I have tried to do this repeatedly and cannot. My husband cannot do it either. Is there anyone out there that can do it?

I swear one of the clearest signs that critical thinking skills are disappearing can be found in the comment section of any recipe. I watched a woman yesterday making one of those dump-and-go crockpot meals. She chopped up ONE onion and put it in. You would have thought she’d dumped motor oil in the crockpot. “I hate onions!” “Why would you put onions in that?” “I can’t stand onions!” Okay. Nobody cares that you hate onions. Don’t put the damn onion in. The same thing happens with salads. Somebody posts what they put in theirs and here come the complaints. “I don’t like avocado.” Fine. Don’t use avocado. “I hate tomatoes.” Then leave the tomatoes out. Nobody is standing in your kitchen forcing you to put them in the bowl. When did we lose the ability to look at a recipe and think, “That sounds good, except I’ll leave out the stuff I don’t like”? A recipe isn’t a court order. It’s a suggestion. Use a little critical thinking and make the food the way YOU like it.

Every US Marine veteran understands. Not sure how we’re going to fix the bullshit from the 14th amendment destruction by SCOTUS today, but I’m reminded of this famous quote

Earlier today, I was told there was a lot of controversy over John Bolton going to prison because he was too old. I guess I’m so old. I remember when she was still a senator at 89.

People love throwing “stolen valor” at me and other women veterans like it’s a free hobby. It isn’t. I served. I earned my uniform. I don’t owe every basement prosecutor on the internet my DD-214, my trauma, or my life story. Block button works fine for trolls. But if someone wants to knowingly spread false claims about my service, bring your lawyer and your checkbook. We can meet in my attorneys office The First Amendment protects opinions. It does not give you a free pass to defame people with lies. Women served. Women earned it. Cope harder.

I can’t thank you enough for how wonderful you’ve been to me. Gosh, she lives at one point I was trending number 14 in the United States. That’s never happened. This has been a weird birthday for me because I have outlived my mother and my father knew it’s a very odd feeling and I appreciate all the love y’all showed me today. I made this video last night when I found this picture of me at the age of six. On my 73rd birthday, I keep looking at this little girl and wondering what she would think if she could see the life waiting ahead of her. The heartbreak. The survival. The laughter that came back anyway. The strength she never knew she’d need. I think I’d tell her: “You don’t know it yet, baby girl… but you make it.” What would you tell your six-year-old self?

I took this video myself today at my Walmart. Someone decided to community note my cashmere post, so I went back to show you. This is the display under the cashmere sign. Watch me pick up the sweaters and read the tags. There's nothing cashmere about these supposed cashmere sweaters. Walmart, if you're going to put up a cashmere sign, put cashmere under it.
