260815 young k full ending ment honestly, i thought i’d be less nervous today than i was yesterday. but bc i try to give my best in every moment, maybe i gave too much of my best yesterday. when i woke up this morning, i was like, “oh no, my voice… pls, just hold on for two more days.” so i’ve been warming up my voice the entire time in the waiting room, telling myself, “it’s going to be ok. once you’re up there, you’ll do fine. future u will figure it out.” tbh, i felt the same way yesterday. but somehow, it worked out. i think the stage is a place where miraculous things happen. things that make no sense happen there. i mean, ppl can practically fly in the air, u know? and while i’m saying all this, there might even be autotune on my voice right now. also, the songs where my voice doesn’t comes out suddenly came out and i think that’s bc of the strength i got from all of u. if my voice was going to work from the start, it should have been working since rehearsals. the directors and staff were so worried. it was complete chaos this morning. usually, i’ve never had throat lozenges waiting for me on stage before, but for the first time they were prepared. yet after sweating together and shouting together, my voice started coming back. that’s what scares me the most. not that i might sing badly, but bc i know it wasn’t easy for u to be here today. i know getting here wasn’t easy. i’ve been staying nearby for 3 nights and 4 days myself. but beyond that, u bought tickets and ticketing itself isn’t easy. thank u. i heard it sold out very quickly. it’s not just that. making time in ur everyday life, finding extra time and energy to come here, choosing to support someone… i know that’s not easy. that’s why i want to repay u for it. my biggest fear is that my voice or my body might not hold up, and i won’t be able to give back what u deserve. so, was i able to give something back today? did u become happier? did i do well? that’s such a relief. really, such a relief. i think i want to keep carrying this feeling with me every time i step onto a stage. it’s one of the reasons i couldn’t quit, and also one of the reasons i want to keep moving forward. i hope i can keep standing on stage and singing for a long time. the more i go on, the more interesting singing becomes. even during difficult moments, i’ll discover things like, “oh, if i sing it this way, i can still make it work.” or, “this pronunciation didn’t work before, but if i make the sound this way, it does now.” nobody really notices those things. it’s the same for bass players too, right, jeongpyo? u can barely hear it. at least vocals can be heard properly. but finding those tiny differences on your own, figuring out how to improve the overall quality of a song and a performance, changing a melody, adjusting an ad-lib, rearranging lyrics. the flow of a song can completely change. the nuance changes too. sometimes it sounds commanding, other times gentle. i find all of that fascinating, and i think i’m constantly finding my own joy in it. if u can enjoy that with me, that’s wonderful. but even just supporting me as i continue searching for that joy means so much to me. thank u, always. it feels similar to the lyrics of “thanks to.” *youngk sings thanks to and myday kept singing* go on, keep singing. ah, right. you are my day. there was no way it was going to end after just one line, was it? thank u, always. i feel like i’m finally in a position where i can give back more, and i’ve learned how to take care of myself a little better too. so moving forward, i want to keep making you happy.

✨WORLD WIDE WONDER✨ - Starlight & Wonder - VeXpo! 2026 theme song Now available on Bandcamp! Streaming soon 👇🔗 I want to tell you guys a bit about why this song came to be A song with so many featured singers that the title of the song got initially rejected from streaming platforms for being too long lol I've been so lucky in my career in VTubing that so many of my dreams have already come true. But there were some that, this year, I was determined to make a reality 1 - I wanted to do a live show as WUNDER RiKU 2 - I wanted to release a traditional group idol song 3 - I wanted to appear at VeXpo, Europe's biggest VTuber con that happens right in my home town Somehow, all of these things managed to come true all in one go Next Sunday, I'll be performing onstage at VeXpo as WUNDER RiKU, having written the group idol theme song for the event The theme for VeXpo this year was a Y2K aesthetic, so I wanted to write something that felt both classic and timeless in it's composition, but aesthetically leaning into the R&B/Pop group sound from all the music I grew up listening to The title "World Wide Wonder" came from the "World Wide Web", the explosion of the internet that happened around the year 2000s. I thought about what the internet meant to people then, and what it means to us now. Many of us wouldn't have these beautiful passions, friends, communities and livelihoods without it, and I really wanted to capture the earnest hopefulness and connection to others that the internet can bring at it's best. And with the word 'Wonder' in the title, I had to sneak 'Starlight' in there too hehe~ There's a line in the chorus about "we'll shine wider still" that is a subtle nod to British patriotic anthem 'Land of Hope and Glory'. As VeXpo is a British VTuber event, I wanted to sneak in a lyric that was a nod to something from our culture, but also has an important meaning for me. A lot of British anthems were born in the colonial era, and the lyric "wider still, and wider" refers to spreading Britains empire across the world. These words always angered me, as they position concepts of globalisation purely from the perspective of imperial expansion and conquering, instead of connection, broadening our minds and learning about the wider world we live in outside of our tiny bubbles. But the concept of 'wider still' can mean so much more than that. We can spread VTubing wider still. We can share our passions wider still. We can open our hearts wider still. We'll shine wider still. I wanted to take something from our culture that upsets me (the division, the legacy of empire) and create something new, hopeful and inspiring. In the verses, I wanted to tell the story that so many VTubers share- one of going from loneliness and having no sense of purpose, to finding a home, a community, and a love for life once thought lost. I have felt this too. Thank you, every single friend, colleague, WUNDERLiNG and fellow human I've met along this 6 year journey. I wouldn't be here doing this without any of you. Whilst so many dreams have come true this year, it's also been by far one of the most awful years of my life. Even today, I've been crying, feeling betrayed by people who I trusted. But in spite of that, I'll hold on to the message I wrote in this song: "For every broken soul upon the earth Till every lonely voice is heard We won't stop now We'll shine brighter still Till this world wide wonder Of starlight comes our way"
