I watched Zulu again last night. What a movie. Who can forget this incredible song? The Welshmen of the 24th answer the Zulu war chant with their own song, Men of Harlech, sung like true gentlemen. The song is an old Welsh march, rooted in the defence of Harlech Castle. At the time of Rorke's Drift, this was not the regimental song, but it was adopted shortly after, albeit with different words but the same tune. These particular lyrics were written especially for the movie. I love it every time I watch it.
