If a Commission appears institutionally assertive in one context but conspicuously toothless in another, while proceedings against fellow Hindus are pursued with alacrity, the issue is no longer merely administrative. It goes to the credibility, consistency and constitutional neutrality of the institution itself. We cannot seriously invoke “Hindu unity” while tolerating a system in which solidarity appears selective and institutional power seems unevenly exercised. साहब, ‘डॉग-व्हिसलिंग’ से पहले ज़रा अपने ही समाज की आवाज़ सुन लीजिए जवाब वहीं मिल जाएगा, जहाँ से शायद आपको उम्मीद नहीं थी। भीम आर्मी के प्रति अपने ही समाज की प्रतिक्रिया बहुत कुछ कह रही है। हर मुद्दे में जाति का बारूद भरना, माहौल गरम करना और फिर खुद को ‘न्याय’ का प्रहरी बताना यह दोहरा खेल आखिर कब तक? Delhi Police सवाल सीधा है, भड़काऊ बयान पर कार्रवाई होगी या कानून भी प्रभावशाली चेहरों के सामने बेबस रहेगा?

भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था बढ़ रही है लेकिन इसका अर्थ यह नहीं कि बढ़ते सरकारी कर्ज पर सवाल पूछना बंद कर दिया जाए। यही Anand Ranganathan की बात का सार है। न्यूज़18 पर उनका तर्क विकास के खिलाफ नहीं था बल्कि राजकोषीय आत्मसंतोष के खिलाफ था। केंद्र पर लगभग २०१ लाख करोड़ रुपये का कर्ज और कुल सरकारी कर्ज का सकल घरेलू उत्पाद के ८० प्रतिशत से ऊपर होना गंभीर विषय है। ब्याज भुगतान पर राजस्व का बड़ा हिस्सा खर्च होना भविष्य की नीतिगत गुंजाइश को भी सीमित करता है। आनंद सही सवाल उठाते हैं कि कर्ज लिया जा रहा है तो किसलिए। उत्पादक पूंजीगत निवेश भविष्य की क्षमता बनाता है लेकिन लगातार उधार लेकर वेतन सब्सिडी और नकद योजनाएँ चलाना स्थायी समाधान नहीं हो सकता। उनकी सबसे बड़ी विशेषता यह है कि वे राजनीतिक चश्मे से अर्थव्यवस्था को देखने से इनकार करते हैं। सरकार अच्छा करे तो प्रशंसा और गलत करे तो आलोचना बिना किसी अंधे बचाव के। आज जब आर्थिक बहस अक्सर राजनीतिक निष्ठा की परीक्षा बन गई है आनंद रंगनाथन का यह बौद्धिक साहस सचमुच प्रशंसनीय है। विकास का समर्थन कीजिए लेकिन कर्ज के सवाल को दबाइए मत। यही गंभीर राष्ट्रहित है।

That’s Brij Lal, a former IPS officer and former BJP Rajya Sabha MP, speaking about Phoolan Devi. People who haven’t read, researched or bothered to understand history will confidently manufacture narratives and then circulate them as facts. The irony is that Brij Lal Ji himself comes from the Dalit community and has spoken from the standpoint of experience and knowledge. This is how misinformation thrivesnot through a lack of information, but through the arrogance of people who know nothing yet speak with absolute certainty. Ignorance is forgivable, intellectual dishonesty is not. When someone refuses to read, refuses to learn, and then confidently invents a version of history that serves their prejudice, they aren’t merely uninformed they are manufacturing ignorance and passing it off as truth.

A genuine question deserves a factual answer, not a convenient strawman. The premise that “not even a single member” of the Reservation Hatao Andolan has raised the issue of Muslim or Christian reservations is simply incorrect. Dr. Neha Das has repeatedly spoken about this very issue, not once but across numerous posts and tweets. Her position has been publicly available for anyone willing to look beyond selective timelines. So before constructing an argument around what the RHA supposedly “doesn't demand”, perhaps the first step should be to actually examine what its prominent voices have already said. You can disagree with their position, challenge their arguments, or demand greater clarity that is legitimate. But attributing a position to a movement while ignoring people who have explicitly addressed the very issue is not a serious critique. Debate the argument, not an imaginary version of it.

This is the daughter of Deepak Thakur, a soldier who was lynched after being accused of beadbi simply because he had gone to drink water. If people choose to remain unaware of such incidents, or acknowledge only those facts that suit their preferred narrative, no amount of evidence will help. I am not giving a clean chit to the Congress, Indira Gandhi, or Sanjay Gandhi. They deserve scrutiny for what happened in Punjab and 1984 under their rule . But I will not become selectively blind to incidents that have occurred in more recent times just because they are inconvenient to someone's politics. थोथा चना बाजे घना. Those with the least knowledge often make the loudest claims. Facts demand honesty, not selective outrage.

People who imagine themselves repositories of all knowledge, sitting in India and a few abroad, and casually throw around phrases like “Bastard Brahmins”, should listen to Dr. Sampath, a widely acknowledged scholar. He recounts how he could not even write about the plight of Chitpawan Brahmins because of the fear of repercussions, and how the person collaborating with him eventually withdrew out of fear. Yet, an intellectually lazy class continues to reduce an extraordinarily complex history to one convenient caricature Brahmins as perpetual oppressors. Scholarship demands that we examine suffering wherever it exists. Otherwise, what we call social justice is merely selective memory dressed up as moral certainty.

I wish the video had continued instead of ending where it did. Too often, half baked clips are circulated to manufacture a narrative of effortless harmony while omitting what happened next. These very singers later apologised with folded hands after being accused of beadbi for singing "कृष्ण तेरी मुरली ते भला कौन नहीं नाचदा" on Janmashtami, with Sikh Rehat Maryada cited against them. Context matters. Selective storytelling rarely does.
