🟢 NEW | Hamas’ Khaled Meshaal on Resistance Weapons & Security Speaking at the Al Jazeera Forum in Doha on Sunday, Feb. 8, Hamas political leader abroad Khaled Meshaal reiterated an offer for a truce of up to 10 years with Israel, while rejecting claims that Palestinian disarmament is an “international demand,” calling it an Israeli dictate being pushed onto Washington and echoed by parts of the international system. Meshaal said calls to disarm Palestinians while occupation continues would leave Gaza defenseless against Israel’s overwhelming military power and exterminationist agenda. He acknowledged the need for a pragmatic post-war framework to enable reconstruction and prevent a return to fighting, but explained that it could not be built on total disarmament. Meshaal said Hamas has instead engaged through mediators Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt, and via indirect channels with the United States, around an alternative security approach based on several “guarantees,” reiterating a proposal he also outlined in an interview with Drop Site’s Jeremy Scahill and Jawa Ahmad (see post in reply). He said an understanding has already been reached with the three mediators on this issue and that they are “attempting to promote that to the Americans,” adding that peace can only be advanced “away from Israeli pressure and blackmail.” As part of that framework, Meshaal said Hamas has offered a long-term truce of “five, seven, up to ten years.” The approach is based on additional guarantees, including the presence of international forces on the borders to “keep peace and prevent clashes,” and the role of regional mediators with deep ties to Hamas to guarantee the peace. Resistance weapons during this period would be “not used and not displayed,” he added. Meshaal stressed that Israel’s real concern is not with its security. It is seeking to confiscate Palestinian weapons and place them in the hands of proxy militias in Gaza to fuel assassinations and internal chaos, he pointed out. The real threat is Israel, not a devastated Gaza that will take a long time simply to recover after 2+ year-long war of annihilation, he said, pushing back on claims of an international consensus on this issue of weapons: “If the world wants to wake up, the most important thing is that the American administration, Europeans, and international forces deal with the Palestinian cause through an objective vision, not through the Israeli eye.”

Drop Site’s Jeremy Scahill, who spoke in person with senior figures from Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Doha just days ago, says the resistance has presented a detailed technical plan for Gaza’s security and governance. Under the proposal, Hamas would step aside as the governing authority and support an independent technocratic Palestinian committee. A non-partisan Palestinian police force, trained with international involvement, would be the sole authority on Gaza’s streets and the only entity permitted to carry weapons. Resistance arms would be stored and would not appear publicly. Anyone caught carrying an unauthorized weapon could be arrested. Scahill says senior Palestinian resistance figures told him the remaining arsenal consists primarily of a massively depleted collection of light arms, which would not appear on Gaza’s streets. Those, and the so-called “heavy” weapons, which include an “almost entirely depleted” rocket capability, resistance leaders say they are willing to discuss with negotiators. The proposal includes an internationally overseen long-term ceasefire (hudna) of 5–10 years and allows for an international stabilization force, so long as it is not tasked with enforcing disarmament. The centerpiece of the deal is what Scahill calls “the collateral.” The hudna would be formally signed by Hamas and endorsed by regional mediators, including Qatar, Egypt, and Türkiye, and overseen internationally. The film is a propaganda piece promoting her Marxist ideology. One of the trio says she was inspired by watching Ardern’s Covid sermons, and was amazed by her pandemic response, that was based on “science and compassion”. Truly parallel universe stuff. NZ is still paying for her security estimated to be well over 1million a year, which Luxon has approved. Trump has just revoked security details for several ex Govt staff - reasoning “all these people have made a lot of money, they can pay for it themselves”. Ardern is funded to the tune of 12mill by the Gates foundation, she receives money from the Democrats slush fund CAP, she is taking 250k USD per speech on the International talking circuit and has yet another book due soon. Why are NZ taxpayers fronting the bill (which the PM’s office and Police will not disclose the actual amount even after multiple OIA’s?) for Ardern to dribble her vacuous and Marxist dog 💩 around the globe ? Much has been written about the fate of LIV Golf over the last few weeks. But with the investment they’ve made in the Asian Tour, another big question is what the future holds for them. Flushing It Golf spoke with executives at LIV Golf Andalucia about their plans, and they are committed to utilising The International Series on the Asian Tour to help elevate national opens across the globe as LIV Golf 2.0 develops. In fact, several senior players even mentioned, unprompted, the importance of building it within the potential 2027 schedule. However, members on the Asian Tour admit although they are very happy with the success of the partnership so far, there were concerns when the LIV Golf backed purse increase of the Kolon Korean Open was pulled at the last minute, and they want options left open amid the uncertainty. Flushing It Golf reached out to the Asian Tour and they offered this official comment: “LIV Golf have been a terrific partner for the Asian Tour over the past five years – facilitating the creation of The International Series, which has been hugely successful. These premium events have added a new dimension to our tour, boasting world-class fields competing for elevated prizemoney at outstanding venues. In particular, the initiative has afforded us the opportunity to travel to exciting new markets in Africa, the Middle East and Europe. We look forward to seeing the remainder of The International Series events played out on the Asian Tour this season. “Our senior leadership are in constant dialogue with stakeholders and partners on how best to move forward and build on the successes over the past five years. We are very confident that solutions will be found that are in the best interests of our members and partners. Flushing It Golf spoke with executives at LIV Golf Andalucia about their plans, and they are committed to utilising The International Series on the Asian Tour to help elevate national opens across the globe as LIV Golf 2.0 develops. In fact, several senior players even mentioned, unprompted, the importance of building it within the potential 2027 schedule. However, members on the Asian Tour admit although they are very happy with the success of the partnership so far, there were concerns when the LIV Golf backed purse increase of the Kolon Korean Open was pulled at the last minute, and they want options left open amid the uncertainty. Chapter 1 Pre-Alpha "Explore. Craft. Survive." will be dropping this quarter welcoming the very first inhabitants to #E2V1 & introduce early mechanics that will form the foundation of life inside #Earth2🌍✌️ Read below for important details: This update is no longer a simple avatar release but a significant update to the entire foundation of the #E2V1 world. When I first talked about dropping avatars I was eager to keep things moving and referred to a very simple system to test skins and movement, then to subsequently implement the full version after that. While this approach would have brought new content out quickly, it could have turned into weeks of extra development time with little upside for the wider community, apart from testing the movement and appearance of the avatars, there would have been little else to do until another subsequent update. Therefore I made the decision to focus solely on implementing the core part of the full system we plan to use long term on the platform. I apologise that this release will take a little longer than originally anticipated, having moved away from the initial lower spec'd plan, but I'd like to get this right & ready for a wider audience to start using and enjoying. As much as I'd love to push out updates faster, I will be taking this approach to #E2V1 development in the future as well. The plan will still be to release to our testing group first after our internal QA, test and then stabilise. If all looks good and we're happy with how everything is performing, we will push forward with a public release. There will inevitably be ongoing adjustments, additions and tweaks to these type of systems over time. It may seem like a long time, but #E2V1 was only released to our testing group 7 weeks ago! How crazy is that? I know for me it feels like many months already. Nonetheless, during this short period of time we have not only released a couple of updated versions, and an updated version to the Earth 2 Launcher, but the team has also been working incredibly hard on the #E2V1 and #BE mechanics for the Chapter 1 systems - and there is a lot involved in this upcoming release. We will be dropping an article later this week, which I believe will help our community understand the extensive list of features planned for this release and in turn explain why it is taking a little longer. I'd rather not spoil all of the details, but the article contains a lot of information about the various systems we're developing including rules of life, avatar synthesisation, death, saving, skins, day/night cycles, free to play model, avatar vitals, how land ownership fits in with all of this and much more. It is important to keep in mind that each of these systems needed to be designed and implemented, which takes time. The article will also begin to reveal some of the design plans I have been working on to increase utility for T1 land, which will also include various T1 classes. I also intend to follow through and expand utility on T1 land into other upcoming mechanics on the platform, some of which will be revealed in a separate article in the near future and are also part of the Chapter 1 release. Ideally, all going well, we will be testing early multiplayer at some stage this quarter and as mentioned earlier this year #Hordes in Q3, #EggHunt in Q4 & maybe some early buildings on properties. In addition to these goals, we have a couple of wild card features floating around in between as well. I know I reiterate it from time to time, but the long term goal for #Earth2 has not changed. We are building a #geolocational #metaverse - a platform! TOPIC # 46 DEVELOP REAL ECOSYSTEM DURING 2ND STAGE Dear Global Pioneers, Happy Saturday! Today, I recorded a ten-minute video for you. However, I understand that many of the pioneers may not understand English. So, I am writing this article to help you understand my message. ✅Summary of the 1st Currency stage work from the pioneers' community: According to the white paper, Pi will be a global currency, designed not as an asset or a traditional investment, but as a currency. Therefore, we, as the pioneers' community, need to help Pi complete its mission. The core team can only take care of the infrastructure work; the rest depends on us. This is why it's important for pioneers to understand that we have our task. Our task is not just to complete KYC and migration; it's to develop Pi as a currency. The characteristics of currency include