At around 8 this morning I was only at about 166 degrees when it decided it was going to rain so I hurried up and took it inside and finished it in the oven. I pulled it at about 200 degrees and I knew I was going to rest it in the cooler so I figured I would have 5 degrees to spare. A four hour rest in the cooler turned into a 6 hour rest because I fell asleep and overslept. The bark wasn’t as crispy as I like it to be but the meat is tender and juicy, it cuts easy and falls apart in your hand. Over all it turned out good. I think I’m going to save it for special occasions or when I have a lot of time on my hands.

Remember when Hyunjin noticed Chan hadn't come out of his room for a while, so he walked in to check on him? He got emotional when he saw him lying in bed watching a livestream of the ocean in Australia. He also said he was relieved when Chan visited Australia afterwards so it turned out okay. Hyunjin checking in on him, getting emotional sympathising with him, feeling relieved when he finally went home home, reminded me of that really old video where Hyunjin said he wanted to grow up so Chan can lean on him and be there for him. Hyunjin really meant it and he's been staying true to his word. I love them so much.

Hi! I'm a solo video game developer making my dream game, Northfall. This is how I spent two evenings of my life this week: making a yellow tape suit! I saw an outfit like this in some video game around 2010, but I honestly can't remember which game it was. If you recognize it, please tell me because it's driving me crazy! At first, I thought I could get away with a bunch of cylinders and shrinkwrap modifiers in blender. Turns out, it was way harder than I expected... Then I ran into the next problem: UV unwrapping. My first idea was to draw a texture that perfectly matched all the tape. It was a disaster... Then I remembered something important: video games are all about smoke and mirrors. You don't always have to make things as complicated as they look. So instead of making a huge complicated texture, I made one simple stripe and a few decals. Even then, it wasn't easy. Check out my IFT-2 Tracking footage! This is SUPER LATE (busy with other things) and I initially wasn't planning to upload it but people seemed to enjoy it more than I was expecting on YT....so here it is! Audio has been synced with the moment of ignition. I recommend headphones for the full experience. And crank that volume as high as comfortable if you want to get an idea of what this truly sounded like in person. Side note: I have minimal experience tracking moving objects and am still getting used to doing so while manually adjusting focus. Still turned out decently I think. This was Big Boy's first unplanned stop, just outside Wheatland in the Great Central Valley of California. We had just watched it go by when I looked in the rearview mirror and noticed the train had stopped. We turned around and jumped out of the car, hoping to get a closer view. The sky that day was so dramatic, adding to the scene. Once the freight train passed, Big Boy started rolling again, so we followed it only to find it on the siding again, where we got right up to it as seen in the last video.

Nothing spectacular but I promised to share it yesterday, so here it is. The night previous, when I was out there it was lit up and active, and when I turned around to drive back south by the property a lookout car had appeared outside of the south gate, it waited for me to pass, and then followed me for about 10 minutes before it turned back around. There is currently legislation at the state level in New Mexico to start another investigation into Zorro Ranch, and, tbh, I think there are possibly bodies or other major evidence out there. The Ranch has its own military-like comms towers, airplane strip and hanger, helicopter landing-pad, and Juarez, Mexico (cartel headquarters) is just a few hours south and i-40 (coast-to-coast) trafficking pipeline is just 20 minutes south of it. The FBI NEVER conducted a thorough investigation of the ranch.
