Princess Of Wales Visits Wakefield Rugby And Community Groups The Princess of Wales made a special visit to Wakefield Trinity Rugby League Club in Wakefield, West Yorkshire today. She met community members involved in charity programmes tackling isolation, joined a rugby skills session with local girls, and spoke with organisers about outreach activities aimed at supporting vulnerable young people and older residents. The visit forms part of her wider engagements in northern England, where she has been highlighting how sport, creativity and connection help support wellbeing and local communities.

Sport is a major part of our Men and Boys agenda in government. That’s why it was great to visit Castleford Tigers - to speak about mental health, social isolation and the power of sport. Rugby league is at the heart of so many communities, and clubs do outstanding work helping people through the most difficult times. The Men’s Health Strategy committed more investment for community based projects to help with the mental health. This is vital - suicide remains one of the biggest killers of men aged under 50. As Adam Hills rightly puts it… Rugby League is a game for everyone. It is an inclusive game that has welcomed our initiatives to the LGBTQ community with open arms. Ever since owning the club, in 2019, Kaue and Ryan had some crazy ideas to show support and give visibility to their community, and Keighley couldn’t have been more welcoming. And this coming week, we extend our support to Ukraine. 🇺🇦 With the help of our amazing sponsors, , we will bring 9 Ukrainian teens all the way from Kyiv to Keighley, so they get to spend a week training with our players, and playing the sport they love, showing this sport has no borders and is one that welcomes ALL. It has been a huge pleasure for us today to welcome former Coventry City manager Mark Robins to award him with an Honorary Doctorate of Business Administration 👏 Mark oversaw promotions from League Two and League One, while also taking his side to within a penalty kick of a return to the Premier League. Coventry City also won the EFL Trophy in 2017 and reached an FA Cup semi-final last season for the first time since 1987. While all good things must come to an end, we were delighted to recognise the positive impact that he's had on football and the community of Coventry as a whole. #PUSB #CCFC

Our friends at North Shore Animal League America teamed up with New York Mets Star Slugger Pete Alonso and his Alonso Foundation to help transport over a dozen homeless animals recently - and the Baby Doge Mobile Unit was used to make it all happen! The Bradford Bulls have unveiled a modern new look, replacing its 30-year old logo with a new identity, representing an exciting new era for the club. The new logo is part of a full club rebrand that represents a new Bulls for the 2026 season, following its return to the Super League. Keen to reflect the changes the club has been through over the last three years, on and off the field, the logo has been modernised but draws elements of its brand identity from its history. The iconic V from the Bulls’ glory era is represented in the head of the Bull. Whilst the new Bullhorn font is more dynamic, it retains the colours and the curved structure of the logo it replaces. The two halves of the bull's shoulders represent a rugby ball, whilst the four stars symbolise the club’s four Super League titles. The new emblem will be incorporated into all branding over the coming months, with fresh merchandise and the new kit hitting online and physical stores this month. Jason Hirst, CEO at Bradford Bulls, said: “Rejoining the Betfred Super League 2026 and full-time professionalism heralds another new era for our great club. “There are striking similarities to 30-years ago when Super League, professional summer Rugby League and Bradford Bulls were all born. “Today’s changes, whilst not as seismic as our name change in 1996, are nevertheless an important day in our club’s history. Our new club crest perfectly captures the direction of the future Bradford Bulls. “It’s more confident, aggressive and defiant, which is exactly the philosophy and approach we’ll be taking into Super League, both on the field and off it, in terms of our marketing and media approach. “Whilst we have the same heart, the same pride, we’re also coming back as a different beast. “Everyone in UK Rugby League has an opinion on Bradford Bulls. The Moment Rose The Dog Is Rescued After Eight-Day Trapped Underground Caught On Camera A heartwarming story of community spirit and resilience has unfolded in #Halifax as a dog named Rose was successfully rescued from a perilous situation. Rose had fallen through a 12-inch gap in the rock face on Thursday, September 26, becoming trapped underground. A dedicated group of volunteers immediately sprang into action, working tirelessly to free the frightened animal. The community rallied behind the rescue efforts, providing food, fuel, and manpower to support the volunteers. Despite the challenging circumstances, their determination remained unwavering. Initially, Firefighters and Technical Rescue teams were called to the scene, but they deemed the task too dangerous and left the volunteers to handle the rescue operation. Over a week later, their perseverance paid off as #Rose was finally pulled to safety. The successful rescue is a testament to the power of community and the unwavering dedication of those involved. Well done to all who contributed to this rescue.
