On the #InternationalWomensDay, what an honor it is for me to be listed among the other notable experts in their fields working towards women’s rights and gender mainstreaming of the SDG2030. I thank the New York City Bar Association New York City Bar for this important recognition. At a time where conflict related deaths are on its record high, where we see a significant set back of decades of progress in democracies, SDG 5: gender equality far far away from its target line, I still think that today is a great chance to disseminate the best practices of women human rights defender, activists, civil society pioneers and peace makers. We will all continue combat state-led atrocity crimes, lead intergovernmental actions for the release of political prisoners and work towards ending gender-apartheid regimes. I will end with this UN Women’s motto for this year: invest in women, accelerate the progress of peace and security. #InvestingInWomen #March2024
