Following the historic agreement signed between the Government of #Somaliland and DP World that saw DP World invest over half a billion dollars, the strategic port of Berbera in Somaliland is rapidly emerging as a crucial hub for global trade, especially in light of recent disruptions at other ports in the Red Sea region. The name "Berbera Port Somaliland" is now recognized as a player in the boardrooms of shipping and financial conglomerates. Plans are underway to expand capacity to 2 Million TEU, further positioning Berbera for the near future, as a formidable force not only within the region but in global trade as well.

Yesterday, the Somaliland Ministry of Foreign Affairs MFA Somaliland witnessed a seamless transition as we formally handed over responsibilities to the newly nominated foreign minister, Abdirahman Dahir Adan. Serving Somaliland over the past few years first as Deputy Finance Minister and later as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs has been both a privilege and an honor. As I return to life as a private citizen, I remain steadfast in my commitment to defending and advocating for Somaliland. I will neither tire nor rest until we achieve our shared dreams and aspirations. This young man from Mogadishu has a far deeper understanding of the realities of #Somaliland than most Mogadishu politicians, whose false claims of sovereignty over Somaliland are not only illogical but also illusory. However, most of their younger generation are more pragmatic towards SL and less attached to the failed Somali Weyn experiment that went horribly wrong at its inception.