durability, portability, divisibility, uniformity, limited supply, and acceptability. Currency has five major functions: scale of value, means of circulation, means of storage, means of payment, a world settlement currency. Over the past two and a half years, our focus has been on establishing the first currency function as " scale of value" and generating at least one million GCV $314,159 data. We have received support from pioneers representing at least 120 countries. We believe there is no alternative to GCV in terms of pricing. CT’s announcement on Pi2Day indicates that we are on right track and at the forefront of OM. As a result, GCV $314,159 is aligned with Pi Network's mission and vision. I’ve noticed that many pioneers are questioning CT about the delay in KYC and migration procedures over the past two and a half years. My response is that they were awaiting GCV from pioneers. Without this support, our goal of establishing a currency would not be achievable. However, despite the recent Global GCV movement, we have not seen significant involvement from merchants in the exchange of GCV. Most of the data has been generated by pioneers. This is crucial during the initial stages for "value scale." from our pioneers. We have submitted petitions to CT three times for OM on Pi2Day. This is because most community leaders and pioneers are facing resource shortages, and the first function of "value scale" has been successful. If CT can announce the GCV price and OM on Pi2Day , the entire ecosystem will operates on the same pricing system for development. We believe this strategy can also work well. However, CT has announced that OM will be at the earliest by the end of this year. From my perspective, the goal is to reach 15 million KYC and 10 migration Pi wallets, and more importantly, to ensure that the ecosystem has developed to meet the maturity level outlined in the 2019 white paper, or at least has a prototype of the ecosystem. This approach may eliminate the need to announce the Pi price once the entire ecosystem has been accepted. This conservative approach aims to prevent pioneers from converting Pi to FIAT after OM. Instead, the ecosystem will offer utilities for pioneers to use. This will result in a more stable and secure Pi currency. ✅Since CT has decided to OM until the year end or later, there will be at least five months for ecosystem development. Hence, the question now is what pioneers can do during Currency 2nd Stage? Pioneers always have the task of completing their KYC and migration on time, and they are encouraged to become validators if they wish. In addition to the above, pioneers have another important task, which CT cannot directly ask us to do, but it's something we need to do for ourselves. This task is to join the ecosystem with GCV price. As we have discussed, since we want Pi as a currency, it must circulate in our community. Therefore, we need merchants and service providers to offer products or services. However, we cannot force them to do so. If we enforce full Pi payments, they will avoid participating. Currently, we are seeing some full Pi payments in our online ecosystem at different prices, but almost all are very low, less than $1 or less than $0.1. We believe this price is not suitable for Pi's long-term vision and mission. That's why we choose to only support GCV. ✅So the next question is: How can we motivate merchants and service providers to join our ecosystem so that we can OM with GCV $314,159? My suggestion is to allow partial Pi and partial FIAT. They can use 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, or even 90% FIAT. As long as the FIAT value is lower than the market price, it will benefit pioneers. When more merchants join, they will compete with each other to lower the FIAT ratio. This concept aims to create a real business environment, not a charity environment. We should not depend on leaders, pioneers, or merchants to donate. Instead, we need to create a mechanism to let them compete, which will benefit them and motivate more merchants to join. What about pioneers? If given two options, which one would you choose? a. Only small items worth $1 available for full Pi payment, with no higher value products available and still needing to spend FIAT from the outside market. b. Buy products inside our community at a 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90% FIAT ratio, lower than the outside market price, and including larger items like cell phones, TVs, appliances, jewelry, furniture, clothing, shoes, etc. without limitation. You will save at least 20%-30% on your daily or luxury purchases. I believe you would want option b, as you would save a significant amount of money during the five months. Most importantly, you would be very happy because you understand that what you do will make GCV $314,159 a reality without any doubt. Do you want to live with uncertainty or certainty? Joining this kind of barter system will bring you happiness with certainty. This is what I call the creation of Pi circulation, which is our second stage. After OM, we will enter the third, fourth, and fifth stages, which are the storage, payment, and international settlement currency stages. Since GCV $314,159 on the right track to OM, we need to make GCV more widely accepted and widely used to create circulation. In this way, we will make GCV OM foundation very strong and this will help the ecosystem after OM to reduce any risk that pioneers all go to exchange market to dump. Nate Bittle is joining the Toronto Raptors on an Exhibit-10 deal. This is a long-term bet on development but I'd like to make a case for why Nate has a better shot to make it than most 7 footers who went undrafted. 