Options in front of Annamalai! Option 1 - Staying with BJP! Annamalai could stay with BJP, become the star campaigner + seat-sharing negotiator for NDA, and push hard to bag seats worthy of the 11.24% he earned in 2024. If the alliance is victorious and a coalition government is formed in 2026, I wouldnโ€™t be surprised if Annamalai lands a bigger role within the party, possibly regional or even national. But this is highly unlikely to happen. Option 2 - Launching his own Tamil Nadu based political party! Annamalai also has the option of launching his own party and testing his strength in 2026 (my assessment: around 6% โ€“ 8%). He could even manage a few MLAs, and in a hung assembly, play kingmaker. By 2029, his party could align with BJP again and back PM Modiโ€™s quest for a fourth term. Option 3 - Quitting politics! Annamalai also has the option of stepping away from politics altogether, choosing a peaceful life with his family. If the betrayal and backstabbing in Dravidian politics clash with his values, he could focus on his passions - organic farming and cattle rearing. Having said the above, as far as I know from observing and interacting with him, Annamalai is neither someone who likes to be in a relegated position within the party nor a quitter. Canโ€™t wait to see what Annamalai does next โ€” Iโ€™m as curious as everyone! K.Annamalai

๐ŸšจOH MY GOSH!!!! A man who K*LLED his own landlord was just allowed to walk out of a Virginia mental facility on a "weekend pass"... ...and used it to board a ONE-WAY international flight out of the country. He is GONE. And he is not coming back. His name is Abdulloi Toshpulodzoda. Back in 2019, police say he k*lled his landlord. When investigators showed up, they found him covered in blood. He was found "not guilty by reason of insanity" and committed to the Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute in 2022. Under Virginia law, that facility was allowed to hand this man UNESCORTED weekend and day passes. No guard. No escort. Just... go, and please come back. A FREAKING K*LLER ON THE LOOSE!!!!!! So on July 6, he took his little weekend pass, drove to Dulles Airport, and boarded a one-way flight to Tajikistan. Someone even bought his ticket for him. In his name. With a window seat. It gets worse. The prosecutors had actually OPPOSED letting him out in June. They warned it was a public safety risk. But they say once it's out of court, they have NO say in what the facility decides. So the people whose JOB is public safety said "no"... and a mental health facility overrode them and gave a blood-soaked accused murderer a pass to leave. And the cherry on top? Prosecutors didn't file to get a cross-border warrant until August 5th. A FULL MONTH after he was already gone!!!! He's now in a country with no extradition. He is never seeing an American courtroom again. An accused m*rderer just escaped justice completely... because a bureaucracy gave him a weekend pass and nobody stopped him. WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS!!!!!!!

Tupac Shakur died with $105,000 to his name in 1996. He's sold over 75 MILLION records since, most of them after he was already dead. > Tupac was murdered September 13, 1996, in Las Vegas. He was 25 years old. > A forensic accountant went through his estate weeks later. > He owned no real estate, no stocks, not even a retirement accounts. > He didn't even own the house he was living in. > His entire net worth: two cars, a small life insurance policy, and $105,000 in a checking account. > He died with no will, nothing planned, nothing protected. > Everything went to his mother, Afeni Shakur, a former Black Panther who did prison time before he was even born. > Death Row Records still controlled his masters. Suge Knight wasn't handing anything back. > Afeni spent years in court just to win back her own son's music. > "All Eyez On Me" became the best-selling double album in hip-hop history. > Afeni didn't stop at one album. She released seven full posthumous albums from his vault. > In 2012 a hologram of Tupac performed live at Coachella next to Snoop Dogg. Sixteen years after he died. > His estate has earned tens of millions since 1996, built entirely on music he never got to see paid for. > He made Death Row Records rich while he was alive. He made his mother rich by dying and leaving her a fight worth winning. He had $105,000 when he died. His name alone has made more than that every single week since.

Soviet circus acrobat, Valentin Dikul, performed his power juggling act in 1985. The sphere balls weighed 88 lbs (40 kg) each. At age 14, Dikul was seriously injured during a gymnastic performance when a steel support crossbeam broke, causing him to fall 43 ft (13 meters) and fracture his spine and suffer a traumatic brain injury. As part of his recovery process, Dikul began to train 5 to 6 hours a day, stretching rubber bands, lifting heavy objects, and doing push-ups. However, he was unable to even move his legs. Doctors told him that there was no hope that he would be able to walk again, but Dikul persisted by continuing to work out every day until he would pass out from exhaustion. As he began to develop more muscles on his chest, body, and arms, Dikul would incrementally increase the weights. Once he regained his upper body strength, he began to tie ropes to his feet and move them using a pulley system. At first, he would move them just by pulling the ropes with his hands, then he began using counterweight loads. After 8 months, Dikul was discharged from the hospital. His story was told in the media, and he became bombarded with letters asking for help. Dikul spent 3 to 4 hours a day responding to people and would send them instructions on his method of rehabilitation. In 1988, Dikul opened up a rehabilitation center to help people with spinal injuries. He is still heading it to this day and is alive and well.

He makes the point that toxic ego in leaders manifests as a need to silence criticism and to intimidate those that may hold views different from theirs. I watched with disbelief earlier this week when the President told elected members of his own party that they were unfit to be in Parliament. Yes, this was the import of the message by President Boko to members who were in Parliament (the opposition had walked out). In his view, the Constitutional Amendment Bill should be debated by lawyers. โ€œTota e bile e kabe go tletse di agente ha, go betswa molao, eseng ๐’๐’๐’๐’‚.โ€ The last word is my addition. Even though the President did not complete the toxic sentence, the message was clear, those in the house were too ignorant to engage on the subject matter. He achieved what he wanted, his MPs were overwhelmed with self doubt. Not a single member of Parliament from the ruling party back bench stood up to debate the much talked about Constitutional Amendment Bill. In effect, the ruling party MPs boycotted the debate through their silence while the opposition boycotted by walking out. The Nwa Metsi Brigade in support of their supreme leader, hope to silence everyone who shares a view that does not align with their script. Some, like the UDC MPs, will succumb and resort to deafening silence. Some of us have long committed ourselves to Speak Truth To Power. Those opposed to a piecemeal amendment of the constitution, now is the time to make your voice heard. #withdrawthebill #Kgololo #askdumelang

The relationship between the President of Malawi, Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, and his kitchen cabinet on one hand, and his Vice President, Dr Jane Ansah, on the other, has deteriorated so badly that on 1 March, when President Mutharika left for a medical check-up in South Africa and was given a military parade in his honour before departure, the Vice President was not allowed to see him at the airport by state security. She was kept waiting in her car, a clear sign of a complete breakdown in trust and working relations at the very top of the Malawian government. This is not the first time that President Mutharika has fallen out with one of his vice presidents. In his first term, he fell out with his Vice President, Dr Saulos Chilima, leading to a complete breakdown in their working relationship, with Chilima eventually forming his own party, the United Transformation Movement, and openly challenging Mutharika for power. His elder brother, former president Bingu wa Mutharika, also fell out with his vice presidents, first Dr Cassim Chilumpha and later Dr Joyce Banda. During his first term, Bingu wa Mutharika fell out with Dr Cassim Chilumpha after accusing him of being involved in an alleged coup plot in 2006. Chilumpha was arrested and charged with treason, and although he remained constitutionally vice president, their working relationship completely collapsed. In his second term, Bingu wa Mutharika fell out with Dr Joyce Banda after she refused to support his succession plans, particularly his attempt to position his brother, Peter Mutharika, as his successor. Banda was expelled from the ruling Democratic Progressive Party but remained vice president because the constitution protected her position. By the time Bingu wa Mutharika died in 2012, the relationship had broken down so badly that senior officials attempted to block Joyce Banda from assuming the presidency, despite the constitution clearly mandating that the vice president takes over. Lazarus Chakwera also fell out with his Vice President, Dr Saulos Chilima, after coming into power under the Tonse Alliance in 2020. The relationship deteriorated as Chilima and his United Transformation Movement complained of marginalisation in government, with key decisions and appointments increasingly dominated by Chakweraโ€™s Malawi Congress Party. Tensions escalated in 2022 when Chilima was arrested on corruption allegations, after which Chakwera stripped him of delegated powers, leading to a complete breakdown in trust and effectively collapsing the alliance, even though Chilima remained Vice President. There are now efforts by senior DPP members in Parliament to resolve the current impasse, as the deepening rift threatens both party cohesion and the stability of government.

Vaa Saravanaa Vaa โ€“ DMK should be the last party to talk about backstabbing! Let me list the history of backstabbing by your leader, Karunanidhi: - Karunanidhi was never among the top five founding members of the DMK in 1949. No one knows how many he backstabbed to rise to prominence. - After defeating Congress in 1967, Karunanidhi allied with Indira Gandhiโ€™s Congress in 1971, backstabbing his earlier stand. - After Annaduraiโ€™s death, Karunanidhi used MGR to become CM in 1969, then expelled and backstabbed him in 1972. - Claiming to be a puritan rationalist, he allied with JP in 1977 after Indira Gandhi dismissed his government for corruption in 1976, hoping to escape the Sarkaria Commission. When it failed, he backstabbed JP and allied with Indira Gandhi again in 1980. - Throughout the 1980s, he took a dubious stand on the Sri Lankan Tamil issue, backstabbing Sri Lankan Tamils. - While MGR supported the LTTE for emotional reasons, Karunanidhi exploited the LTTE and backstabbed the Sri Lankan Tamil cause for political gains from 1989 until his death. - Karunanidhi backstabbed and dumped existing allies to align with the brand-new TMC led by Moopanar because he knew it would give him some credibility among voters in 1996. - Karunanidhi backstabbed the same Moopanar by stopping him from becoming the Prime Minister of India in 1996 and 1997. - Karunanidhi suddenly wanted a stable government in 1999 and hence backstabbed his own puritan rationalist stance by aligning with what he had called the โ€˜Pandaaram and Paradesi partyโ€™ (BJP). - Karunanidhi and his party held lucrative portfolios under the BJP government from August 1999 to December 2003, then backstabbed the BJP to join Congress on the eve of the 2004 elections. - After enjoying absolute power from 2004 to 2013, Karunanidhi backstabbed Congress and pulled out of the alliance, anticipating future developments. Around the same time, he sought Congressโ€™s support to get his daughter Kanimozhi elected as an RS MP. - In 2014, he nearly backstabbed his own past by aggressively pursuing an alliance with the BJP. Karunanidhi was the consummate embodiment of backstabbing. See you next time, Saravanaa! Saravanan Annadurai
