While performing Tawaf around the Ka‘bah with his family, a man suddenly collapsed to the ground and in that sacred moment, his soul returned to its Lord. A wife beside him… a child in his arms… perhaps a family from India, on what began as the journey of a lifetime. A sacred walk around the House of Allah became his final departure from this world.

The sacred Kiswah replacement ceremony of the Holy Ka’bah for 1448 AH is scheduled for the night of Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Following the Asr prayer, preparations will begin with the installation of the Shadharawan support rings at the base of the Ka’bah, along with the removal of the Ka’bah’s door curtain. Later in the evening, the stitching of the existing Kiswah will be carefully undone from its sides. At midnight (12:00 AM), the process of replacing the old Kiswah with the new blessed covering will commence.
