Full Breakdown on this: "Key Cycle 1162-2" -Tech Stream data gathered from KRs Lexus shows a triggering event where the Lexus travels in reverse 62 Ft at 24.2 MPH. They claim this triggering event is when KR hits JOK. -Using tech stream data, along with data from the Lexus black box, Aperture (crash reconstruction experts) wrote a report. In the report they claim that based on information from the Lexus black box (the time Karen started her ignition) that the triggering event 1162-2 happened from 12:31:38-12:31:43. -This means that Aperture believes Karen Read struck JOK with her SUV sometime between 12:31:38-12:31:43. -On April 28th, Ian Whiffin testified for the CW. During his testimony he stated that JOKs phone data shows that from 12:31:56-12:32:16, JOK was interacting with his phone. He states that after 12:32:16, there is no more interactions between JOK & the phone. -When you compare the two reports, you see that 13 seconds AFTER Aperture claims JOK was struck (12:31:43), Whiffin claims JOK began interacting with his phone (12:31:56). -The medical examiner testified today that the blow to the back of JOKs head would have left him incapacitated. This is huge as the recording went under the radar during Read's first trial. Listen below with enhanced, in both real time and 0.75x speed, and hear Karen clearly saying to Jen: "Can you Google 'how long to die in the cold'" as Jen is on the phone with 911 (the recording is from a voicemail from a different phone that caught Karen speaking to Jen) at the scene where John O'Keefe was found, suffering from a head injury and hypothermia, after Read allegedly struck John with her car --while drunk driving with a BAC 2-4 times over the legal limit-- and left him to die on a lawn at 12:32am that morning. There is a right way to play this game and a wrong way and this is 100% in the wrong. I don’t care that the batter moved back out of the box- you don’t intentionally step back to throw at her head, as hard as you can, from about a foot away. I don’t want to hear “you don’t know it wasn’t intentional.” Save it. The runner at 3rd is about a half step off 3rd. The way the catcher is positioned to throw, that throw is going towards the 3rd base fence. The most telling part though? No one checks on that batter and catcher gets a high five right after from her coach. The batter ended up with a concussion. This is completely unacceptable and has no place in this sport.

Just finishing off my Bradford Bulls vs Leigh Leopards commentary prep and whilst I was jotting a few stats down regarding previous meetings. I found myself wanting to rewatch this Championship classic between the two sides from 2016 at Odsal Stadium. Danny Addy landing the touchline conversion with the last kick of the game to earn the Bradford Bulls a thrilling 32-32 draw against the then named Leigh Centurions. It was a truly remarkable game after Bradford had trailed 32-6 late in the second half before staging a tremendous fightback. Scoring five tries in the last 14 minutes to grab a share of the spoils in front of a near 10,000 crowd. I remember interviewing Leigh head coach Neil Jukes after the game and he couldn't quite believe what he had just witnessed. One of those games that feels a lifetime ago but lives long in the memory. God bless Rugby League.

"Charles, the Prince who fell to earth" OTD in 1994: a RAF BAe 146 on a VIP flight has a runway excursion in Islay (Scotland), no injuries. The approach exceeded jet performance, tailwind was also a factor. Charles (Then Prince of Wales) was at the controls. The report noted the Pilot in Command (which was not HRH) was negligent, and the Navigator failed to warn him during the maneuver. More info here, from ASN ⬇️ "(...)
