A Met Police spokesperson said: “On Monday, 8 June at around 09:12hrs, police were called to reports of an aggravated burglary on Galbraith Street, Isle of Dogs. “Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service. A 52-year-old man was detained in connection with the incident.” The suspect was sectioned under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital by paramedics following the incident. The guard Rayan bin Saeed Al-Asiri was injured and hospitalised after throwing himself to catch the pilgrim, preventing him from hitting the ground.
