Oil technology has improved a lot & most modern fully synthetic oils such as 5W-30 can comfortably last up to 10,000 km in many petrol engines ( if the manufacturer recommends that interval.) However factoring in idling in traffic & short trips 8,000 or 9,000 km is a sweet spot. With the higher sulfur fuel in our country or if your engine has high mileage 7,500 km is good. A 5,000 km interval for a car recommended at 10,000 only makes sense if you use your car under very high rpms like offroad , towing or very dusty environments. I've seen those WhatsApp group msgs on banning us and honestly we got 99 problems and they aren't one. You see , The main purpose of a pre-purchase inspection is not to tell a client whether to buy a car or not, but to inform them of the exact condition of the unit they intend to purchase. In fact, we make it a point to help clients especially first-time buyers set realistic expectations. You can’t expect a 2010 locally used car to be in the same condition as a fresh import. However, one thing we absolutely refuse to do is lie to clients. If a car is mixing oil with coolant, we say it as it is. If the mileage has been tampered with or the car is full of rust, we call it out. And if any dealer has a problem with that, we honestly couldn’t care less. SORRY NOT SORRY. Anyways, for pre purchase inspections, WhatsApp us on 0729686646.

They then sell these cars to unsuspecting buyers at top prices. This is often done on Auctioned government & accident cars . You find a normal Ford ranger is being sold as a ford raptor, prado 120 sold as 150 or Landcruiser 200 as 300. To protect our clients, we will begin paperwork verification starting this April. This will ensure our clients buy cars that are clean not only mechanically but also in terms of documentation. Of course, we expect sharp resistance from the quacks, but our goal has always been one: THE BUYER MUST KNOW THE ACTUAL CONDITION OF THE CAR BEFORE BUYING. Many people have been asking why we didn’t do the Land Cruiser review immediately after the handover. You see, after Precision Automotive handed over the keys to me, Imran Sokwala told me to go and test the car in the harshest way reasonably possible. He knew my 4×4 wasn’t built for tarmac but for offroad. After testing the car, we would take it back to Precision Automotive with a detailed report on what needs to stay and what needs to go. Only after that we'd do the review. Initially, I was against the bullbar because of the weight, but now I realise we actually need it. And though the high quality plastics on the sides look cool, we will either have to remove them or install a metal guard all around the car. Here’s what happened when we finally went offroad:
