Two Black boys running a lemonade stand received an unexpected show of support after someone called 911 on them. Instead of shutting them down, Kansas City police officers and firefighters showed up to support them, helping them earn hundreds of dollars. This is what community should look like! Investing in our youth instead off discouraging their entrepreneurship. ✊🏿

Three Black men were exonerated after spending nearly 30 years in prison for the 1997 killing of a Philadelphia woman, despite no physical evidence tying them to the crime. Prosecutors said the case relied on unreliable eyewitness testimony and flawed forensic findings. This is why we keep demanding truth, accountability, and justice in a system that too often steals the futures of our people. Wrongful convictions destroy families, rob generations, and can never truly be repaid.

Brionna Johnson was told she would have to end her pregnancy and undergo a hysterectomy. Instead, a 27-pound fibroid was removed while preserving her pregnancy and her ability to have children. Too often, Black women face limited options or are not heard. This outcome shows what is possible when patients are listened to and given real care. Equity in maternal care is not a luxury, it is a necessity.

A historic Black cemetery in Palmetto, Florida, was vandalized, with graves damaged and “Trump” and “DeSantis” spray-painted across tombstones. Our ancestors deserve dignity in life and in death. Desecrating sacred burial grounds is hateful, painful, and unacceptable. We must protect Black history and honor the families impacted by this cruelty.

Keith Porter Jr. was a father of two, a son, and a brother whose life was stolen by an off-duty ICE agent. His family gathered in grief demanding the truth. We will continue to stand with Keith Porter Jr.’s family until there is justice, transparency, and answers.

John Mendoza Jr. had just completed his freshman year at Texas State University and returned home for the summer. Instead of celebrating his future, his family is now mourning his loss after he was fatally shot by a sheriff's deputy in his own garage. His loved ones deserve answers, and the public deserves transparency. My heart is with the Mendoza family as they seek truth, accountability, and justice.

Four USPS workers have died at the Palmetto, Georgia mail sorting facility since it opened just two years ago, including Eric Smith and Demarcus Little, whose deaths have left coworkers searching for answers. Now, workers are raising concerns about safety and the inability to reliably call for help inside the building. No one should fear losing their life simply for going to work!

ICE arrested Arlit Martinez two days before her 15-year-old son died from cancer. The Maryland mother of four was headed to work when she was detained. Despite urgent pleas from her family, lawyers, and doctors, she was not released to say goodbye. She is reportedly still in federal custody. Her husband is now left to grieve and bury their son alone. This is beyond cruelty.

An Oakland County probate judge who was recorded calling Black Americans “lazy pieces of s***” and declaring “I’m a new racist” has retired, after a WXYZ investigation and 15 months on paid leave. She reportedly even bragged about being “untouchable” and claimed other judges would back her up.

Tyron McAlpin, the deaf Black man with cerebral palsy who was falsely accused of assault by Phoenix police, says he tried to point to his ears to tell officers he couldn’t hear them before he was punched 10+ times and tased 4x. This brutality remains unconscionable!

Two brothers from Richmond were the first in their family to go to college, and they both became doctors. Now Drs. Travan and Travis Jasper are home, leading the emergency room at the hospital that serves the same community that raised them. Think about the child in Richmond who walks into that ER and sees these two men running it. That child just saw their own future. Congratulations, Doctors. Keep leading. We are proud of you. This is what it looks like to stand up when democracy is on the line! Florida Rep. Angie Nixon disrupted a special session to protest gerrymandering, declaring, “This is a violation of the Constitution.” We must continue to protect the power of the people’s vote! ✊🏿 🎥: philsomething/IG

A burning cross is not a prank. It is not a misunderstanding. It is one of the most recognizable symbols of racial terror in American history. For generations, burning crosses were used to intimidate, threaten, and instill fear in Black communities. Seeing one set ablaze in a public park in 2026 is disturbing and unacceptable. Hate cannot be normalized, excused, or ignored. Those responsible must be identified and held accountable.

This is BEYOND heartbreaking! 7-year-old Jor’Dynn Duncan allegedly endured months of torture, abuse, and neglect before dying from an untreated infection tied to nearly 90 injuries on her small body. Three generations of women now face charges, including murder and manslaughter. No innocent child should ever suffer this kind of cruelty.

A family in Lee County, GA, was enjoying a reunion together when a man drove by yelling racial slurs. Minutes later, he returned wearing body armor and carrying an AR-15-style rifle before opening fire. Marine veteran Ramell Green stepped in to protect his family from a hate-fueled attack. Black families deserve to gather, celebrate, and make memories without fear of becoming targets. This was no misunderstanding but a deliberate act that endangered the lives of children and elders. When innocent lives are put in the crosshairs of hate, accountability is not optional and justice is NOT negotiable.
