay the new tax and that it is only Christians who will bear the burden. In my opinion, this kind of narrative appears to be a deliberate and systematic attempt to sabotage the tax reform by presenting it as something that will be applied based on religious affiliation. It is worrying how almost everything, absolutely everything, is now being viewed and interpreted through a spiritual lens in this country. Turning national policies into religious talking points only deepens division and distracts from meaningful discussions about governance and development. Stakeholders, especially religious leaders with huge influence over gullible people, should engage with issues with facts and responsibility, not sensationalism.

In light of the Supreme Court ruling that states can prohibit transgender athletes from competing on girls' and women's sports teams, NCAA President Charlie Baker says “the most important thing about it is to have a clear policy and to have one that is consistent with federal policy.” “Because that eliminates sort of all the gray with respect to how this should be dealt with or how it should be treated,” he explains. When asked if the policy "makes the NCAA inclusive enough," Baker says, “Yeah, I do...there's plenty of science and plenty of debate and discussion about this, and reasonable people can disagree. But I don't believe that this change at the federal level, which did create clarity for us around this issue, steps us back at all from our policies with respect to inclusivity and participation.”

I was invited to test OpenArt Director. I made this nearly 1-minute cinematic video through conversation, starting with only an initial idea, two character images, and one background image. This is what vibe directing feels like. A few details impressed me: Director first generates the voiceover, then uses it as reference audio for Seedance 2.0. That makes the character voices feel much more natural and better synced. After the character images, it also helps create storyboard frames and camera reference images. That massively improves the final generation quality. It feels less like writing a prompt, and more like building a shot with an AI production team.

Syracuse 6’9 Big William Kyle III has been one of the most impressive prospects in the 2026 NBA Draft so far this season. Through his first three games Kyle is averaging 11/9/2 along with 1 SPG and 3 BPG. Kyle is also shooting 70% from the field. With a 44 inch vertical at 6’9 Kyle is one of the best athletes in the class and uses that to his full advantage on both ends. He’s extremely skilled as a rim runner and lob threat on the offensive end, he’s one one of the best in the class on that end. Kyle is also one of the best rim protectors and defenders in the class who can defend multiple positions at a high level while also protecting the rim at a high level using his size, wingspan, and athleticism. He’s also a high level rebounder and a skilled passer for his archetype who can find his open teammates and create 2nd chance plays for his team. Syracuse is off to a strong 3-0 start and Kyle has been one of the biggest reasons why with his impact on both ends. Syracuse 6’9 Big William Kyle III has been one of the most impressive prospects in the 2026 NBA Draft so far this season. Through his first three games Kyle is averaging 11/9/2 along with 1 SPG and 3 BPG. Kyle is also shooting 70% from the field. With a 44 inch vertical at 6’9 Kyle is one of the best athletes in the class and uses that to his full advantage on both ends. He’s extremely skilled as a rim runner and lob threat on the offensive end, he’s one one of the best in the class on that end. Kyle is also one of the best rim protectors and defenders in the class who can defend multiple positions at a high level while also protecting the rim at a high level using his size, wingspan, and athleticism. He’s also a high level rebounder and a skilled passer for his archetype who can find his open teammates and create 2nd chance plays for his team. Syracuse is off to a strong 3-0 start and Kyle has been one of the biggest reasons why with his impact on both ends.
