This is extremely disturbing and hard to watch 🚨 A woman at a local river in Maple Ridge allegedly noticed a man being abusive to his daughter so she started recording. She captured a man who’s name is surfacing online as Adrian Phillips grabbing his young daughter, slamming her into the river, and slapping her in the head 😳👀 The girl, who is allegedly autistic, was losing her balance while crossing the river when he grabbed her by her clothing and submerged her. This is heartbreaking. 💔

So this happened last night (3/20/2026) in downtown Victoria, BC. The person recording said that a man, after assaulting a group of women, jumps off the Johnson Street Bridge to evade police. The police arrived quickly on the scene and did get him out of the water to arrest him.

At approximately 8:20 pm on May 12, 2026, Surrey Police Service (SPS) responded to a report of two groups of men fighting at a residence near 133 Street and 89 Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located six males with varying degrees of injuries. All were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The SPS Major Crime Section has now taken over the lead on the investigation. During the initial response, two men were arrested and taken into custody.
