Tried Minimax H3 on DomoAI official Prompt Hereโ€™s a production-ready prompt rewritten for **the girl in your image**, with a **different graphic language** and **different typography**. Her look stays locked to the picture. Structure stays 13 cuts / 16:9 / 24fps. --- **PROMPT** Create an explosive, motion-graphics-driven character reveal trailer in 16:9, exactly 13 distinct cuts, 24fps, total 15.00s. CHARACTER (lock this design; never redesign): Anime streetwear girl from the reference still. Twin high buns of vivid mint-teal hair with long flowing tails and warm orange/gold streaks. Messy side-swept bangs. Large orange over-ear headphones with mint accents and a small logo plate. Sharp amber-orange eyes, one eye winking. Playful open-mouth grin. Oversized color-block windbreaker: navy body, vivid orange sleeves, white ribbed cuffs, silver zippers, circular teal tech buttons, a teal utility pocket on the sleeve. Orange cropped turtleneck under the open jacket. Light-wash ripped denim shorts, thick orange belt with a silver buckle. Navy thigh-high socks with orange ribbed cuffs and an orange X stitch on the left shin. Chunky white sneakers with orange details. Preserve exact face, proportions, hairstyle, outfit, materials, accessories and colors in every frame. This film is 80% bold graphic design in motion and 20% character action. Graphic language is **retro OS chrome + music-player UI**, not ice/frost/barcode-lock. Use slamming window frames, title bars, close/minimize widgets, equalizer bars, waveforms, progress ticks, folder tiles, cursor arrows, CRT scanlines, pixel shatter, vinyl-ring stamps, music-note particles, media-player transport icons. Palette: mint teal, vivid orange, navy, cream-white, silver. Style: premium AAA motion-graphics title sequence ร— streetwear campaign film ร— Windows-era media player. Every graphic element moves fast and snaps hard on the beat. CUT 01 | 0.00โ€“1.00s โ€” Pure graphics: a mint title-bar slams onto a cream field, an orange CLOSE widget punches the corner, two navy window borders wipe in. Tiny equalizer ticks and a progress strip flicker. The letters **P** then **LAY** punch in one after another with heavy impact shake. CUT 02 | 1.00โ€“2.00s โ€” The **A** becomes a headphone cup: extreme close-up of her amber eye inside the orange earcup, glancing up; RGB split flash, then the cup shatters into flat mint/orange tiles. CUT 03 | 2.00โ€“3.10s โ€” Navy frame with enormous cream **PLAY**. She sprints in from frame left and power-slides across the baseline of the type, speed lines and orange streaks trailing, shards of the letters kicked up like sparks. Whip-pan out. CUT 04 | 3.10โ€“4.00s โ€” A giant retro media-player waveform explodes across the frame as a thick mint-and-orange audio spectrum bends into a tunnel. She bursts through the center of the waveform at full speed, briefly breaking into three stroboscopic motion trails behind her. Each trail leaves behind chunky navy equalizer blocks that rise and collapse to the beat. The camera rapidly pushes through the waveform tunnel with her, while huge vertical text **TRACK 01** scrolls continuously in the background. The waveform suddenly compresses into a single horizontal line and snaps shut behind her on the final beat. CUT 05 | 4.00โ€“5.10s โ€” She leaps through a giant rotating ring of typography reading **MAX VOLUME**. Camera tracks her mid-air spin in slow motion as the letters scatter, then snap-zoom on her wink. CUT 06 | 5.10โ€“6.00s โ€” Hard cut: cream editorial card, huge navy **DROP** with an orange slash. She vaults over the word itself, palm planted on the D, legs whipping across frame; the word compresses like a spring under her hand and rebounds. CUT 07 | 6.00โ€“7.00s โ€” Mint field with a navy diagonal window-bar. She back-flips along the bar in three stroboscopic ghost frames, each ghost tinted mint, orange, or navy. Giant outlined text **LOOP** rotates 180 degrees in sync with her rotation. CUT 08 | 7.00โ€“8.00s โ€” Kinetic type barrage: the words **LOUD / WILD / TEAL / HEAT** slam in one per beat with shutter flashes and camera shake, while she slides on her knees across the foreground, jacket flaring, music-note particles bursting from her sneakers. CUT 09 | 8.00โ€“9.00s โ€” Navy frame, giant cream wireframe window-grid tilting in 3D. She runs up the grid like a wall, kicks off, and hangs in the air as everything freezes. An orange circular stamp locks around her pose like a media-player target, with transport icons and EQ ticks. CUT 10 | 9.00โ€“10.10s โ€” Freeze releases into a burst: she dives toward camera through layered flat-color window panes that shatter one by one like glass shutters, each pane revealing a bigger letter of **P-L-A-Y**. Foreground wipe with her sneaker. CUT 11 | 10.10โ€“11.10s โ€” Rapid-fire poster montage: four full-screen graphic posters of her in different action poses (mid-flip, sliding, landing, headphones-up wink) snap past with hard cuts. Each has a different bold layout, oversized numbers **01โ€“04**, equalizer strips and slashes. CUT 12 | 11.10โ€“13.00s โ€” Hero moment on a clean cream cyclorama: she lands a final backflip dead center in slow motion, straightens with one hand on her headphones, and a shockwave of concentric mint rings, wind streaks and shattered typography blasts outward from her landing. Brief iconic freeze on her wink, overexpose to white. CUT 13 | 13.00โ€“15.00s โ€” Final identity card: enormous navy **PLAY** dominates a pale cream field with translucent mint rings, technical arcs, scanlines, and a rough orange circular emblem containing a ghosted headphone / waveform motif. She stands relaxed overlapping the letters, wind rippling her jacket. One last orange pulse sweeps through the typography and a window-chrome flash punctuates the end. Editing: extremely aggressive rhythm โ€” hard cuts on every beat, graphic matches, whip pans, snap zooms, stroboscopic freezes, foreground wipes, RGB splits, shutter flashes, impact shakes and speed ramps. Every cut must feel compositionally different. Typography is always fully readable before the character overlaps it. No weapons, no combat, no fire. All energy comes from motion design, wind, glass, UI chrome and her parkour-style athleticism. BGM: hard-hitting electronic / drum-heavy future bass with aggressive drops, risers, sub hits and glitch fills locked to every cut. Sneaker impacts, whooshes, glass shatters, window-slam hits and typography slams are rhythmic sound-design elements. Peak at CUT 12 and end with a cold electronic logo stinger. Premium AAA quality, anime-inspired cinematic rendering, stylish and explosive, strong graphic-design identity, consistent character design, exactly 13 cuts. #DomoAI #DomoAICPP

Create an explosive, motion-graphics-driven character reveal trailer using Minimax H3 on Fish Creative Prompt CHARACTER LOCK (do not redesign): Use the exact figure from the reference still. Cool, composed cartoon streetwear character with vivid blue skin, short black hair with messy bangs, orange knit beanie, oversized cream hoodie with a pink inner hood and large pink polka dots on the sleeves, small orange square chest mark, black crossbody sling bag with a white logo, holding a paper coffee cup marked CAF, teal-and-cream checkerboard baggy pants with a small black BIG tag on the lower left leg, light-blue socks, chunky orange-black-white sneakers with pink laces. Preserve exact face, proportions, hairstyle, outfit, materials, accessories, and colors in every frame. Never change gender, silhouette, palette, or branding. This film is 80% bold graphic design in motion and 20% character action: giant kinetic typography, hard-edged shapes, split-screens, flat color fields, checker tiles, coffee-ring stamps, city-grid overlays, UI ticks, halftone, speed lines, and shutter flashes. Palette: cream, hot pink, teal, orange, cobalt-blue skin, black, white. Style: premium AAA motion-graphics title sequence ร— streetwear campaign film ร— NYC block energy. Every graphic element moves fast and snaps hard on the beat. CUT 01 | 0.00โ€“1.00s โ€” Pure graphics: a massive teal checker square slams onto a cream field, two hot-pink bars wipe across, tiny UI ticks and a coffee-ring stamp flicker; the letters B and I and G punch in one after another with heavy impact shake. CUT 02 | 1.00โ€“2.00s โ€” The G becomes a circular stamp: extreme close-up of the characterโ€™s eye inside it, glancing sideways; RGB split flash, then the stamp shatters into flat pink and teal shards. CUT 03 | 2.00โ€“3.10s โ€” Black frame with an enormous cream BIG; the character walks in from frame left holding the CAF cup, then power-slides across the baseline of the typography, speed lines and pink-dot trails kicking letter shards like sparks. Whip-pan out. CUT 04 | 3.10โ€“4.00s โ€” Split-screen triptych of flat cream / teal / hot-pink panels; in each panel the silhouette performs a different freeze: stride, cup-raise, look-back. Huge vertical text BLOCK MODE scrolls behind the panels. CUT 05 | 4.00โ€“5.10s โ€” The character steps through a giant rotating ring of typography reading CITY WALK NO CLOCK; camera tracks a mid-stride turn in slow motion as the letters scatter, then snap-zoom on the composed face. CUT 09 | 8.00โ€“9.00s โ€” Black frame, giant white wireframe city grid tilting in 3D; the character walks up the grid like a crosswalk, kicks off, and hangs mid-step as everything freezes; an orange circle stamps around the frozen pose like a target lock with UI brackets and data ticks. CUT 10 | 9.00โ€“10.10s โ€” Freeze releases into a burst: the character leans toward camera through layered flat-color panes that shatter one by one like glass shutters, each pane revealing a bigger letter of B-I-G; foreground wipe with the orange sneaker and CAF cup. CUT 11 | 10.10โ€“11.10s โ€” Rapid-fire poster montage: four full-screen graphic posters of the character in different street poses (mid-stride, cup up, look-back, hands-in-pocket) snap past with hard cuts, each with a different bold layout, oversized numbers 01โ€“04, barcodes, slashes, and checker bands. CUT 12 | 11.10โ€“13.00s โ€” Hero moment on a clean cream cyclorama: the character lands a final easy stride dead center in slow motion, straightens with the cup at the hip, and a shockwave of concentric teal-and-pink rings, wind streaks, and shattered typography blasts outward; brief iconic freeze with a faint confident smile, overexpose to white. Well. My team is out. Belgium sent us home 4 to 1, and I have made my peace by eating a waffle out of pure spite. So now I watch the rest for the love of the game. And I have picked a horse. Well. Actually, I picked a longboat. I am riding with Norway. Five and a half million Vikings against the entire world, led by that six foot four Norse god Erling Hรฅland, who already threw Brazil off a cliff on Sunday. Do not act like you are not watching too. Now, some perspective, because people forget how hard this thing is to win. In 96 years, only eight nations have ever lifted the World Cup. Brazil, 5. Germany, 4. Italy, 4. Argentina, 3. Uruguay, 2. France, 2. England, 1. Spain, 1. That is the entire list. And here is the joke nobody says out loud. Every single one is from Europe or South America. Every winner, every finalist, 96 years running, two continents. The Dutch, the Hungarians, the Swedes, the Czechs, all European bridesmaids. Nobody else has ever even reached the final. So let us be honest about what this actually is. The World Cup is a European and South American Cup, and the rest of the planet gets a lovely invitation to come lose in the group stage. And before anyone cries, we would do the exact same thing. Give us a World Championship of American Football and it plays out identically, just with the flag flipped. Sure, Belgium shows up. Curaรงao shows up. Everybody gets a jersey and a nice hotel. And they all go home in a barrel. Even Canada, right next door, cannot hang, because they are off playing their mutant cousin version with three downs and a field the size of an airport. Bless them. It is almost football. That is what a home sport looks like. The World Cup is just soccerโ€™s version of it. And two of the names on that trophy belong to countries that do not even exist anymore. West Germany won three titles before the wall came down. Czechoslovakia reached two finals before it split in half and vanished off the map. Whole nations came, competed, and disappeared, and the trophy outlived them. So here is where we are, and the bracket does not care about your feelings. Argentina still has to get past Egypt today. Switzerland draws Colombia today. Then France gets Morocco, Spain gets Belgium, and my Norway gets England. You have to pick one. Everybody does. And it says everything about you. Some of you will pick the favorite. The safe money. The chalk. And some of you will ride the long shot, the little country nobody believes in. So which are you. The one who confidently picked the Soviet Union to win gold in 1980, right up until a bunch of American college kids walked onto the ice and ruined your whole afternoon? Or the one who always, always bets on the miracle? I know my answer. Five million Vikings and a thunder god. Skรฅl. Letโ€™s ride.