1. He's smart. This doesn't just mean he's a mature, level-headed 23 year-old with good habits and work ethic, but he's also quite intelligent on the court. He processes feedback well, makes timely reads, and picks his spots pretty well. Apart from a few unforced turnovers and some foul trouble earlier in his college career, I'm not worried about his basketball brain. 2. He can shoot. And I mean shoot shoot. Not big man shoot. He has excellent touch indicators, and the shot should go in more than it actually does. Repeatable, high and quick release. Pulls with an abundance of sureness and confidence. 3. Improvement arc. His role expanded with the Ducks through the years and he just found a way to get better. There's no quantum leaps here, nor will 1 be coming. But he absolutely knows who he is as a player. 4. He can really pass. Not exceptionally. But he at least projects to be as good a passer as Jakob Poeltl, which is a huge win. 5. True 7-footer with a 7'6 wingspan. Gets long and big around the basket. Huge standing reach and plays with it. 6. Got stronger. Way too many people assume Nate is 7'1 215. Spoke to someone close to the source close to the situation who said he was closer to 7'1 245 and got up to 255 by the G League combine. That's BIG. 7. He's a drop big. Yes. But he's good at it. And I think his lateral quickness is better than people think it is. 8. Wingspan. He measured out with the largest wingspan in this draft at 7'6, tied with 12th overall pick Aday Mara. However, his Height (7'0) to Wingspan (7'6) differential of 6 inches is the biggest of any player in this draft north of 6'11. 9. He's got a nasty streak. He protects the rim, he goes up strong. Did he at times get bumped off his spot? Yes. But he competes man. 10. His athleticism concerns are over-emphasized. A 26 inch vertical matters way less when you're this big. By no means is this a big vertical lob threat who jumps out of the gym, but he rolls well, rolls hard, finishes well and has excellent touch on a handful of replicable post moves. For the Raptors, if ever he develops, he's as good if not a better bet than Brendan Carlsen. Same size, but a couple of years younger and a much more productive bet against better competition. Not to mention, he's a better defender passer and rebounder than Carlsen. I think he'll eventually work somewhere. Not spectacular. But 7'1 depth bigs who have this much game are a rare find.

I would like to begin by clarifying that I warmly welcomed Somaliland’s recognition by Israel and still believe it was a transformative moment for our nation. I personally organized demonstrations in support of the recognition in Hargeisa, and I was the first public official in this government to place the Israeli flag on his shoulder to rally the people around this historic event. It is also beyond doubt that mutual recognition between the two states comes with strings attached. Israel did not recognize us out of goodwill alone; it acted based on its strategic interests—particularly its security posture in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Berbera. With the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the Houthis’ previous threats to maritime routes in Bab el-Mandeb, especially targeting Israeli vessels, it is entirely logical for Israel to seek to project its maritime interests from Berbera. A military presence near Bab el-Mandeb, for example, would align with its strategic needs. However, any such arrangement must come with security guarantees for Somaliland’s strategic cities, especially Berbera. Without the capability to defend ourselves from threats posed by groups like the Houthis, it is extremely risky for the current government to treat this recognition as a behind-the-scenes deal benefiting only President Cirro’s close associates. The public deserves transparency about the conditions attached to this mutual recognition. There is, after all, no such thing as a free lunch. On the matter of accountability and asking the right questions when Somaliland faces major strategic decisions, President Cirro has historically challenged previous administrations at critical moments. He opposed the DP World agreement signed by former President Ahmed Maxamed Maxamuud Siilaanyo, even calling him a traitor for a deal that later proved instrumental in Berbera’s development and in building international confidence in Somaliland’s ability to negotiate. President Abdirahman Cirro and his party, Wadani, also opposed the MoU with Ethiopia and demanded that the government make its details public. Today, I am asking the same question President Cirro once asked others: What is happening under the table that even your ministers do not know—known only to a small circle of associates? Somaliland is a democracy, and secrecy has no place in a democratic system. Furthermore, the current situation in Somaliland’s western regions, particularly Awdal and Salal, urgently requires the government’s attention. The events in these regions have exposed the government’s inability to manage conflict effectively. When the issue of Xeer Ciise arose, the government issued at least three contradictory decisions, ultimately leading to the tragic loss of life in Borama. The president has traveled abroad numerous times, yet he has not visited the western regions to show solidarity with the people. His most recent trip was to Berbera, but perhaps he should have gone to Borama or Zeila. During his visit to Ceerigaabo, the president, accompanied by Ugaas Abdirashiid Ugaas Rooble Ugaas Doodi, carried a white cloth symbolizing peace; a well organize media campaign meant to paint the president as a great negotiator and peacemaker. Unfortunately, that same gesture has not been extended to the people of Awdal and Salal. These communities have consistently contributed to Somaliland’s stability and were, for many years, among the most peaceful regions in the country. Neglecting them is extremely dangerous for Somaliland’s long-term prosperity.
