This is the first time I've ever seen an LLM operate a GUI as fast as a person, and it's surreal.

With Astra, ChatGPT is nearly 2x faster at computer use than before. In addition to the amazing new model, we’ve optimized the harness to make computer use run much faster. These optimizations work in existing models too, so tasks are sped up by ~60% in GPT-5.6 Sol. Try it!

Today we’re releasing Appshots in Codex. I love this feature! It makes it so easy to integrate Codex into everything I do on my Mac.

One of my favorite parts of the new Computer Use feature in Codex is the cursor. Cameron Burgess cooked up this crazy design that calculates natural and aesthetic motion paths and Kieraj Mumick Dexter Leng and Phil Z built it.

Taking a 2 hour Waymo from South Bay to SF, but I don’t think the software is ready for it. The UI started glitching and I was able to crash the whole thing, twice, just by messing with the map.