I reported my abuse in 2010. I decided that day I need to get justice. I drove down to Coventry from Huddersfield, walked into Little park street police station and made my complaint. Over 3 days I did multiple interviews in special units in Coventry and Halifax. I had to take myself back and relive the trauma, and at times I felt I was there again re living everything. Lucky for me all the files from the children's home of the groomers turning up, ringing the unit phones was very well documented in my daily staff logs which are in archive in Coventry city Council buildings for 70 years. Also Coventry Evening Telegraph did a piece on me in 1999. They sent an undercover journalist into my children's home who then reported about the groomers calling us on the units phone and collecting us. The men also made telephone cards with thier numbers on advertising me which were found by the staff. Despite all this this, and hospital reports of some of my attacks 3 or 4 months into the investigation, my case was closed down. I gave up. Now I have hope. All the proof is there. For the first time in 30 years I feel like im going to be heard, and those responsible will face justice. The life long damage this has done to me has been difficult to live with, as ive also lost a baby girl who was forced adopted because the UK social services believed I would never be able to parent because of the damage caused. Imagine, I gave birth and they walked into the delivery room and took her even before the placenta was delivered. UK social services have alot to answer to. Locking us victims up for months at a time to keep us safe....but groomers allowed to roam free. Today my journey for justice really begins. If there are any UK solicitors that see this and want to help, please get in touch. A massive thank you goes to Tommy Robinson ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง for being our voice while the world stayed silent. ๐Ÿ”Š CHURCH: THIS IS WHAT THE ENEMY DOESN'T WANT US TO DO TODAY!! He wants us distracted, discouraged, exhausted, and spiritually worn out because he knows that when God's people pray, God moves! Just as Abraham pleaded for Sodom, and Moses stood in the gap for Israel, letโ€™s stand in the gap today for our family, friends, neighbors, and all who are still lost. This is where the battle is! We're living in the final seconds of the Age of Grace!! LET'S STAND IN THE GAP ONE MORE TIME WHILE THERE IS STILL TIME!!! Lord,๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ We come before You in the name of Jesusโ€”not in our own wisdom or strength, but covered by the blood of the Lambโ€”we declare that You are the God who seeks and saves the lost, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance and eternal life with You!!! ๐Ÿ”ฅSo many today are walking toward this fireโ€”unaware or unwilling to turn! ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผThis is where rebellion leads. This is where deception ends. This is where excuses are stripped away! ๐Ÿ”Father, we stand in the gap nowโ€”while there is still breath, while mercy is still available, while repentance is still possible! ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผWe present before You our mothers and fathers, wives and husbands, sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, friends, neighbors, and all who are deceived; all who are hardened; all who are wounded; all who are bound by sin, fear, pride, trauma, addictions, false beliefs, or false peace!!! โš”๏ธIn the authority of Jesus Christ, we stand against every work of the enemy assigned against their souls. We ask You to bind every spirit of deception, confusion, blindness, rebellion, pride, unbelief, false doctrine, false religion, and false peace. ๐ŸชขLord, silence every lie that exalts itself against the knowledge of Godโ€”every false identity and every argument raised against the truth! ๐Ÿ’ฃTear down every idol exalted above You: love of self, love of comfort, love of pleasure, love of money, love of the world, and every identity not rooted in Christ alone! Tear down every stronghold built in their minds: ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผstrongholds of trauma, ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผstrongholds of fear and anxiety, ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผstrongholds of shame, guilt, and condemnation, ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผstrongholds of bitterness, offense, resentment, and unforgiveness, ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผstrongholds of rebellion and stubbornness, ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผstrongholds of self-sufficiency and control, ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผstrongholds of hopelessness, despair, and fatalism. ๐Ÿ’ฃTear down every false belief formed through pain, loss, abuse, disappointment, or deception. ๐Ÿ’ฅBreak every agreementโ€”knowingly or unknowinglyโ€”with lies spoken over them, lies they believed, and lies passed down generationally!! โŒLord, cancel every repeating cycle of bondage, addiction, immorality, unbelief, broken relationships, and destruction! ๐Ÿ’ฃBreak the power of every fearโ€”fear of surrender, fear of truth, fear of obedience, fear of rejection, fear of loss, and fear of DEATH! โš”๏ธBreak every bond of addiction, lust, perversion, escapism, and hidden sin!!! โŒCancel every word spoken over them that contradicts Your truth. โŒCancel every generational pattern that keeps repeating destruction. โŒCancel every demonic assignment sent to blind, deceive, delay, distract, or destroy them. ๐Ÿ’ฅDestroy every resistance to the Holy Spiritโ€”every quenched conviction, delayed obedience, and HARDENED HEART!!! Father, we ask that You would remove the veil from their eyes. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผLet scales fall. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผLet truth pierce through every layer of deception. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผLet hearts be softened where they have grown calloused. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธHoly Spirit, we ask You to pursue them relentlessly, yet gently! โœ…Meet them in dreams and in the moments of silence. Meet them in the middle of their pain and in the questions they cannot escape! โœ…Cause divine interruptions! Send sisters and brothers across their path who speak truth with love! โœ…Remove influences that keep them bound! Expose what is false and collapse what is built on sand! Lord Jesus, reveal Yourself to them as You truly areโ€”not religion, not control, not condemnation, but โ€”The Way, The Truth and The Life!! ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผLet them feel the weight of eternityโ€”not terror, but urgency. Let them hunger for truth and become restless in sin and unable to find peace apart from You! ๐Ÿ“–Your Word is clear: Eternity is real, hell is real! Salvation is NOW!!! FATHER, SAVE THEM, BEFORE THE TRIBULATION BEGINS!!! ๐Ÿ”ฅPull them back from the edge! Rescue them from a destiny they were never created for! Let this be the moment where fear gives way to repentance, and repentance gives way to salvation!! ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผWe declare that today is the day of salvation! ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผWe declare that mercy still stands! ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผWe declare that the cross is ENOUGH! ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผWe stand on Your promises! That You draw all people to Yourself, that Your arm is not too short to save, and that You leave the ninety-nine to go after the one!! Protect them from deception and from taking the MARK OF THE BEAST! Preserve them until the moment You bring them home! ๐Ÿ™๐ŸผLord, we pray that if they are not saved before You come, then during the Tribulation may they see the light of Christ shining brighter than ever before. Draw them to Yourself, seeking refuge in Your grace and finding hope in Your promises. Help them remember the truth they have heard today. Use the testimony of the two witnesses, the 144,000, and the three angels to awaken their hearts and lead them to repentance and faith. Surround them with believers who will encourage them, strengthen them, and point them to Jesus. Let Your Holy Spirit work powerfully in their hearts until they surrender completely to You. ๐Ÿ’™ Lord... You also see us!! You see the ones who have been praying for years. The ones who cry for the same people over and over again. The ones who have watched loved ones reject You... again and again. Lord... we're tired. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผSome of us are running on empty. Some of us wonder if anything we say even matters anymore. Some of us have become discouraged watching this world grow darker by the day. You hear us constantly whisper every day saying, "Lord... I just want to come Home!!!!" Lift us up today, strengthen our weary hearts. Fill us again with Your Holy Spirit. ๐Ÿ›Ž๏ธRemind us that You are still saving. ๐Ÿ›Ž๏ธRemind us that You are still pursuing them. ๐Ÿ›Ž๏ธRemind us that You are still working behind the scenesโ€”even when we can't see it. โŒDon't let us grow cold. โŒDon't let us become distracted. โŒDon't let us lose our urgency. โŒDon't let us stop praying. โŒDon't let us stop sharing the Gospel. ๐Ÿ”ฅGive us boldness! ๐Ÿ”ฅGive us endurance! ๐Ÿ”ฅGive us fresh fire for these last moments before You come! Lord... if there's one more person You want us to reach... give us the strength to stand in the gap one more time... ๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸผWe thank You in advance for what You are already doingโ€”even now. To You alone belong all the glory, all the honor, all the praise, and all the power, forever and ever! ....and Lord, PLEASE COME!!!! We pray in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ! Amen. MARANATHA! Itโ€™s that time of year again, and like clockwork, they descend on the school in drovesโ€”parents who have been ghosts all year, suddenly outraged that their child is failing. They storm in during the final week, demanding answers, meetings, and miracles, as if the report card is some cruel surprise. Never mind the 10, 15, or even 20+ notices we sent home. Never mind the repeated phone calls, the emails, the texts begging for a parent conference. We reached out relentlessly, but radio silence was the only replyโ€ฆ until now. As teachers, weโ€™ve learned the hard way to protect ourselves and our sanity. I keep meticulous records of every single contact attemptโ€”every note sent, every call made, every voicemail left, every email and text. Each student has their own folder in my binder, a complete paper trail of our good-faith efforts. Because this end-of-year ambush is so predictable, our school sets aside a full day just for these parents. We line up tables in the gym like a tribunal of truth. Parents file in one by one. They give us the childโ€™s name, and we calmly retrieve that thick folder. Then, as the complaints and accusations start flyingโ€”โ€œYou never told me!โ€ โ€œThis isnโ€™t fair!โ€โ€”we begin the quiet, powerful ritual. One by one, we pull out each piece of documentation and lay it on the table in front of them. Dated. Detailed. Undeniable. The yelling fades. The bluster dies. The finger-pointing stops cold as the evidence stacks up right before their eyes. Why not get involved with your childโ€™s education? We have proven data that children whose parents are engaged with the teachers and involved with the school are more successful.

Some people contribute to the Bored Ape Yacht Club ๐ŸŒ in one lane. Apewhale ๐ŸŒ contributes in many. Whether it's building tools, supporting community initiatives, helping new members find their footing, or creating products that celebrate Ape culture, he's constantly showing up and making the ecosystem better for everyone around him. Many Apes know him as the force behind Boring Merch ๐ŸŒ, one of the premier merchandise manufacturers in the ecosystem. Through Boring Merch, he's helped bring countless ideas to life and has collaborated with numerous brands and communities throughout BAYC and beyond. From custom swag to official BAYC inventory, ApeWhale has helped turn digital communities into something tangible that people can wear, collect, and proudly represent. But he didn't stop there. He's currently working on an card set featuring the IP of Apes throughout the community. It's the kind of project that captures the creativity and culture that make this the best club on the internet, and we can't wait to see it come to life. When it comes to protecting the community, ApeWhale stepped up once again by creating Alert Apes ๐ŸŒ. The initiative helps identify bad actors and provides a database where members can research suspicious accounts and review evidence tied to reported behavior. In a space where trust matters, he's built tools that help keep fellow Apes informed and safer. His impact on Welcome Apes cannot be overstated either. ApeWhale has been with us since day one as a committee member. Long before the website existed, he secured the domain because he believed in what we were building. Over the years, he's consistently volunteered his time, ideas, and support whenever needed. The funny thing is, none of these accomplishments fully capture who ApeWhale is. He's the guy helping someone get set up in Othersidemeta. He's the guy making sure a new member has their BAYC profile properly configured. He's the guy answering questions, making introductions, connecting people, and helping others succeed without asking for anything in return. And if you've spent enough time around him, you've probably also been reminded that aquamarine is objectively superior to orange. At the end of the day, ApeWhale represents something bigger than any single project. He embodies the spirit of picking up a shovel and contributing. He reminds us that the strength of this club has never come from the artwork alone. It comes from people who invest their time, energy, and talents into helping others. He's a builder. He's a supporter. He's a protector. He's the kind of Ape that makes this club better simply by being part of it. Congratulations to ApeWhale, our June: Ape of the Month.

My faith journey! I grew up Baptist but was disfellowshipped from the church I grew up in in 2014 due to being in an interracial relationship. We went to different denominations until the missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints knocked on the door. I had been studying anti-Mormon and anti-JW literature and apologetics so I was ready to debate. I did fairly well, missionaries left discouraged but left me with a Book of Mormon. I decided to read it and underline mistakes or doctrinal errors. I was heavily convinced by the time I reached 2 Nephi 25:26 that this was true and I needed to reach out to the missionaries, so I decided to get baptized and my fiancรฉ did too. We were married a couple of weeks later in the chapel. We received a blessing that next year and ended up with twins but we went inactive before we could be sealed. In 2020, my wife and I separated due to my ego and selfishness. I wanted to experience the world. I wanted the fast life; the women, parties, and recognition. It was empty happiness. The happiness always faded and I went to bed alone with no kids or wife. The alcohol always wore off. We ended up getting back together in the fall of 2020 before we finalized the divorce. She was a believer, I considered myself agnostic. She couldnโ€™t attend church because we lived 40 minutes away from the chapel and it was a huge burden to carry 3 kids to church by herself (our 3rd child was born in 2018). On February 1, 2024 one of my best friends took his life. I was devastated. I had nothing to lean on. This guy was very strong and we worked out together all the time. He showed no signs of depression or self-harm. If someone that strong could get so low that theyโ€™d take their own life, what hope was there for me? I gave my life to Christ that day. I didnโ€™t go back to church until a month later after his funeral. We went to Little Rock on the Saturday of his funeral. We stayed the night and went to a park with the kids to play. A stranger walked up and started talking to us. He asked if I was a member for some reason. I told him I used to be, but struggled to reconcile science and religion. He was a scientist! He studied non-Hodgkin lymphoma at UAMS. He really helped to increase my faith and I started reading scripture again. We went back to church that next week and was baptized about a month and a half later, rejoining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Iโ€™m preparing to receive the Melchizedek priesthood now, and ultimately to receive my endowment and be sealed to my family. No matter how far youโ€™ve strayed, or how far way you get from God, he is always waiting with his outstretched arms ready to welcome you home. Check out my new TikTok: mglunsford #LDSx #Christian

VTubing is for everyone! I don't like to bring this up, but recent events in the VTuber community made some people really vile. I had my M&G at HolMat last week and had people come up and just yell at me for being a girl in the "womans world", that is VTubing, no idea about who I was, or why I was there. I had the same group return to my handler multiple times, I felt really worried about the person carrying me around having to deal with this repeatedly and tried to steer them away from the group. It seems they found my YT and left me a handful of the same comments, luckily all caught by moderation tools. While I will refrain from M&G's for a little until this calms down I want to say this; I have been managing for over 1.5 years now, I deliberately take on male VTubers to show them that they can still do it. I take on people that have babiniku accounts, those that are changing from one gender presentation to another and want help, and those that have no gender presentation in their avatar. A lot of male VTubers struggle to find a manager because the stereotype is that all male VTubers are evil and it perpetuates a stereotype that extends beyond entertainment industry subcultures like streaming. VTubing has always been a medium, while character and marketing matters, it's about what makes you happy, YOU are the person that makes the content. Use whatever you want as an avatar, use a voice changer if that's what you want to do. Every month I have a male client bring up they can't do it the same way, that it's easier if jiggle physics or a cute voice is the answer to fast growth. And I tell them yeah, I can also do ASMR, I can do drama content, collab with a larger person, and get to x amount of viewers. There are shortcuts in every entertainment profession and subculture. Does it last? Do quick fixes for anything ever last? Yes, great physics and an expensive model can get people in, but if your value, your way of interacting with people, your content plan and marketing is ass, you can pack up. Most of us start on a small budget, premade or resold models, and it's the same in the big league entertainment industry too. Can I take out a loan and put myself on a billboard tomorrow, can I pay the most expensive model artist and rigger and get in along corporate VTubers tomorrow? Sure. Will it last, will it be genuine, will people trust me? Hell no. Genuine communities and growth build trust. I think streaming, creative industries, entertainment, are full of people, regardless of gender, that will see success and call it "easy", because of what they see as the end product. They don't see most VTubers working a second job, they don't see the managers, they don't see 100+ hours a month going into content production, years invested in singing and voice lessons, model redebut after redebut. I think a lot of male VTubers get a bad rep, because so many boys are raised without putting emphasis on empathy and creativity, watching my brothers be told they should not pursue art, that theatre class is a waste of time, and that they needed to go study x or y to make money for their families in the future was heartbreaking. Nobody should have to look at others and feel so much hatred for society they turn against a whole group of people. If you want to pursue entertainment, please do. If you want to grow and try and make a name for yourself, you should start there, not with yelling about how you already failed. "Oh but I can't", "Oh but the odds are stacked against me", look at the big streamers, look at Ironmouse who overcame everything with hard work, look at Kiara who rose from the ashes, look at everyone that fights against their odds every day and give it your all. If you already think you lost, then you have nothing to lose. Don't give up on your dreams because others tell you to.

FIFA is floating a 64-team World Cup, and the whole football world is groaning. I am not. I just think they will do it badly, because they always do it badly. So here is the version that works. Sixteen groups of four. Two advance. That gives you a clean 32-team knockout bracket and kills the ugliest thing about the current format, those eight best third-place finishers they invented because 48 does not divide cleanly into anything. It was a fudge and everyone knew it. Sixty-four fixes it by accident. 127 matches. 64 nations. And the champion still plays only eight games. You doubled the field and did not add a step to the winner's road. Now the part that changes everything. One group, one city. Sixteen groups. Sixteen host cities. Your group plays every match in the same place. Fans book one hotel, one flight, one week off work, and settle in. Right now a supporter chases their team across a continent, three cities, three flights, three hotels, and half of them just give up and watch from home. Under this, a city does not host a match. A city adopts four countries for two weeks. And oh, the cities are going to have opinions. Whoever draws Japan should just relax. Those fans will stay after every match and clean the stadium, and if they get bored they may simply tidy up the whole city while they are at it. You will get your town back better than you left it. Whoever draws Scotland needs to order the booze in advance. All of it. Call your distributor now. The Tartan Army will be the best-behaved, most joyful, most catastrophically thirsty guests you have ever hosted, and they will make lifelong friends of everyone they meet, right up until the beer runs out and there is a diplomatic incident. Whoever draws the Netherlands needs to source orange buses. And orange everything. Those people will turn your downtown into a citrus flood, they will bring a marching band nobody asked for, and honestly it will be the best two weeks your city has ever had. Whoever draws Argentina, may God be with you. Whoever draws Norway, get the salmon in. Whoever draws Mexico, congratulations, your city just became a party and you were not consulted. That is a World Cup. Not a logistics exercise. A town square with the whole world in it. And here is the money. The moment the seeding is announced, the entire bracket exists. Every path, every matchup, every city, on one sheet of paper, months out. Bracket mania. Global bracket mania. Americans fill out 60 to 70 million brackets every March for a college basketball tournament. Office pools. Group chats. Grandmothers picking by mascot. It is the most engaging fortnight on our calendar and it exists entirely because you can see the whole map at once. Now do that with the entire planet. Which means killing the draw. Let us be honest about what that ceremony is. A man in a suit pulling balls from a bowl while the world pretends the biggest decision of the tournament was left to chance. It is a plot device, and it always bends the same direction. Toward the money, toward the hosts, toward the broadcast windows. The draw is not a ritual. It is a lever. So do it the American way. A committee seeds all 64, publishes the criteria, announces the bracket live, then defends it in public while the whole planet screams at the television. Transparency does not kill the drama. It creates it. And oh yeah. Kill the third place game. Nobody cares that you are the second best loser. Two heartbroken teams playing an exhibition in front of people who came for something else. No child has ever dreamed of lifting that trophy. Cut it. More nations. Cleaner bracket. One city per group. A bracket you can hold in your hand. Show me the committee. Show me the criteria. Then hand me a pen. I have picks to make. ๐Ÿฆ‹

โ€œHello?โ€ โ€œPatrikโ€ฆMarshawn is gone.โ€ โ€œWhat do you mean?โ€ โ€œHe died.โ€ *drops phone, tears fall* โ€”โ€” Iโ€™ve tried so many times to find words since answering my phone early Thursday morning, but nothing qualifies to relay the devastation โ€” the shattered heart knowing we had spoken not long before. Iโ€™ve replayed so many of our talks in my mind since that call. The first day you arrived in Dallas wearing that huge smile, so ready to make your family and your mom proud, and you did. The endless talks we had about comics, anime and gaming, always comparing notes on each topic and promising weโ€™d squad up on Marvel Rivals next offseason when we both have time. Timeโ€ฆ the thing we tell ourselves we have but never truly do. ๐Ÿ’” The talks we had after you had a tough game or practice, or injury, still smiling, always smiling; and outwardly the eternal optimist even while you fought those demons that I am personally all too familiar with. Mine nearly claimed me as well. You fought them in the dark while always being the light for others, and that is your legacy: selflessness, graciousness, humility, kindness, authenticity and compassion. Anyone who has ever caught us laughing during our talks or wondered where I was only to find us off to the side talking about so many different things knows I lost a little brother on Nov. 6, 2025. And to know what I lost you to, given how passionately I advocate for mental health, will haunt my days until I see you again. But, until I do, just know your passing will only embolden me to be even more unrelenting in preaching mental health, and especially for boys and men who think silence is strength when the opposite is true when help is needed. And if that saves just one person, then you will not have passed in vain. Rest peacefully, Shawn. You told me a couple days prior: โ€œOK bet, Iโ€™ll see you later, Pat!โ€ You will, but I still have work to do here first, and that includes making sure youโ€™re never forgotten and that the memory of you never fades in peopleโ€™s minds. I am blessed to know I said the following to you while you were here to hear it, but one more time for old timeโ€™s sake: โ€œI love you, bro. Take care of yourself.โ€ ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ P.S. You win. Naruto is the best anime, and I was kidding, because you were always S-Rank. ๐Ÿ–ค #iykyk You didnโ€™t have to try to level solo, though. No goodbyes. Ttyl. We said goodbye to our beloved Odom last night as it was his time to go. To say I am devastated would be an understatement because that dog has saved my life more times than I could even begin to fathom. To be with him at the end of his amazing life was an honor I do not take for granted. Most of my days and routines over the last few years were centered around him and ensuring that he received what he needed. Whether it was receiving insulin for his diabetes at the same times every day or planning walks and meals to accommodate what worked best for him, my schedule revolved around what he needed. To some, this might seem like a nuisance. For me, it made me better. I made his routines my routines. Walking him twice a day gave me time to reflect and appreciate all of the good in my life. Planning time for his exercise ensured I did the same for myself. Being immediately anchored by his weight on a walk because he wanted to appreciate something he had noticed taught me to slow down and take in moments in a way I wasnโ€™t used to. His routine was my routine, and it made me better. When I first saw him at the Edmonton Humane Society Society, I wasnโ€™t ready for a dog. My brother Alec was there, and he saw me with Odom, and he knew that I was in love immediately. I didnโ€™t find Odom, but Odom found me. I left, not taking him home and immediately knew it was a mistake, and that he was meant to be in my life. I went to the Edmonton Humane Society the next day, 30 minutes before it opened, to ensure that I would be the first person to go through the doors. I headed straight for where Odom was, and he came home with me that day. With all of the ups and downs I have had in my life since, my love and pride in that dog were a constant. I am terribly sad, and I am taking solace in this quote from Andrew Garfield on grief: โ€œThis is all the unexpressed love, the grief that will remain with us until we pass because we never get enough time with each other, no matter if someone lives till 60, 15, or 99.โ€ I love that dog because that dog loved me. Bye Odomโ€ฆYou will always be my best friend.

๐ŸšจLionel Scaloni on the strange way Argentina played against Spain: โ€ข Reporter: Lionel, welcome home, and congratulations on reaching another World Cup final. But many fans were surprised by Argentinaโ€™s performance against Spain, it didnโ€™t look like the team weโ€™d seen throughout the tournament. What happened? ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธLionel Scaloni: โ€œFirst, congratulations to Spain. They deserved to be world champions and handled the final better than we did. I understand why people have questions. From the outside, a lot looked unusual. But football has stories the public never sees. Some things happen inside a dressing room, and out of respect for everyone involved, they should stay there.โ€ โ€ข Reporter: Before kick-off, Messi told the team, โ€˜Letโ€™s forget about everything. Letโ€™s just play.โ€™ There was no applause, and players like Enzo Fernรกndez and Lisandro Martรญnez looked emotional. It felt very different. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธScaloni: โ€œEvery dressing room has emotional moments before a final. Cameras capture seconds, not the full picture. I wonโ€™t discuss private conversations, but everyone who stepped onto that pitch gave everything for Argentina.โ€ โ€ข Reporter: Fans also noticed Messi during the warm-up, with some saying he looked distracted and even missed shots deliberately. Was something wrong? ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธScaloni: โ€œPeople can interpret body language however they want. Leo has his own routine after thousands of matches. Itโ€™s unfair to judge his mindset from a few minutes of footage.โ€ โ€ข Reporter: Lautaro Martรญnez barely seemed involved despite being important throughout the tournament. Enzo Fernรกndez and Leandro Paredes also played with an aggression that seemed out of character. Was something affecting the squad mentally? ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธScaloni: โ€œFinals change games. Spain controlled long periods, and that affects every player. Sometimes what looks strange is simply the result of facing a great opponent.โ€ โ€ข Reporter: After losing Cristian Romero and Lisandro Martรญnez to injury, Argentina became much more defensive. Many fans felt that invited Spain onto you. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธScaloni: โ€œLosing two key defenders in a World Cup final forces difficult decisions. Looking back, everyone can question them, including me but every change was made to help the team.โ€ โ€ข Reporter: Argentina also struggled to keep the ball, Messi barely saw possession, and Spain kept winning it back. It didnโ€™t resemble your tournament performances. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธScaloni: โ€œSpain deserve huge credit because they forced mistakes no other team could. But we were also below our usual level. Whether it was nerves, fatigue, or simply an off night, we never found our rhythm.โ€ โ€ข Reporter: Finally, Messi missed out on the Golden Ball, with Rodri winning it instead. Many Argentina fans believe Messi deserved it. What do you think? ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธScaloni: โ€œIndividual awards will always divide opinions. For me, Leo had an extraordinary tournament and led this team brilliantly. A trophy doesnโ€™t define what he achieved. As for everything else thatโ€™s being saidโ€ฆ football has a way of revealing the truth over time. There are things I know, there are things I prefer to keep private, and there are things that people will continue to speculate about. My job isnโ€™t to fuel speculation. Maybe one day certain stories will be understood more clearly, but today isnโ€™t that day.โ€

โ€˜I was screamingโ€™: Scientists shocked as dolphins filmed using shells to trap prey for the first time | New York Post Researchers are shell-shocked at the latest marine discovery. Dolphins have been filmed using shells to ensnare their prey off the coast of Australia, marking the first time this clever tactic has been caught on camera, per a bombshell paper in Marine Mammal Science. โ€œThe second I saw that shell in the air, I immediately knew what was happening,โ€ the studyโ€™s head author, Alexis Levengood, a marine mammal biologist at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, told ScienceAlert. Levengood said she and her team were on a research vessel off Hervey Bay when they spotted a female Pacific bottlenose โ€œdolphin raising something large out of the water,โ€ the BBC reported. She instantly recognized the behavior as โ€œshelling,โ€ when dolphins flush prey into a large empty seasnail shell. Then, the impromptu fish trap to the surface and drains the quarry into their mouths like a fishy oyster shooter. In the dramatic clip captured in 2025, the brainy cetacean can be seen holding a shell aloft, and then dropping it in the water, before snatching up a fish that escaped its calcified prison. โ€œI was screaming to the students that were on the boat with me in excitement, because I was just so excited that we were actually witnessing this here on the east coast,โ€ exclaimed Levengood. While the behavior had been observed in 2013 in Shark Bay, Western Australia, this was the first video evidence of the ingenious prey-snatching method. And this wasnโ€™t some fleeting party trick, either. In another clip from Hervey Bay, a mother and a calf could be seen shelling together, demonstrating that the behavior is passed down from generation to generation and not between peers as previously believed. โ€œWe saw the mother surface with a shell, the fish inside escaped and the dolphin dropped the shell to chase the fish,โ€ said Levengood. โ€œThen, minutes afterwards, the dolphin calf picked up the shell and held it the same way as its mother.โ€ While itโ€™s yet unclear if either was successful in their trapping efforts, the scientist said the โ€œfootage provides the first potential evidence of maternal social transmission โ€” a process by which offspring learn behavior by observing the actions of their mother.โ€ When coupled with the observations from 2013, this eye-opening footage demonstrates how populations of dolphins learned to use tools in the exact same manner despite being thousands of miles apart. โ€œThey may have both invented this or innovated this independently of one another, or itโ€™s even possible that there might be some populations up north that are doing this that we donโ€™t even know about yet,โ€ Levengood told Science Alert. She concluded that either way, โ€œthese findings highlight just how smart, clever, and innovative dolphins are.โ€ On a larger scale, shelling could also help shed light on how humans evolved to use tools as well. โ€œBut better understanding of shelling and other tool use in non-human animals will continue to teach us more about ourselves and how and why we evolved the way we did,โ€ said Levengood.

Seedance 2.0 on Higgsfield AI delivers some of the best camera motion, consistency, and creative control I've seen in AI video generation. Full Open-sourced prompts & assets below: SCENE CONTEXT A bright summer afternoon on the coastal road: the young man drives the mint scooter down toward the sea with the young woman riding behind him, arms around his waist โ€” an easy, happy ride past the railway crossing along the water. ACTIVE REFERENCES >> โ€” young woman, 20 years old, 165 cm tall, slender, straight dark brown hair with side-swept bangs pinned by a small black clip, freckles across her cheeks and nose. 100% matches the reference. >> โ€” young man, 22 years old, 178 cm tall, lean, sun-tanned, messy dark hair under a tan baseball cap worn backwards. 100% matches the reference. >> โ€” vehicle: vintage mint-green scooter with a brown leather saddle, chrome mirrors and silver wheels. 100% matches the reference. >> โ€” location: coastal road curving downhill past a railway crossing with yellow-and-black crossbuck signs, utility poles and wires, stone embankment walls, an orange convex traffic mirror on a pole, the open sea with white-capped waves behind. LOCATION MAP The road from >> curves downhill through the midground toward the railway crossing, the sea filling the background beyond it. Stone embankments rise on both sides, the orange convex mirror stands on the right shoulder in the near foreground, utility poles line the curve. Their path: down the curve, past the crossing, along the water toward screen-left. Primary light: bright seaside daylight, sun high, wind off the sea. FIRST FRAME AND SPATIAL BLOCKING The first visible frame already contains >> rolling down the curve with both riders aboard โ€” >> driving, hands on the grips, >> seated close behind him, arms wrapped around his waist, her head just above his shoulder, a full head shorter than him. No empty establishing frame, no delayed reveal. He drives in every segment; she is always the passenger. FORMAT MODE Controlled four-segment multi-shot sequence: one INSERT CUT and two HARD CUTS. Real-time motion at an easy unhurried scooter pace. Every segment is shot handheld โ€” no static shot anywhere in the sequence. OPTICS LENS LOCK SEGMENT 1 = 47ยฐ diagonal field of view, standard normal lens character, camera 12 to 15 meters at the roadside, the scooter and both riders full in frame with the crossing and sea behind, straight lines rectilinear, no fisheye. Soft vintage lens rendering: gentle edge softness, mild halation in the bright sky and sea glare, even brightness across the whole frame โ€” no vignette, corners stay as bright as the center. This rendering applies to every segment. LENS LOCK SEGMENT 2 = 29ยฐ diagonal field of view, short telephoto character, camera 3 to 4 meters tracking alongside from a following vehicle, close two-shot of their faces and shoulders, the sea streaming soft behind them. LENS LOCK SEGMENT 3 = 29ยฐ, camera 1.5 to 2 meters, tight insert on her hands clasped at his stomach, the mint body and brown saddle below, road surface blurring past. LENS LOCK SEGMENT 4 = 47ยฐ, camera 10 to 12 meters behind the orange convex mirror on the right shoulder, the mirror large in the near foreground reflecting the road, the real scooter passing through the frame and receding along the sea. No drift mid-segment. CAMERA Handheld in every segment with no exceptions โ€” a real operator at the roadside and in a following vehicle: the frame breathes with shoulder sway and soft micro-tremor visible in every second, small late reframes chasing the scooter and easing back; the tracking shot carries gentle road vibration on top of the hand movement; the insert trembles slightly more; the mirror wide breathes slower but never freezes. No tripod stillness, no gimbal smoothness, no stabilization anywhere. On top, the footage behaves like an old film print running through a projector: constant subtle gate weave, faint exposure flicker, occasional tiny dust specks and hairline scratches, image soft and slightly diffused like an aged 16mm print โ€” never sharp, never digitally clean, no vignette or darkened corners at any moment. ACTION TIMING 0.0s to 3.5s โ€” Roadside wide: the mint scooter putters down the curve at an easy pace, leaning gently with the bend; >> relaxed at the grips, >> pressed close behind him, her hair and skirt hem streaming in the sea wind; they pass the yellow-and-black crossing signs with the white-capped sea glittering beyond. 3.5s HARD CUT 3.5s to 6.5s โ€” Tracking close two-shot: she rests her chin almost on his shoulder and says something teasing into his ear โ€” lips moving without audible words; he barks a laugh, shaking his head, cap holding snug; she grins wide against the wind, bangs whipping, eyes squinting happily. 6.5s INSERT CUT 6.5s to 8.5s โ€” Tight insert: her hands clasped over his stomach, fingers laced, giving a little squeeze as the scooter sways through a bend; the mint body flexes light reflections, the road surface streams underneath in soft blur. 8.5s HARD CUT 8.5s to 12.0s โ€” Wide past the orange convex mirror: the tiny reflection of the scooter slides across the round mirror in the foreground a beat before the real scooter enters and crosses the frame, unhurried, the two of them small against the vast bright sea; she tips her head back and laughs into the wind as they recede along the coast; the engine putter fades. PHYSICS The scooter carries real combined weight: soft suspension compression over road seams, a gentle lean into each bend with both bodies tilting as one, slight throttle sway she counterbalances by gripping tighter; engine vibration trembles through their sleeves; wind at riding speed streams her hair, his tee and her skirt hem backward continuously with fabric flutter; the sea wind adds gusts; the convex mirror reflection tracks their motion with true optics. LIGHTING Bright seaside daylight only โ€” no artificial light. Aged film print look: the sky and the glittering sea bloom into a soft white-gold haze with visible halation rings, gentle glow hanging in the air, creamy highlights rolling off softly. Faded pastel grade of an old print: lifted milky blacks, warm ivory and honey tones over softened sea blues, the mint scooter body reading as a gentle washed pastel green, the orange mirror and yellow-black signs as warm muted accents โ€” never oversaturated; slightly yellowed whites, low contrast, colors gently washed as if the print has aged for twenty years, heavy visible film grain crawling in every frame, delicate haze. Exposure stays natural across the frame โ€” no added vignette, no darkened edges or corners. The whole image reads as an old 2000s Japanese film discovered on a dusty reel. No crisp modern digital look, no cool color cast. AUDIO SFX only, with the worn texture of an old optical soundtrack โ€” slightly muffled, faint constant hiss: the soft putter of the small scooter engine rising and fading with the throttle, wind buffeting past, waves breaking below the road, gull cries, her bright laugh snatched by the wind, the faint tick of the engine at the far end. No music, no intelligible spoken words, no captions, no score. POSITIVE LOCKS Identities lock 100% to >> and >> in every segment โ€” same outfits as their references throughout, her natural 165 cm and his 178 cm with true relative proportions, his cap staying backwards and snug at riding speed in every shot. >> drives in every segment; >> rides pillion with her arms around his waist from first frame to last, hands unclasping never. The scooter stays 100% >> โ€” mint-green body, brown saddle, chrome mirrors โ€” in every shot. Road geography stays consistent with >> across all cuts: downhill curve, crossing signs, embankments, orange mirror on the right shoulder, sea always beyond the road; travel direction constant toward screen-left. Handheld breathing holds in every single segment, and the aged-film texture holds identically throughout: grain, gate weave, flicker, dust, halation and faded grade never weaken, frame stays vignette-free with even corner brightness; no segment turns rigid, stabilized, sharp or digitally clean. Only these two people appear; the road stays otherwise empty, no cars, no train.

Our son's teacher used to call us weekly with complaints. Last Friday during his parent/teacher check-in, she asked what we did to transform him. The answer: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). It all started with him not being able to burn his additional energy. Our kid was and still is hyperactive, couldn't fall asleep before 12am/1am, fidgeted through every school lesson, constantly snappy with us and his teachers. Some of our friends were calling him the duracell bunny (in reference to the battery ad) and we were genuinely worried this was just who he was. We tried a few different sports as our idea was that he didn't have any activity that involved burning his energy. Football, swimming, running him around the park until dark. He'd come home exhausted but his mind would still be racing at bedtime. The energy was there, but nothing seemed to actually settle him. My brother has been training and coaching kids BJJ since he was young. He kept telling us to bring our son. Tbh, we were skeptical - how would a combat sport help a kid who already couldn't sit still? But we were desperate as school was getting worse and the nightly battles were exhausting everyone. So at 5 years old, we signed him up. The first 6 months, he started falling asleep faster and not just because he was tired (he'd been tired before), but because BJJ teaches you to control your body and your mind simultaneously. He was learning to actually settle himself. The 11pm bedtime battles turned into peaceful 9pm nights. But what really caught us off guard was the respect. Every single class - bow when you enter/when you leave, wait your turn, shake hands with your opponent, listen to your coach. It gets drilled in through pure repetition. Not lectures, not punishment..just practice. 100 times per class, every class, for years. His teachers also noticed the change. He could finally sit through lessons, pay attention, actually remember what was discussed. Homework became manageable because he'd developed the patience to learn. He was less snappy and more willing to listen. The hardest part were in the first couple of years as he wanted to quit constantly. The usual kids reasons - i'm tired of BJJ, I don't want to train anymore etc. There were nights we genuinely questioned if we were pushing him too hard, if we were doing the right thing. But we kept him going. My brother being his coach helped, but honestly it was just us trusting that something would click eventually. And then in year 4, it did. He found his training partner, made real friends at the gym. Suddenly he was asking when his next class was. Going to support his teammates at competitions even when he wasn't competing himself. This year, the transformation was complete. His teacher went from calling us weekly to pulling us aside asking what we did. The fidgety, unfocused kid who couldn't sit still was competing in tournaments, winning medals, excelling at school, and genuinely looking forward to training. Here's what we got wrong for years: we kept trying to calm him down. Turns out, he didn't need calming.. he needed somewhere to put that energy. Other sports just tired him out. BJJ gave him an outlet that required both physical exhaustion and mental focus. And here's the thing few people talk about: BJJ is teaching him to lose. Not avoid failure but to face it. He still gets frustrated sometimes, still has moments where the tears come after a tough roll or a competition loss. But he's getting better at it. He processes it faster now, gets back up quicker. Most kids' activities try to avoid failure or sugarcoat it. BJJ makes you face it every single class and there's no hiding from it. That resilience is slowly building, and it's showing up everywhere. Homework frustrations don't spiral like they used to. Mistakes are becoming learning opportunities instead of total meltdowns. And he's even getting better at maths due to his concentration levels improving. If your kid can't sit still, can't focus, struggles with sleep, and school is calling home weekly do give BJJ a shot before assuming it's just who they are. Not for the discipline but for the outlet. The discipline comes later. Here's my son at his last competition. That's the kid who couldn't sit still for 5 minutes.
