Radar loop showing ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred making landfall on Saturday evening. As the system continues over land it will bring a large amount of rain across the south-east and parts of southern inland Queensland, in the next 2-3 days.

Tropical #CycloneAlfred is steering a band of rain, with some heavy falls towards the coast of southern #Queensland about and south of Brisbane. Rain will set in tonight then stay wet for several hours. Heavy falls may lead to flooding. Radar here:

It was a wet night for Queensland's Central Coast with Mackay recording 92 millimetres – more than double the July average! 🌧🌧 Showers and strong, gusty winds will spread to the North Tropical Coast tomorrow before easing later in the week. More:
