The little girl clearly knows her dad and wants to go to him, but the staff member is physically holding onto her arm and refusing to let her go. He’s calmly explaining he’s her father, but the staff won’t release her. The dad starts recording and eventually police are called. What do you think is going on here? Mom goes OFF: “He’s lucky it wasn’t ME behind him—I would’ve sped up, blared the horn, and pulled his ass over myself!” Neighborhood got the full cussing-out. Real reason she’s this mad? They’ve lost three family members to car accidents. Not playing around. Parents of teens… you pulling your kid over too or what?

But before taking him inside, he had one important thing to do. His wife had told him to keep a close eye on their son, so he carefully put the bike back where it landed, had his son stay in the same spot for a second, and snapped a photo. 😂 Only after getting his evidence did he help his son up. Every parent knows that sometimes you need a little proof before trying to explain what happened. 🤣

Today is Scott Saville's final broadcast at KCRG-TV9. But did you know that before he was a legend at channel 9, he spent a couple years telling stories at Broadcast Park? Here's just a small sample of some of his best work from the early 90s. On a personal note, I was a kid lucky enough to grow up in a tweener viewing area where we got both Des Moines and Cedar Rapids stations. So on any given night I could watch Keith Murphy or Scott Saville. Both men were early inspirations in my desire to work in sports one day. Scott's always going to be one of the best to ever do this job in Iowa. His ability to engage with the viewer, both on and off camera, is second to none. He's funny, and finds a way to make every story relatable. A kind man who never acted like he was too important to talk to a fan, or give advice to a colleague. We're all going to miss Scott Saville. Cheers to the next chapter.

This dad walks outside to check on his son riding his little toy tricycle. Dad is just causally looking around the yard and neighborhood when suddenly he looks down and notices his son is choking. He picks him up and pats his back numerous times trying to dislodge the food. His son starts screaming and crying. Screaming and crying from a child who was choking is the best sound you will ever hear at a moment like that. 💯 Dad didn’t panic. Love his quick reaction and the “why did you eat so much fish sticks at one time bro?” is hilarious given the seriousness of what just happened. I remember my mom always telling us not to eat when we were playing. Never thought much about it but now it makes sense. So glad his little son was okay. ❤️ I watched my little brother choke when I was a kid and my uncle saved him. Scary and so tense when this happens. Have you ever had to help save someone from choking? One of your kids? A family member or friend maybe?

How little Mario became Super Mario 🐶🥰 When I got the call about a little dog who’d been beaten up I dreaded seeing him but nothing prepared me for how small he was. The wonderful caring locals had tried to patch him up with a wooden splint and some DIY medicine because they simply didn’t have any money to fix him. We later established he’d been beaten up from cctv footage (more on that soon hopefully). Driving home on the bike from the vets I called him Mario because I vowed one day we’d be able to call him Super Mario. That day was a long way off as his little leg was hanging off and he was black and blue and generally in agony. After a 2 week hospital trip to the mainland little Mario started to heal up. He had several complications given the seriousness of his injuries and some big bills but he came back like a new dog. He’ll heal up just lovely and the best part is the beating doesn’t seem to have affected him mentally. He’s a jolly and friendly little boy. Next up for Mario is a month of healing and then a forever home. We agreed with the locals that they would prefer to see him safe and sound and away from the person who did this. Today he does indeed have his full name… Super Mario. He says he has no anger in him and he’s just focusing on the only thing he knows how to do which is being a very good boy.
